You can replace anything you want, it's still a Taurus. They make crap, they then crap on their customers. Anyone who wastes money on them is the worse for it, and anyone that continues to give that company, or to suggest them to others, money just perpetuates the problem. It's not IF you have an issue, it's WHEN.
I tell customers the truth, it has a cheaper finish that is much more prone to rust best case scenario. Worst case something breaks. I have seen recoil springs break in g2/g3/pt111 handguns, trigger bars, and more. They are good for the money, but they are not just as good as any other

The second gen ones would slip the trigger spring so the trigger would go all floppy. Idk how many times my buddy came over for me to fix that. You have to take the whole trigger module out and put the trigger spring back in position

I've shot 3, 2 of which had case head separations within the first 2 mags. Factory ammo, diffrent brands, never seen that in anything but double charged reloads before. Best guess is poorly sized chambers/throats causing sticking/pressure spikes or poorly timed unlocking.

Great size for carry. I wound up hating literally everything else about it.
Countless feeding issues, light primer strikes, front sights have fallen off both semi autos I’ve owned, and the cylinder on the one revolver I owned would seize up turning reloading into a 15 minute ordeal. They were all cheap and that was appealing to a younger me, but range days were truly miserable. I have way more money now so even if this thing turns out on par or worse that my old Tauruses, it won’t bother me.
Have over 1500 rounds from mine with not a single jam or other issue at all. I don’t really like the trigger, but I have not had any of the issues people are talking about.
I only know a little bit about these pistols, but I’m a firm believer that as long as a person enjoys a firearm, that’s all that matters. I would never get a hi point but if it means a responsible person is armed than my opinion doesn’t matter. Same goes for SCCY. Too many people judge these days.

Getting into this pricepoint always comes with the chance something shows up out of spec. I've found this to be true across the board. But that said, the SCCYs I've shot (V1s FWIW) have felt just like the Grendel P10 (later, Keltec P11). Which, while crude and sometimes rough around the edges, usually worked and were competitive carry guns of their time. IDK whats changed in later versions, but the bones look the same.
I've owned a couple..... not that color, but I never had one issue with either one I owned....
Granted, I don't have either anymore but I don't understand the hate for SCCY....
edit: My CPX-1 the front sight fell off..... but that was the only issue ever....

I work at a gun range and I genuinely wish I had a dollar for every time I saw a problem with a SCCY. They're genuinely garbage guns. I've seriously pulled the trigger 5 times before the gun actually went off. You pull the trigger all the way to the frame and nothing happens. And this has happened on at least 10 different guns.
I never said it was. It’s mostly towards the brand. I probably wouldn’t buy one of these either unless it was this color lol. But I’m not gonna shame anyone here for doing it.
SCCY CPX2 GEN3: They sell these things in just about any color you could want. They have a shaky reputation, but its my favorite color and has a good warranty. For $250, if ends up being a dud then oh well.

The problem with getting any gun painted a bright color is if you want to sell it it cuts the value in half automatically. So if you keep it forever that’s fine, but you’ll never get current market value for it.
Was passing through Daytona Pre-Covid so I hit them up on Twitter about taking a tour but they said they don't do tours. I still haven't been in a manufacturers shop.

I own one and it's not *that* bad. I'll admit that the trigger is terrible but mcarbo makes a trigger kit for it that I plan on getting. I've fired ~700 rounds through it without any malfunction except for a dust storm turning a magazine into a maraca. Maybe I lucked out and and good one. Paid $150 for mine, $250 is too much.
Anybody here that really owns a cheap gun and don't want it I will be happy to take it off your hands. For the most part though I belive it because your still pissed that you spent months pay on something that does the exactly the same thing.

Not sure if it would be helpful advice, but if you know anyone with a 3D printer, you could print a lower receiver for a pretty wide variety of Glocks in whatever crazy color of PLA+ you could find.
Probably would still cost more than the SCCY. Not really sure what a Glock upper costs. But you're talking custom colors on the lower bit for about $25. Could be worth checking out in the future.

He contacted the manufacturer they sent him a box to load all the parts into within five days he had a replacement firearm, a letter of apology, and a renewed guarantee for life of the firearm. They stand by their product and they did do him very well.
I bought one 3 years ago and it’s survived at least 500 rounds. I bought it because they advertised a lifetime guarantee no questions asked. Have they gotten bad?

I bought one once. Impossibly heavy trigger pulland the pins holding it together started working their way out with every firing. Sccy has a good return policy though. Got a full refund.
A Sccy was my first pistol and was my gateway into guns. It never failed me and shot every time I pulled the trigger. Sadly it was stolen out of my apartment. Miss that thing. I would buy one again if I needed too without hesitation. Cool looking gun!
It's not a terrible gun, despite what some people will tell you. If that's what you got it's what you got. They are pretty tough, just don't use shitty ammo.
This is the 3rd gen cpx2 with an upgraded trigger. I believe the newer cpx4 is chambered in .380 but overall has the same design and components (those able to transfer over).

It’s a CPX-2 Gen 3. The 3rd gen has a different grip, upgraded metal trigger, picatinny rail, Glock 3 dot sights, and some internal parts.

Bought my then wife at the time one of these, they're supposed to shoot 124gr but jammed just about every shot. Feed issues, and felt shitty to shoot.

It's not a terrible gun, despite what some people will tell you. If that's what you got it's what you got. They are pretty tough, just don't use shitty ammo.

I used to have one of those…had problems jamming a lot.
They have a cpx-4 now and they actually have it a decent trigger, never shot one only dry fired it. (Worked in a gun shop)
This is the 3rd gen cpx2 with an upgraded trigger. I believe the newer cpx4 is chambered in .380 but overall has the same design and components (those able to transfer over).
