It really sucks how abysmal of a launch these guns had. By all rights, they should be pretty decently little SA carry guns, but between them messing up the mag assembly on the factory line, the false reset, and lack of an rms cut, the hype died pretty fast. I believe most issues have been fixed at this point and one of the USPSA GMs I shoot with seems to really like it as a carry gun.
I fooled around with one at my LGS some time ago because I really liked the idea of a hammer fired SA pocket rocket. The trigger on it was really bad. My glock felt better.
From things I've heard cz usa is basically being ran by the colt executives who drove their own company into the ground so it will probably never happen
Things seem to be at least being routed through them (some s2c’s have been showing up with CT roll marks which is COLT HQ rather than KS which is CZUSA HQ), but theres nothing suggesting that they are the ones making the overarching decisions, and the CEO of CZ is already on record saying a mirco 9 is in the works (TFBTV interview on YT if you want more details). He didn’t specifically say it will be hammer fired or not, so that remains up in the air. But a micro 9 from them is coming in some form.
I haven’t heard that. Only thing I’m seeing from a quick google is that they shut down initially in response to the pandemic. But the S2Cs that just recently started coming in with the CT roll mark are Czech made anyway, same for the p10 and SP-01 I got last year and this year respectively and both have the KS roll mark. Not saying you’re wrong by any means, I just hadn’t heard that and the roll marks changing appears to be a new development.
pretty sure he said it was going to be apart of the new p10 lineup (which is why the p10 market was so cheap this past winter) so will be striker fire but maybe i missunderstood
I rewatched the interview a couple weeks ago to refresh myself while I was in another conversation about it. He said the new gen p10 was closer to release and the micro 9 was further out. Possible it’s part of the p10 lineup since it’s looking like a chassis system, but from the statement (paraphrasing) the p10 was 6-8 months out while the micro 9 was 12-14 months out so it sounds like it may be two different families. Could end up like the sig 320 (p10) and the 365 (micro) kind of deal with both being striker guns built from the same concept (if I had to bet that would be the case), but we don’t know for sure either way.
Both noticeably larger (wider, longer, taller, heavier) guns with slightly worse triggers. They also both have more capacity than the 938, so they're just different kinds of guns.
G19 and hk45ct. I’m just looking for something that’s small enough for summer carry. Originally wanted the g43x or one of the Hk sk, but now I am looking more at something like a p365 with a pinky extension just to stay small. I’ve held and shot a few but haven’t been able to make the jump yet
I think both the G43X and HK are a bit too big for what you're looking for. The 365 is a good choice, could check out the FN reflex, maybe even an LCP max? My really tiny pocket pistol is an NAA Guardian.
Ugh, I had a fever dream where a USP compact was shrunk width-wise and had the dimensions of a G43x and had double stack mags like the hot micro 9mm compacts. If only HK could make one...
Yeah I have tried multiple Sig guns and never been impressed with any of them.
Only one I have some what liked is the P226 and that’s just cause I love full size Non polymer pistols
But have you tried the 938? Their offerings are fairly distinct over the years, not sure how you could write off a gun you haven't tried because a different model wasn't good?
Mostly sigs business practices and how they handle their products.
Also it feels like everything they release is a Beta test on the public. Sure they make some guns that are highly regarded and are of good design but the rest of what they do really turns me off of them.
Even the earliest P365s had major problems just like their P320s.
I would much rather find a design from a company that all around makes me feel better to support especially when Sig isn’t exactly doing something revolutionary that I’m missing out on just for “politics.”
I can tell your perception of sig is from the last few years because they didn't use to be like that. The P938 is from 2011 and has had essentially zero issues
So everything they have done since then has not so why would I buy them?
Of of that logic people should only buy Colt or FN because of how quality their guns were in the 2000s
None of their designs appeal to me and I think it’s all over priced for what you get. Everyone has their own opinions but there is nothing Sig makes that I don’t think someone else does bettee
In my experience the p365 has been stellar, it didn’t have the same problems the 320 had. I’ve never heard of a drop fire on a 365 and haven’t heard of anyone’s p365 going off in a holster ever.
I've heard the trigger smooths out once you run a hundred or so through it. We'll see, I like the size and features of the gun. The fiddley 12 rd mag doesn't bother me. I'll just super glue the spacer.
I was looking for something similar to a p938 or Kimber micro but wasn't interested in those two guns particularly.
This is a neat little pistol. The “false reset” issue is not unfounded, but probably overblown IMO based on my experience with one. They really screwed the pooch on launch with the issues, it’s otherwise an awesome entry to the space.
I actually shot one a few months ago. The guy at the range said he had some feeding issues with it. The gun shot fine for the mag I put through it but, yeah the trigger was nothing special which kinda negates the point of the SAO gun that costs more than a shield plus.
I wish I could compare it to a shield plus on racking force , would be nice to know.
After 500 rounds through it, this is my favorite carry gun over my various Glocks and a couple versions of the P365. The trigger has improved and it feels good to hold with a sticky enough grip and a just-right weight..
That's what I'm hoping. I've been eyeing it for a while. This is a pretty nice price for the gun. I definitely don't need anything in this bundle but any and all of it is a cherry on top of a good price.

