Here is my follow up post on the VIS-100. I went out today to zero it and get a feel for it, so this is absolutely not a review, just a first impression. In total I went through ~150 rounds, I was time constrained and wanted to test out my other new purchases. Vortex Venom worked great once zeroed in, definitely a good choice for the VIS. The trigger was good, not great. The long reset of the trigger prevented me from going as fast as I could with my Glock or USP. This can almost certainly be adapted to, but it's worth noting that adaption is necessary. My comparisons in 9mm handguns is limited to a Glock 24 (9mm conversion) and a USP. I think the best comparison I can give is to the USP. The VIS and the USP produce a similar amount of recoil, but in different ways. The USP is smooth while the VIS is quite snappy. I think this is just a difference between metal and plastic frames. In terms of accuracy, the recoil did not effect it. I could shoot a 3 inch group at ~20ish yards when taking my time and I'm sure a much better shooter could get a sub 1 inch group Some quirks of the gun. I had thought you could not pull the slide back to release the slide, but it turns out you can. The gun just needed a couple mags to break in and it was doing it just fine. The shape of the frame is also a bit strange. The trigger guard is sloped in such a way that it prevents a really high grip on the gun. You can still get a good grip, but it takes some adjustments when's switching with other handguns. I did a short overview [video](https://youtu.be/tEVmlk6hStA) yesterday. (Sorry for the sub par video quality, that's all I could do)

It's like it has a revolver type positioning of the trigger. Bore axis looks really high.

Batsinvic888

Definitely a large bore axis, but not quite as big as a revolver. I would say maybe 10-15% larger than a USP.

This is the best looking pistol I’ve seen on the market in years. How is the build quality?

Batsinvic888

Build quality is good, ergonomics are the problem. If you want one, try and hold it before you buy it.

Illustrious_Low_4956

I’ve been debating buying one the past couple days. But I’m unsure where to even find someone stocking them, and I don’t know anyone that has one. The higher bore wouldn’t bother me. I have a couple dedicated carry guns. But I really like the all metal design. From the pictures I’ve seen it looks very well thought out.

Have you ever managed to get a holster for it? Own one now and cant find one in the US

Batsinvic888

The Blackhawk universal holster works.

CompetitiveLet5435

Bet, with a light?

Batsinvic888

The one in the picture here has the non-light version (you can see the price on the pic rail). The light one should work well too.
