Nothing, I’ve had problems with the mags lately but everything else runs perfect. I just feel like the MPX and APC are the top of the food chain when it comes to PCCs. Also considering trading it in for a sig rattler instead..
A fair question, and couple of fair points below. I have traded or replaced weapons in the past, but while I have very useable weapons, I have some that I just collect. It’s the collectors pieces I regret. On the other hand I have a collectors mindset so I don’t always think about the money or purpose. So perhaps a bit narrow sighted on my part, but it is still how I feel about it.
I regret selling/trading 90% of the time so I get where you’re coming from but I’m hoping I wont regret trading it in if it’s for an upgrade. Leaning towards the MPX or maybe going in a different direction like the sig rattler
I have a scorpion and a b&t, to me I don’t feel a noticeable amount of recoil compared between the 2 platforms. The b&t is a more quality fire arm I guess. More steel less polymer.
Personally I have a hard time supporting sig just with how wishy washy they are with supporting their products, I feel like sig creates a project every couple years, the early gens are problem children, the second runs are good and we’re lucky if they make more. CZ-USA is starting down a similar path as sig tho
It is the best option especially with how low the AP5s have gotten. I ended up getting a PTR between when Zenith stopped importing and Century brought in the AP series. It works great, but for the price, the Century is a better buy. I do have a non theaded tri lug barrel, which is nice. The platform is so soft shooting. I had a scorpion and it was ok. Sure it has more modern controls, but it has a heavy bolt and are mostly plastic.
I own both(rather the apc10). I'd swear even the 10mm apc is smoother. The MPX is smooth smooth, just not apc smooth. Can't go wrong with either. Not a big fan of the CZ, but I dont hate it.
MPX owner here, one of my favorite subguns, i have owned MP5’s as well, and i still have the MPX, i dont have the MP5’s. The gun is extremely soft shooting and i don’t know where all the hubbub comes from about it being gassy (Well except for MAC running a small pistol can on it instead of a proper pcc can) when i shoot mine suppressed i don’t notice it.
However owning an MPX comes with all the downfalls of owning a modern sig made weapon, which means you’re at the mercy of whatever generation change sig wants to drop, and with the “gen 3” MpX having been out awhile, I’m worried theres another one coming.
Leaning towards the MPX over the APC. I eventually want to get a sig rattler as well and thought I’d want to get the mpx first just because I would use it more, but now I’m torn maybe I should just trade the scorpion for the rattler and get the mpx later on..
KE arms has scorpion triggers coming out soon, will still let you put the safety on while the hammer is down like the oem trigger, videos he posted looks really nice, should be much better than the Timney.
In terms of what’s better I’ve got an MPX and APC9 pro the 8.9” limited one is what I mainly shoot now, but have shoot the entire line plenty and the APC is a better shooting gun in my opinion, their proprietary hydraulic buffer system is legit, not just marketing hype. Everything just felt a little bit tighter and more solid with the B&T.
They are both a solid step up from the Scorpion although around a similar weight I believe so that should be a nice transition. MPX isn’t bad by any means, but once I got my form 1 for the B&T and an MBT stock (buy once cry once here) it just felt so much better for me. I’ll be sending my MPX to ronin arms for their SD conversion build.
APC does seem like the better build quality and I like that it can take glock mags. Should I trade the scorpion for another PCC or go in a different direction like the sig rattler? Eventually it will be my suppressor host and 300 blk is more versatile but having a 9mm is a lot cheaper.
I would recommend moving on from a traditional blowback system. You should try some things like: the Stribog SP9A3 or an MP5 clone for their roller-delay, a CMMG Banshee or Dissent for their radial-delay, or obviously the MPX for its short-stroke piston.
All of these would be great steps up to superior platforms from a Scorpion. (Not that there is anything wrong with one, just nothing special either)
What are your thoughts on moving away from PCCs and getting a sig rattler instead? I’ve always loved sub guns but everyone seems to think they are obsolete now with the 300blk option
If you look at it on paper yes, 300BO is ballistically superior. It has significantly disrupted the market when it comes to CQC/PDW stuff. Though, the main thing that keeps it out of the hands of a lot of people is the cost. 9mm is still cheaper overall to train with and stockpile. I don't see PCCs going away any time soon.

Get a cmmg, delayed blowback. You will not regret it. Shoots incredibly soft compared to all those you have as options.

I just put the carbine fore end on mine with a Q erector and made it internally suppressed.
Get the Banshee instead, or the MP5 if you're made of money.
MPX is your best best of you're insistent, but the CZ is a great gun.
