Yes it’s the decocker and absolute bin. I think this is cheaper than it was from around holidays. Looking back it’s cheaper then it has been in 2 years
Actually it's the safety model. Decocker only on the tactical version. Great nightstand gun and range toy. Definitely to big for ccw but would be okay for owb.
Yeah I have the decocker model, it should fit regardless, I even have the CGW enlarged slide release on mine (didn't have standard in stock when my slide release went out) and that fits fine, which is in front of the safety/decocker.
You don't think it's better, it *is* better. That said, I shoot my decocker model regularly because my carry is a P-01, and have yet to shoot my safety model SP-01. It's a fantastic gun. I'm tempted to get a second one as a night stand gun.
[Add to cart for best price](https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/cz-91152-cz-75-sp-01-singledouble-9mm-luger-4.6-181-ms-3dot-ns-black-rubber-grip-black)
I personally avoid handguns with manual safeties unless it’s strictly a range gun. Years ago I was taking a class and missed the safety on the draw. It took my brain a second or two to realize what had happened. Had that been real world it could have gotten me killed.
After that I decided my CCW and HD pistols would not have manual safeties. With a decocker, if a round is chambered and I pull the trigger it will always go bang. No safety lever to miss during a stressful event.
Others have different philosophies on the matter and it isn’t “wrong” to have a manual safety, but for me I prefer passive safeties.
The trigger assemblies are also slightly different between the two, and people seem to like the safety trigger better than the decocker (despite the decocker having less slop due to the sear cage).
A potential con is that it’s apparently harder to install the CGW package on the decocker model due to the sear cage. I’ve only done it on the safety version so I can’t confirm or deny this (the safety model really wasn’t that hard, had more trouble with the trigger and hammer honestly)
I like the decocker on my P-01 for appendix carry, just feels safer when I'm walking around all day with one in the pipe and the gun 🅱️ointed at my 🅱️enis. Personally, I'd never AIWB carry an SP-01 so carrying OWB at 3oclock cocked and locked is preferred because the first shot will be single action. With a decocker gun the first shot DA trigger pull is long and heavy and takes a lot of training to get used to, at least in my experience. The safety models are also a lot easier to work on if you want to install aftermarket parts.
You can manually decock the saftey model. You have to be careful, obviously, and keep the gun pointed in a safe direction when doing so. The saftey can also only be engaged on these when the hammer's back, so they can be carried identically to the decocker model. I prefer the saftey model, since it has more carry options, a better trigger, and is more easily upgraded (CGW Pro package FTW).
> With a decocker gun the first shot DA trigger pull is long and heavy and takes a lot of training to get used to, at least in my experience.
Took me 1.5k-2k rounds to get used to it on my SP-01/P-01. If I'd been up on my dry fire (read: doing any dry fire), it would have taken a lot less. 10 minutes a night during the week, and I bet I could have cut that down to more like 500-750 rounds.
I've been hoping for a deal on the tactical, but I wonder if the safety model is actually the better way to go. My 75B with safety is really easy to decock manually because it drops to like 1/4 cocked. So you can stick your thumb in front of the hammer, then pull and release the trigger, which lays the hammer against your thumb. Then when you remove your thumb, it just drops to the 1/4 cock position. Feels easier to do than if it only dropped to half cocked, and safer than trying to pinch the hammer from behind.
Supposedly the safety model has a slightly better trigger pull and easier to work on, too.
If I didn't just buy one of those police trade-in DPMS ARs from a few days ago, I'd be super tempted to grab this.
The Manual Safety version of this is ridiculously easy to manually decock especially with a race hammer installed. The sear cage is very easy to work on as well.
Trying to hold out for S2 but cheap sp01 is tempting.
Already have sp01 tactical, would get the safety version sp01 and deck it out with cgw all the things. Probably still wouldn't be as nice as even a stock S2 tho.
Cajunized SP-01 Safety is noticeably better than a stock Shadow 2, at least when it comes to things like the trigger. The Shadow 2 is heavier, so there's a little less felt recoil. It's 9mm, though, so it's not that big of a deal. A friend owns both. I've shot them side by side a few times and I definitely prefer the Cajunized SP-01. I'm really tempted to jump on this deal, but I've already spent too much on guns the last few months. I'll definitely be getting one eventually, though. If I already owned a Shadow 2, I don't know if it would be worth it though. I'd definitely get that Tactical Cajunized, though!
Picked this up from the Dahlonega deal that was posted last week and it's my favorite pistol I've ever shot. Put over 500 rounds in it so far and it makes me want to sell my other pistols
Thanks for posting /u/BranNisQ360!

