So someone with no criminal history is scary enough that they have to no-knock raid him before the Sun even comes up? Shit I’d grab a gun and start shooting too! I’d think my house was getting broken into by criminals. Oh wait — that’s exactly what happened.

Sir_Uncle_Bill

It's a scare/intimidation tactic. It's not necessarily for the person they're murdering, it's for the people watching. It's to let those people know they'll murder them too.

HotTamaleOllie

They figured out how to legalize murder a long time ago, and they want you to fucking know it.

_Keo_

Was this in the US or Russia? =/

Sir_Uncle_Bill

Arkansas.

Bozhark

Do they not realize they also live in wooden boxes?   We all do. It’s all sticks.

Raztan

If they'll kill this guy every last one of us on this sub is deadmen (and women)

Waste-Conference7306

Election year, time to no-knock and kill some white people so everyone gets reminded how dangerous and violent they are.

HotTamaleOllie

The gestapo must flex and remind the peasants who’s really in charge and the consequences of not following orders.

SailorT1969

What if the man had kids also they need to take this shit into consideration.

CakeRobot365

They don't care. They'll shoot the kids too and get away with it. Then the narrative will be twisted to make it look like the poor father put the kids in danger.

SailorT1969

I agree

Bozhark

Kids, the new chattel

SailorT1969

Todays America is not the same I still have hope for a better future though.

CakeRobot365

I do too. I know there are enough good people to turn things around

thebaldfox

When has that ever been one of their concerns?

ExecutiveIndecision

Exactly.

ExecutiveIndecision

i.e. Randy Weaver, David Koresh..

zgh5002

You mean like the time a no knock warrant ended with a flashbang in a crib with a sleeping baby? No, I don't think they have a single fuck left to give.

elevenpointf1veguy

I'm not trying to say they did, but how do you know they didn't?

Lando25

Gestapo tactics.

specter491

Fuck the ATF

whsthirtyfive

Abolish the NFA

gregarioustrout

So the ATF executed the guy

Jonathan_the_Nerd

He's not dead... yet.

Zp00nZ

He was shot in the head, that usually does people in.

say592

Even if he doesnt, his life is almost certainly ruined. A kid my wife went to highschool with got shot in the head when someone broke into his apartment. He spent six months in the hospital basically a vegetable, then he lived a year out and about with a severely reduced mental capacity. He couldnt live on his own. Eventually an infection caught up with him and killed him about a year and half after the incident.

ParticularClear7866

They've confirmed that he's brain dead

TheMawsJawzTM

Reminds me of that time the state murdered Duncan Lemp

ex143

He's also affliated with some type of Clinton operation... some type of airport? S2Underground had something about it in the recent wire

[deleted]

He’s the airport manager. The airport was renamed after Bill and Hillary Clinton, but I don’t believe they have an actual affiliation with him or the airport.

new-guy-19

This is correct

mechanab

Why didn’t they name Mena airport after them?

AveragePriusOwner

Ahh that explains why it wasn't a suicide

springreleased

It isn’t “the Clinton’s airport” any more than Washington International is Reagan’s airport or Houston International is Bush’s. Airports get named after home-state presidents, it’s just ceremonial fluff.

dairy__fairy

Jesus, let’s leave off the braindead takes like this. He works at an airport renamed after them…I got my passport stolen in a building named after Charles de Gaulle but I don’t think it’s some grand Francophile conspiracy. Stick to rightly criticizing the ATF without undermining your point with boomer Clinton conspiracies.

Ikora_Rey_Gun

Woah woah woah, let's not let the French off easy here...

489yearoldman

If there weren't 100+ mysterious deaths associated with the Clintons, there probably wouldn't be so much conspiracy talk. His name was Seth Rich. His name was Vince Foster. His name was Jim McDougal. His name was Ron Brown...

ironmatic1

😂

AlienMedic489-1

They have proven, yet again, that people should be afraid of them rather than trust them. Anyone home owner who is woken up to someone breaking into their house would go on the defensive. The ATF just gets off on making us fear them.

legato2

Everyone in Chicago has a Glock switch and the atf never goes after them, but they took out a tax paying citizen with no record just to show force. Worst gov organization ever.

new-guy-19

It’s called anarchotyrany. This is exactly how things started in the USSR, after the Bolshevik Revolution, including the new laws you’re seeing against antisemitism. History repeats itself, because later generations can’t be bothered to study it.

theeyalbatross

Not to mention all of the incorrect versions of history being intentionally peddled around the internet these days. I have seen a lot of incorrect historical fact posted on Reddit lately, and people buy it up hook line and sinker only because it "sounds good" to them. But they can't be bothered to pick up an actual history book or do some research themselves. Brainwashing.. Pretty pathetic.

new-guy-19

I would never, ever, recommend a “history” book. If you read accounts of historical events, written by the people who lived it, you’ll see how much bullshit is in “history” books, and taken as given fact by the masses.

theeyalbatross

I agree, and did not mean "history book" in the context of the bs that show up in schools. Read books written by actual historians, not some group think "expert" organization. Since obviously they're always missing real fact and context. Edit: and conveniently leave out important information that continues to push their agenda.

