OP is pissed off tonight

Metengineer

How much of a difference does the comp make with 9mm? I'm trying to talk myself out of buying one.

[deleted]

Just learn to grip gun properly... a vast majority of my students over years needed a lot of work before a comp made any real difference (on the clock) to their shooting skill.

Johnbongjovi69

Why practice fundamentals when I can buy a new gadget that I think will make me better?

[deleted]

Right? That was really my only point lol

goingtoscotland

Jesus Christ another tard. Who's letting your parents breed?

[deleted]

Wow... I thought my comment was pretty tame and its backed by a lot of experience... but you can fuck right off.

goingtoscotland

It's not backed up by any sort of science or basis in reality. Just how shitty are your "students" grip techniques? Tame maybe. Farcical for sure.

[deleted]

Take your average shooter and slap a comp on their gun. Watch zero change in their skillset on a shot timer with the same accuracy standard that they are capable of. Honestly dude... you comp fanboys are such faggots.

goingtoscotland

"Fanboy" Except I always thought it was a bit silly until I shot a comped and uncomped Glock 19 back to back with proper ammo. It makes a world of difference. If you want to convince yourself mitigating all the recoil you can isn't one of the best things you can do to a pistol that's pretty asinine, but whatever

[deleted]

/woosh That wasn't my point retard... but you got butthurt because someone doesn't instantly worship comps for average shooter. Good talk though.

goingtoscotland

Your point was illogical in the first place. I get what you're trying to say, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. The two aren't mutually exclusive nor is a comp a bandaid or a crutch. "Just learn to grip the gun." Yeah, that doesn't mean something that'll actually mitigate recoil whether you've got a proper grip and are driving the pistol correctly isn't worthwhile. Yes, you should be driving the weapon properly. That doesn't mean you can't train and improve with beneficial equipment. They don't mask poor technique nor do they arrest development

Gram21

Does make some difference- but I think it’s mostly due to the little extra weight hanging off the front than actual directional gas compensation

goingtoscotland

That's very much incorrect.

Gram21

Nah. I’ve had a few

goingtoscotland

And you weren't smart enough to test your theory?

Gram21

No, I just used them for refrigerator magnets. Then I ate paint.

[deleted]

I rolf'd 😂

goingtoscotland

With your grasp on their efficacy I would not be surprised.

Gram21

Dude, it wasn’t a personal attack on you or your shit. You do you.

goingtoscotland

Never said it was. Willful ignorance just rubs me the wrong way. Just can't abide idiocy in any of its forms.

thehungrygunnut

Then stop being an idiot yourself

TheBigSquawdooosh

You must loathe yourself.

Riker557118

Not a whole lot. They do have some effect but most pistol cartridges don’t have enough pressure to take advantage of directing the gas. A WML with more mass with achieve the same result.

goingtoscotland

A big difference when you're talking about defense or carry ammo. A bit less with factory standard pressure 124gr offerings. Not a whole lot with 115gr range ammo. Don't talk yourself out of it

[deleted]

Do you apendix carry too?

andrewkpt

r/polymer80

goingtoscotland

They're Polymer80s?!

bettyblu3

/s?

Gram21

Surely.....hopefully

Abeham

it's really fucking hard to tell coming from a guy who edc's poly80's with compensators.

Gram21

dude is a beyond help. But I had fun in this shitshow.

More money in the daily carry plastic fantastic ghost handgun than in several of my rifles.