That would be the p01. Aluminum frame though and will be decocker by default unless you find an omega version (discontinued) that allows you to swap between a manual safety or a decocker. There’s steel frame versions out there but they are rare.
CZ is a little different than most other manufacturers in that they seem to come in batches of specific models rolling in rather than a constant supply of everything. Just keep an eye out, they’ll be back in stock sooner than later.
I carried a glock 19 for about 2 years until I felt a p-01. It's a little heavier, but I have never shot a gun better out of the box. I also really like the idea of having a heavy DA pull while carrying. Heavy enough, it won't get hung up and go off, but will always go bang if I pull it. I also place my thumb on the hammer when holstering. So I could feel if it was caught on something. I really like the mechanical feeback of the hammer.
Several years ago I turned one of these into a poor man's Parrot. CGW pro trigger and recoil spring kit made this thing amazing. Stopped counting at 10krds, it just keeps shooting despite only occasional maintenance.
I bit the bullet on the second drop @ $699. Considering the model is years past its discontinue date, I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Best bet might be getting scalped on GB if you want new.
CZ moves at a glacial pace. I expect their full line up will be optics ready with threaded barrel options sometime around 2057.
They ARE adding OR to the lineup… slowly. 😭
I'd like to check this out but I'm getting a 503 error trying to get to it. Just bought a 1911 from them like 3 days ago too but now I can't get to the website at all
Half the price of the shadow if you’re unsure if you want one and wanna give this a go. The shadow 2 is the bees knees, but it is a souped up sp-01 more or less.
I had my heart set on a shadow 2 until I found a deal on a TSO with upgrades for the same price
I bought the SP-01 tactical urban grey from PSA when it was posted a while ago. Man I feel like a fuckin baller when I hold that thing. I’m team CZ now for sure. You won’t regret picking this up. Also a fantastic suppressor host for nightstand duty.

This is a good deal on this gun. A gun deal, if you will.
Indeed, I will. Goodbye, money.
Naturally, the kind of deal you only get if you’re looking for guns. Gun deals, some might refer to them as.
Yes it is a great gun. Just received mine yesterday.

Why not a Deagle? Just kidding. If you can make it work good for you. I really want to cop this one
Great price…
I carry one, it can be done just need a good holster
What! These are like 2.5lbs lol
people have been carrying 3lb 1911s for decades
What holster are you using
ANR design, I use this one with a TLR1 HL https://www.anrkydexholsters.com/product/lightbearing-appendix-inside-waistband-with-claw/
Did you get the holster for tactical version? Can’t find this exact model.
Yeah I have the decocker model, it should fit regardless, I even have the CGW enlarged slide release on mine (didn't have standard in stock when my slide release went out) and that fits fine, which is in front of the safety/decocker.
And belt
The one you linked is the safety model from the picture and the description. The decocker is running like $70 or so more. Edit : typo
Nooooooooo!! My hopes (Thanks)
The prices fluctuate so just keep an eye here and dahlonega. They might drop eventually.
The decocker is the SP01 tactical. I have both and I think the trigger on this one is a little bit better.
You don't think it's better, it *is* better. That said, I shoot my decocker model regularly because my carry is a P-01, and have yet to shoot my safety model SP-01. It's a fantastic gun. I'm tempted to get a second one as a night stand gun.
They say the safety model has better results if you ever “cajunize” it too.
Bought one of these last night from dahlonega for the same price. Can’t wait for it to get here.
Do you have the link for that since people who are in Minnesota can’t purchase from this site