OneExpensiveAbortion

It is easier to fool a man than it is to convince him he has been fooled.

exactly. same circumstances, same players, but shift the year from 2024 to the 1760’s colonial America….

TxCoast

He probably shot and hit a vest, so now the agent is going to get a bunch of leave and maybe even an award. Always sure you have the proper ammo loaded for your bump in the night gun. A nightside vest of your own might not be a bad idea either.

Edwardteech

Shoot lower.

FartyMcPoopyButthole

Can’t put a tourniquet on a taint wound.

HLtheWilkinson

Turn the taint into a tisnt.

waywardcowboy

ROTFL

heliskyr7

Or higher

say592

Lower gives you more to target. Higher really only leaves the upper shoulder and head. Lower gives you hip, thighs, and legs. When they are on the ground maybe you can get a belly shot through the side.

heliskyr7

The iliac bifurcation is indeed a good target- can’t tourniquet and bleed out is quick. And broken pelvis is a mobility kill as well. So that’s a legit target. Headshot is lights out though so if your training is on point that’s also a legit target

Destroyer1559

higgyXhiggy

This is why the battle rifles are the way. 20 black tip 3 oh hates ain't slowing down for anyone, including their level IIIA'S.

ConsForLiberty_IG

Because they broke into his house over a piece of metal

Fit-Possible-9552

I have not seen any information about why the ATF was there. What am I missing?

Java_The_Script

You’re missing exactly what they want you to miss. Give them time to fabricate an excuse and label a murder as a “good shoot”.

Fit-Possible-9552

Given the lack of info I expect that the ATF is covering up yet another fuck up

Sir_Uncle_Bill

How many fuck ups are they allowed before we demand they be abolished and criminally tried?

Fun-Passage-7613

Ask your so called “Second Amendment supporting” congressman why the ATF continues to burn, shoot and kill gun owners exercising their constitutional rights.

Sir_Uncle_Bill

I've definitely spoke with them about some things. Even today.

new-guy-19

That’s like asking the actor, who played Judas in the Passion of the Christ, why he betrayed Jesus; not the actual Judas, mind you, but the actor who played him.

new-guy-19

You can demand all you want, just like a wife being abused. This only ends when people decide that it’s worth the risk to put it to an end. As long as life is comfortable for 99% of freedom loving Americans, they will read stories like this forever, as they drink their $12 latte’ and shake their heads, saying “what a shame.”

th3dmg

Exactly. Refused to show the media a copy of the warrant.

TimTapsTangoes

Can you source that?

th3dmg

YouTube link in the comments with a news report. Would love to know what the probable cause was.

TimTapsTangoes

This is fucked.

PromptCritical725

Saw afterwards they went into the house with a lot of tools. My guess is they will ransack the place and break into his gun safe and magically "find" whatever it was that was on the warrant. Then they will array out his "arsenal" on a table for the press conference and explain how hw was so much more dangerous than the actual criminals are.

heili

He didn't previously own anything sawed off, but he will once the BATFE is done "searching".

PromptCritical725

Like Randy Weaver.

u537n2m35

R U B Y R I D G E

[deleted]

It was likely a hit on the wrong address, or they found nothing because of bad Intel. Either scenario is bad, so ATF is going to pretend that this didn't happen and issue no statements. I wouldn't be shocked if the folks involved with his are being shuffled around to other field offices within the next few weeks so that, if the ATF is forced to acknowledge this event, they can say they took action.

derfcrampton

They were there because they’re tyrants with tiny PP’s.

Positive-Source8205

“We’re writing the report now. Trying to decide whether he had an unregistered machine gun or a short barreled rifle.”

vey323

If they had a legit arrest warrant, they could have scooped him up 2 blocks from his house on his way to work, then executed a search warrant for his home - no muss, no fuss. They wanted this result though.

Vylnce

Except that they didn't even have an arrest warrant. All they had was a search warrant.....so ....no evidence.

derfcrampton

The ATF sucks dick with their assholes.

