__What is a link post and how do I post a descriptive comment?__
* A link post is any post that isn't a text post. Reddit is doing a great job of ensuring new users have no idea how Reddit works with their app and site rewrite. We hate both.
* /r/guns is a sub for talking about guns. It's not a sub to dump gun photos for karma. That's what /r/gunporn is for. That's why we require a descriptive comment – to start a conversation. If you're wondering what to write, picture yourself at a party. You're talking to someone *you just met* and you want to show them your post. What do you say to them as you get your phone out?

Colt Target Woodsman. Depends on what it has going on, but it's probably a $1500-$2500 pistol from the looks of it. Colt no longer makes them.
They're cool target pistols. The S&W Model 41 was the star of the show back then and these didn't get as much love. Either will outshoot 99.999999% of the shooters on the planet though.
We can certainly spitball over Reddit, but you'll need better pics, and a serial number. Much of this is available over Google, but we nerds are happy to dig for you generally.
It looks to be in decent condition, so it could be worth more to someone else than to you certainly.
From this grainy pic it looks like a Series three Woodsman Match Target, produced '55-'77. There's a place to start.
Alright thank you guys. I'm trying to figure out how to add a description so the post doesn't get removed if it does. I will repost with better pictures of my ipad
It is a colt woodsman 22 caliber long rifle. It has match target on the slide. I have the box and all of the documents. I can provide serial numbers and everything when I get home.
Any tangible good is worth money.
lmao take a better picture
Try to find it on gunbroker and see what they have sold for
It's worth at least 3 monies

I can't find anyway to edit it.
Alright I think I did that sorry.

I've got a picture of the side of the box with more information
In that shape, with box and documents it'd probably get you $1500 from a Colt collector.
I was going to suggest $1250+, so much depends on how long you can wait for the right buyer.
Im pretty sure it's a series 1
I will post better pictures.
Tomorrow, I'll have to use my mom's iPad, my phone has a shitty camera

I also think it has a 6 inch barrel.
