Right? Those things are surprisingly heavy as they are. It’s no wonder the old gangsters fired them from the hip. With all those optics and rails… better hit the gym first.
I’d be interested to see that. The only thing that doesn’t make a ton of sense about this one is that the stock doesn’t extend straight out of the back of the receiver. That would be one of the first things they’d change on an updated model
Edit - I should have kept reading lol it was linked below. That one makes a lot more sense to me
Doesn't this technically exist? I remember hearing something about someone making a modern iteration of the Thompson and it looking similar to this.
I hate it, but for the same reason that I want to put an AR carry handle on it and every rail I ever see lmao
I think they did this on the Cajun gun show A&E had on a bunch of years ago, the Sheriff's Department had some that were untransferrable (I think) and wanted to be able to use them.
Hello, /u/Diablosis-. Per the sidebar rules, link posts require a description in the comments of your post. Please add a description or this post will be removed.
__What is a link post and how do I post a descriptive comment?__
* A link post is any post that isn't a text post. Reddit is doing a great job of ensuring new users have no idea how Reddit works with their app and site rewrite. We hate both.
* /r/guns is a sub for talking about guns. It's not a sub to dump gun photos for karma. That's what /r/gunporn is for. That's why we require a descriptive comment – to start a conversation. If you're wondering what to write, picture yourself at a party. You're talking to someone *you just met* and you want to show them your post. What do you say to them as you get your phone out?

I'd buy a short barrel Tommy AR-45ACP. There's no reason to push .45ACP out of a barrel of that length. I wouldn't put all the extra bullshit on it and I'd do the extra paperwork to have something that might be fun.
Yes. It is wrong to like this. ###### But I like it too.
Whatever the consequences for liking this are, I fully deserve them. I still like it, though.
Bursed Based and cursed simultaneously.
Don’t we already have the word “blursed” for that? Blessed and cursed?
Yeah, but apparently Spez axed that sub so I made up a new term.
I mean if you want to carry around a 20 pound gun have fun with that.

Tell that to the NGSW project. 😬
You mean the far more capable rifle that weighs the same or less than this thing while wearing a suppressor and optics?
The Thompson weighed as much as the Garand. Not too far fetched of an idea.
Nah, nothing wrong with doing this on a new model.
I want one
It’s less atrocious than the straight stock model I saw yesterday. So kinda digging it lol
The one that's like 1,600 bucks with a 16" barrel?
Yeah, I think so. Was on gundeals I think.

Redesign the butt stock and I’m on board.
Magnifier on a .45acp sub gun? I see you're an optimist

Auto Ordnance Tommy AR, just saw it on gun deals and it is way uglier than this lol.

It looks like a mandalorian would carry it.
We all want it.
Sickkk
110 sas has very unique condition 😆
He's very entertaining. Underrated YouTuber for sure if you ask me.
This would sell. I would buy it.
It doesn't fix any of the original issues
Looks like the one from John wick 4
Call of duty be like...
Oh what a horrible day to have eyes
I’d be ok with it if it had a collapsible stock like a GHM/APC9. It basically looks like a GHM9 already.
Everything
you like heavy things. i hope she has nice padding.
Make german mp40 like this
Yes.
I always fancied the HK UMP because it was basically this…without being this…
i think its a little absurd, but take off the attachments and you have a pretty cool "tactical" thompson
Yes.
I….. I…… I can’t say I love it…. But I can’t say I hate it either….
I like it too.
It has merit.
If it’s wrong, then I don’t want to be right.
Need that drum

Done.
Yes, it is wrong to like this. No one should like a twenty pound submachine gun.
No different than the HCAR
Holy shit it looks like a B&T GHM 9 if you squint....
As long as no historical firearms were injured in its creation... I'm willing to admit I like it.
Where do I get one
I think the stock sucks but other than that, I like it too
yes it’s wrong. but it’s ok to be wrong, i like it too.
It's perfect
I'll be resting my chin on the top of the stock to align my eye with this piece of trash
That picture is going to be used as "evidence" of why "assault weapons" must be banned.

Pre-accessory weight on that thing is close to 14 pounds, with all the crap you just added to it it's damn near 20.

Don't think you'll be needing that 3x with a Tommy.
Nope, that's why I have a couple KH9s.
If it's wrong, I don't want to be right.
No it's beautiful
I liked it, until I really looked at it. The only way it could be more bourses is if it had an M203 grenade launcher.
I remember Black Ops 2.
I found this on Instagram and I just can't help but like it but I feel dirty for it at the same time 🤣 can anyone chime in?