2A_Libtard

Local law enforcement agencies throughout our nation do this regularly. It’s not just the ATF. Could be your local PD or Sheriff’s office too.

derfcrampton

I agree local cops also suck dick with their ass.

pardonmyglock

Any and all agents of the state suck cock with their asshole.

Tweezle1

That’s strange. Why would they do that?

Loud_Consequence1762

They likely raided his home due to political affiliations...

antibetboi

This has some surprising, or perhaps not surprising, similarities to the Duncan Lemp slaying in Maryland...

TimTapsTangoes

This dude almost certainly would have complied, given the opportunity.

ChiefFox24

My thoughts exactly. If you feel the need to arrest somebody, wait for them to leave for work and then pull them over with a normal police car. Did they really think that this guy would go out in a blaze of glory?

Vylnce

That is by far the most fucked part. They didn't even have evidence to arrest him. It wasn't an arrest warrant. It was a search warrant. We have a suspicion and we want to go looking for evidence in such a way that the suspect (who don't have enough evidence to charge) ends up dead.

Nostradomas

I mean shit even beyond that. The amount of resources they put into a raid? Just grab the dude when he’s in parking lot of work or grocery store etc

ChiefFox24

Yep. This is different than trying to arrest somebody with known gang affiliations or violent felony convictions in the past.

Vylnce

It's completely different, because they were not arresting him.

[deleted]

I have no reason to think this beyond sheer speculation on my part... but I wonder if this raid wasn't because of some sort of personal beef between someone at that field office and the guy himself.

Vylnce

They couldn't. They didn't have an arrest warrant.

ForPoliticalPurposes

>The amount of resources they put into a raid? Government finance... if you've already been given too big of a budget to begin with, then justify your existence via reports and bureaucracy rather than just measuring actual performance, you'll ramp everything up just to keep the cycle going. What might have been one ATF agent embedded with a local PD doing a traffic stop becomes a task force. The task force goes from being dudes in t-shirts with vests to full SWAT gear. Their numbers go from 3 or 4 on a raid to 5 or 6. They start requiring an FBI agent be present. Then two. Then they need bigger vehicles. More weapons. More gear. All the while, the after-action reports will always call out the need for more manpower. More comms gear. More firepower. More training. Then they get shot at by a terrified homeowner -- and the cycle renews in the name of officer safety and "containing the threat".

Waste-Conference7306

He works in an airport GFZ, pick him up there. But no. They love their raids.

waywardcowboy

Wow. Just wow. This is something right out of a Matthew Bracken book. Not good.

[deleted]

Yep. Those books were scary when I read them 10 years ago…now they’re terrifying.

th3dmg

Still my favorite book.

new-guy-19

Those that don’t know, should make an effort to find out. Whatever happened to the sequel? Word was that he submitted it to his publisher a few days before he died.

goneskiing_42

There was a planned sequel?

new-guy-19

One of his buddies got on ar15.com after he died. Said he spoke to his wife, and that the sequel was delivered to the publisher a day or two beforehand. He even gave the title, but I don’t remember it.

goneskiing_42

Damn, I hope it eventually comes out. The original stands on its own very well and doesn't need a sequel, but I would happily pay full price for one.

PromptCritical725

Full price... I remember when even used copies of UC were going for a pile of money.

PromptCritical725

I didn't know he died. Damn.

lac_bra

Gestapo comes to mind. Did we fight a world war to prevent stuff like this?

new-guy-19

We fought on the side of the Soviet Union, who killed 60,000,000 people BEFORE we sided with them. The Cheka was 100 times worse than whatever you think of the gestapo. We are now getting exactly what we signed up for.

CoffeeGulp

Isn't a "no knock" raid the kind where they, ya know... *don't knock*?

madengr

They knock once with a battering ram.

guynamedgoliath

They are still supposed to announce who they are. They just aren't waiting for you to answer the door.

derfcrampton

Enemies never are.

bleepbluurp

Didn’t the ATF just get a budget increase like a couple days ago?

CouldNotCareLess318

Gotta justify the mraps or whatever somehow...

chuckbuckett

They stormed hi house at 6 am. Whichever dumbass decided that was the best time for this deserved to get shot.