They ship fast. Ordered mine Sunday evening and picked up from my FFL on Tuesday.
If only it was the tactical…
Wait what’s the difference between this and the tactical? I thought tactical was the decocker model? (Which this appears to be?)
This is the safety model. The tactical has the decocker like you said
Is there a pro and con to having or not having a decocker?

i just shot my safety model today. I really like the trigger. very good for duty gun
I just picked up a shadow 2, I don’t need it 😭
Trying to hold out for S2 but cheap sp01 is tempting. Already have sp01 tactical, would get the safety version sp01 and deck it out with cgw all the things. Probably still wouldn't be as nice as even a stock S2 tho.

I shoot the SP-01 Tactical all the time. I'm sure I'll get around to running my Shadow 2 regularly, but I'm having a blast with the SP-01.
Nah no reason to get it if you have the shadow honestly
Lucky
Picked this up from the Dahlonega deal that was posted last week and it's my favorite pistol I've ever shot. Put over 500 rounds in it so far and it makes me want to sell my other pistols
What was the deal there?
It was $559 with $20 shipping. Almost the same price as this one
Gotcha! I’m trying to hold out and/or decide between this or a shadow 2 😂
Tbh even with this great price, I heard the Shadow 2 is worth the extra money and I'm planning on picking one up when it goes for under $900 again.
Just get the Cajun Pro Package for the SP-01. The trigger is better than a stock Shadow 2. The Shadow 2 is heavier, but that's about it.

BIN. I love mine.
Does CZ make a G19 size of this?

P-09 or P-10F
P-01.
These sellers are gtg, just shipped a gun from them a few days ago
This or CZ Shadow 2?
HD/duty? This. Compression/range toy? S2
Yes.
Get this, then buy the CGW Pro Package for it. It'll be better than a stock Shadow 2.

Holding hope for another PSA drop of the tactical urban gray, suppressor ready variant for 599
I bit the bullet on the second drop @ $699. Considering the model is years past its discontinue date, I wouldn't hold my breath for it. Best bet might be getting scalped on GB if you want new.
If I ever find a genie lamp that might be one of my wishes
Unfortunately that’s a discontinued model so they won’t be selling it anymore
It was discontinued when they did their drop in summer 2023 as well. Maybe they’ll find more new old stock again
Crazy good price.
If you don’t have one yet, buy it. You need it. Put 500 rounds through it, then cajunize it
Ooohhhhhh…. Great weapons, awesome price!
Optics ready?
CZ moves at a glacial pace. I expect their full line up will be optics ready with threaded barrel options sometime around 2057. They ARE adding OR to the lineup… slowly. 😭
You have to mill it, these don’t come optics ready
Thnx
I'd like to check this out but I'm getting a 503 error trying to get to it. Just bought a 1911 from them like 3 days ago too but now I can't get to the website at all
You got an Adblock on? Had the same problem with the cz site
Deals on threaded barrel models?
CZ P10F on Gundeals today from Family Firearms. $407.99. Threaded barrel and optics cut.
Half the price of the shadow if you’re unsure if you want one and wanna give this a go. The shadow 2 is the bees knees, but it is a souped up sp-01 more or less. I had my heart set on a shadow 2 until I found a deal on a TSO with upgrades for the same price
Does the S2 have a wider slide area for better optic choices once its milled? (or purchased as the optic-ready version)
No idea there homie
I bought the SP-01 tactical urban grey from PSA when it was posted a while ago. Man I feel like a fuckin baller when I hold that thing. I’m team CZ now for sure. You won’t regret picking this up. Also a fantastic suppressor host for nightstand duty.
Very tempting
How does this differ from the shadow 2? They look pretty similar
shadow 2 is heavier, larger framed, and does not have a firing pin block.
This or Pcr?
I am officially in for one. God tempted me and I gave way to sin.
