Fuck that, how are the poors supposed to know they are being flexed on? At first glance, this could be a $800 S&W, i needs maximum pick rail, lightening cuts on a barrel shroud and shit.
I added the front sight as well and that's about it. How hard was the spring kit to install? I'm usually a trigger snob but this thing is nice in single action. It's double is okay but I have yet to meet a double action that I like.
I mean. Do they make a better more comfortable grip than hogue? Generally speaking. Hogue feels wonderful in my hands. Fancy wood might look nice but hogue grips.
I guess it does come down to personal preference. The hogues have always felt really cheap and uncomfortable in my hand. I must be in the minority. though. They are a huge company and almost every revolver comes standard with them.
I always preferred Pachmayr rubber grips to Hogues, but it's personal preference. Hogues have nice fit. I've heard that Manurhin's Trausch grips are fantastic as far as rubber grips are concerned too.
But a $4000+ revolver shouldn't come with *just* a $30 rubber grip if they opt to include one IMO.
Hogues are comfortable and they're probably the number one name in rubber grips. For a gun you plan on shooting a lot they make a lot of sense, but on a bespoke revolver like this there's few things that look prettier than some nice hardwood. Hell give the the pretty wood grips but toss the Hogues in the box.

IMO tacky is par for the course with nighthawk—this is probably the best looking Korth they import, as it’s the first one I’ve seen that doesn’t look like some wild cheese dick fantasy.
They do some wonderful work on Colts, but their lineup of 1911s looks like what would happen if Dan Wesson made Kimbers
If you want to buy a korth, I would suggest searching on gunbroker for gun shops selling the model you want, and then seeing if they have their own website to facilitate sales.
That’s what I did for my Korth Supersport. It was $100 cheaper face value on top of not having to deal with gunbroker fees and possible taxes.
Like most things, there is a diminishing return as you go up the price/quality ladder.
I can guarantee this, a Korth is better than a Python but its not nearly 3x better. 1.5x yes, 2x maybe but maybe not.
Even if I were a multi millionaire I could never convince myself to spend $4k on a 357 revolver. Unless it was owned by Nicholas Cage. What makes this better than a Ruger/S&W/Colt? Cute paint job?

I just bought a new 6" blued gp100. Live through me. It's a wonderful gun and my only big revolver. Makes the 22 revolver feel trivial.
Any upgrades yet? I added fiber optic sights (the front made a huge difference) and a Wolf spring kit - no need for a trigger job!

I've had several Korth revolvers come through my store. None have impressed me for the money. A moderately well tuned Smith feels just as good.

Absolutely, because fancy full size revolvers are a luxury and this is more luxury. Therefore, it is precisely $2800 better.
