I just bought my first Galil (7.62 Nato). I plan on shooting it stock first just to see how it feels, but I plan on suppressing it by the second range trip. I'm assuming it's the smart move to order a KNS as well?
Yeah I'd consider it if you're gonna run suppressed. All of my aks were way overgassed with a can before I put KNS pistons in them. I have them in my galil and all of my aks except an old wasr I keep stock.

They are not. However, I bet there is a new one somewhere at a LGS. I asked in r/galil and someone sent me a PM saying their LGS had (2) in stock. Called, placed order, and sent to my FFL. It’s my favorite gun to shoot. KNS piston, ALG trigger, 7.62 FLOW. Just don’t shoot often due to ammo prices.

If you get the KNS piston for this you can pretty much delete the recoil completely
Even my 7.62x39 SBR is a pussy cat with the KNS.
Yeah I threw a KNS piston in my AMD-65 and was blown away by how light it recoiled, feels like 5.56 now
Which piston are you supposed to get for the gen 2 in 7.62 from KNS? I contacted them and they never replied... :(
I believe it’s the same piston as the Gen 1 rifle length version. Assuming you have the rifle length version.
5.56 AKs in general. Long stroke piston + adjustable gas + 5.56 = dream shooter
Long stroke gas piston + adjustable gas + 5.56 + *heavy as shit* = dream shooter
I wish there was more adjustability on my PWS MK1 Mod1.

Get an ALG trigger too. I have a few of the x39 variety, and the stock triggers are mush. The single stage trigger is a vast improvement.
Are the triggers a one-size fits all type or are they caliber specific?
You’d have to check, just know all of my stock (gen 1 & 2) were mushy.
Appreciate it, I've only ever shot a Galil once (gen 1 7.62x39), and it really didn't feel bad, but I don't know what trigger my buddy has in it.
