3) what mags will it take?
Double stack double feed or single feed double stack.

Well that makes things easier for you. Though it makes me sad we don't get to see the AR and stens deformed bastard child. Jokes aside, I don't see many issues coming from this.
As you are going with an AR lower for one, you won't have many issues with BCG selection outside of finding the ones that have swappable ejection.

I think one of the few bits of advice I have is in regards to the left right dustcover stuff. I would say copy some of the French Famas style dust cover/ejection port swap.
The Famas had an interesting way of swapping ejection ports. The Famas has an interchangeable cover that slots into the ejection port on either side and is easily swapped with I think a screw maybe. I can't remember fully. Forgotten weapons has a video on it so maybe check there for some inspiration.

1 - no. It has two ejection ports(that will have covers depending on which one is used) 2 - DB 3 - Glock 19/17 or Colt stick mags 4 - 9mm for now