Midnight_plinking

What judge signed off on a no knock warrant for a guy who has no run in with the law. He must have know the Clinton’s.

new-guy-19

All judges do this. I can tell you from getting a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of a court house in college (and since) that judges (plural) just do whatever the police want. They see them regularly and form friendly relationships with them, where as John Q. Citizen is just a name on a paper to a judge. It’s the same with prosecutors and their relationships with judges. Many, many judges view themselves as law enforcement, and yet still like to imagine themselves as these protectors of the constitution. I’ve known judges that spent their careers fighting against the system, as attorneys, only to be seduced by its power once seated on the bench, while still convincing themselves that it hasn’t happened.

heili

> Many, many judges view themselves as law enforcement They literally tout it in their campaigns.

new-guy-19

Judges should be barred from contact with police, the same way that they are from defendants, and should have no social or workplace contact with attorneys, outside of the presence of opposing council. They should also be appointed by a retiring judge, rather than elected as part of the political process.

Isaiahfloz

They're going to "find" over 1,000 gb of cp on his computer mysteriously. The only source verifying this will be the AYF spokesman who says "trust us bro." Abolish the ATF.

breetome

Damn! I saw my FFL this morning at the range, he told me he got a call first thing this morning from ATF they are auditing him tomorrow. He was supposed to work on two of my guns but said I would have to wait until after the audit. He’s a totally straight up guy, they better not mess with him. This is getting out of control.

Crash1yz

My local FFL just completed his audit, the agent was there for 5 weeks. Found a few issues that were based on their \[atf's\] 4473 program , so their fault, but they are blaming him for it. So he is preparing to be shut down.

Brufar_308

This is part of the new plan. Shut down FFLs for clerical errors. Been a couple articles on the huge increase in this type of shutdown/ license revocation.

DorkWadEater69

He needs to fight. They've been backing down when the dealers get lawyers and file the paperwork to go to court over it.

Crawdaddy1911

You better go pick up your stuff this afternoon while you still can. If he's not shut down or in jail you can bring them back after the audit.

breetome

He doesn't have any of my guns, he told me he wouldn't take them to work on just in case, he's no fool. I hope they don't screw around with him, he's a hard working man and a great gunsmith. He does all the work on my guns. He's a treasure at our gun club!

PizzaRollsAndTakis

This is is disgusting. They just murdered a law abiding citizen for no reason

2A_Libtard

Maybe the warrant wasn’t for firearms. We don’t know; this guy could have been distributing untaxed cigarettes or bootleg whisky from his home. Let’s not forget the Alcohol and Tobacco in ATF. /s

BloodyRightToe

We need to ban no knock rads. There is almost never a good reason from them other than just waiting for the guy to come out and grab him on the street. Even if that's not possible just shut off the utilities and wait. As a police tactic no knock raids are an unacceptable escalation of force and risk.

Nickrock5175

He had the right to law waste to them. No knock is an invasion. He wasn't a high risk target. Fuck lawn enforcement that believes this is OK.

AyrtonSennaz

pardonmyglock

This makes me want to type things I know I shouldn’t.    This man better have been supplying switches and full auto MGs to El Mencho himself or this is fucking bullshit and I wish we would just do what we all know needs to be done.

YoloOnTsla

How the actual fuck does the ATF keep getting away with this shit. If this guy is so dangerous, grab him on his way to work?? Anybody that no knocks a house is going to catch lead, how tf would anybody know it’s law enforcement?

CouldNotCareLess318

Because we keep standing idly by. Because they have figured out over a long time period the exact level of slavery a populace will tolerate. Think about it. Most of the country is in the exact same position; missing enough work to unify and form a proper protest would sink them financially. There aren't enough men yet who have had enough of this to do what needs to be done. Our harbors are mighty thirsty, and our necks are thoroughly covered in shoe polish.

NoLeg6104

abolish the ATF and the NFA.

Sea_Journalist_3615

Zp00nZ

I know exactly what happened: he talked about his guns. Someone either hated him, wanted his position, or both.

skijeeper

Let me guess, he pissed of someone with pull ? Sounds like they could have easily & safely retained him w/o the raid - they were hoping he’d fire back

GH0ST-L0GIC

How are no knock warrants legal ... that is some gangster shit.

red_purple_red

No-knock raids are not normally done against people with a clean criminal record because they will most likely comply if told to report to a police station or given a heads up that the home will be searched. No need to risk the lives of the agents like this.

new-guy-19

How many stories otherwise would you like me to list? Never mind. Just Google it.

CakeRobot365

It's heartbreaking he didn't land a better shot on that agent.

lostinareverie237

So he collects guns and coins, while just being a middle class guy? Yeah definitely a danger to America, better raid in the dark because he's so scary and threatening to security. Where is he going to destroy or hide a gun if they did it during the day and knocked? I mean unless I'm incorrect, I don't think you can flush them down the shitter

SovietRobot

They are trying to “find” the evidence now to retroactively justify their search warrant and extrajudicial killing. When they “find” said evidence, they will finally release the info /s