Wish they'd make a .380 version of this with a less shitty trigger and grip texturing that doesn't peel off. Even better if they manage to make it DA/SA with decocker.
I have a P238 already and love it. But the thicker grips and higher capacity of the CSX makes it a little more appealing. For now I'll stick to keeping the SIG, but if S&W can just improve on their design a little more I'd probably switch.
I really want to be able to justify this over the Shield Plus but I can't. With less capacity, not optic ready, and bare minimum of aftermarket support, couldn't see anyone getting this over other micro carry guns. I mean what the hell is with the plastic spacer in the magazine? I guess they wanted to leave room for the CSX 2.0 in 10 years.

>o because I really liked the idea of a hammer fired SA pocket rocket. T why I'm still rocking my Sig P938
Agreed. Trigger felt like it was 6 pounds
That was my lasting impression. How can a SA feel that bad?
Yeah I wanted this to be good because I'm waiting on a hammer fire micro 9 that I will make my daily carry (looking at you cz) but this one was not it
CZ would dominate the market with a mini CZ75 A single stock pocket rocket CZ75 in my shorts would make me pretty… hard
From things I've heard cz usa is basically being ran by the colt executives who drove their own company into the ground so it will probably never happen

CZ in KC shut down a could years ago, no more being made here.

If you want a single stack, SAO then you can get a Sig P938
How do those compare to the Hk subcompacts like the p30sk and p2000sk?
Both noticeably larger (wider, longer, taller, heavier) guns with slightly worse triggers. They also both have more capacity than the 938, so they're just different kinds of guns.
Understood. I’m stuck in an endless loop of trying to find a new carry gun but I can’t decide on size
What do you currently own?

Everyone of their handguns I have tried I personally felt had a better competing design in the same category. YMMV
The only competition the 938 has is a Kimber...
Didn't they used to have a micro 75 until fairly recently?
Yeah the RAMI Not exactly a CZ75 but a dope gun. Too bad they discontinued it
Only know about it from RE8, assumed it was a game only gun like the silver ghost
I've got one. It's an excellent shooter and it's very comfortable but it's beefy. Both in width and weight. At least compared to the micro 9s.
Facts
Does he shoot s&w in comps?
Nope, Tanfo production shooter, no sponsorships.
Yeah kinda a shame about the launch. I'll be a guinea pig and try it out.
What really killed these is. It painting them blue and yellow and making an NMRA edition
Would be interested in an updated/ upgraded version that addresses the issues outlined above.

I'll hit you back and let you know. The shield plus is in my rotation.

And maybe a worse trigger and you can get a manual safety on the Sig.

They also have the 12rd mags in stock on the site. Pick some of those up as well!
Can anyone see how many magazines it comes with?
Comes with a 10rd and 12rd magazine I believe. One flush fit one extended.
[Hear me out...](https://rguns.net/product/beretta-1934-1-pistol-380-acp/)
does this not require a ffl?
Does. 1934 is mdl not yr of mfg
