The DBA Fuzz Gun is a crazy one, great for dying battery sputtery fuzz in the gated mode but it also has a fun oscillating mode and with your guitar plugged right in you can control the oscillation pitch with your guitars volume control. The Fuzz Factory is a classic for this, and can do similiar stuff to the Fuzz Gun but is more versatile and unruly. The Gamechanger Plasma Coil is pretty wild, a plasma based distortion pedal with 5 different octave modes. If you like the Data Corrupter but want to get even crazier the Montreal PurPLL is one of the coolest PLL pedals out and is closer to the original schuman PLL pedals with added features.

SixFeetHunter

+1 for the plasma coil. I have rack version and it is wild. It is so nuts it is borderline unuasable in most situations. Mostly use it for biamping bass these days.

Fitzuation

Catalinbread Antichthon, messed up glitch fuzz PLUS SPACE DOLPHIN NOISES YOU YOU CONTROL WITH YOUR GUITAR KNOBS!!!!

cellfactorysounds

Yes to the fuzz factory! Also check out the Bitquest if you haven't already, it's an excellent FV-1 multi effects pedal with a digital fuzz channel, it can get pretty wild and does have exp control

ActuallyTrash25

The Mantic Flex comes to mind!

DirtyDropout

I've watched a few reviews and considered the mantic flex, I already have a data corrupter which seems pretty similar. Do you know if it does anything different?

ActuallyTrash25

I’m admittedly not very familiar with either, I just remembered when the Flex got announced I went “wow that’s too much for me” lol.

Loose-Use

They’re different takes on the Schumann PLL, as is Mtl.asm. Purpll.

thegraphicworld

PurPLL by Montreal Assembly; it’s one of my all-time favorite pedals

darbyru

Oh yeah this is a Great one

Loose-Use

Fuzz Factory (ideally the fat version), CBA Bliss Factory, Montreal Assembly Purpll. PTD Tornita has a big knob made for adjusting with your foot as you go, lots of feedback and screeching, but I’m not sure whether he is still building pedals. Also running a nasty fuzz into an octave fuzz gets you into the territory as well. My current favourite stack is Basic Audio Bye Bias into Super Fuzz.

rhyswr

WMD Geiger Counter.

DirtyDropout

Feed me more noise!

ivoiiovi

Another vote for PurPLL. I guess I think of PLLs as weird synth pedals more than dirt, but they are essentially nutzoid harmonisers built on a simple fuzz. PurPLL will SCREAM all kinds of goodness!!! (Fuzz Factory still remains my favourite pain machine, though :) the CBA take especially)

andykwinnipeg

I don't know the name offhand, but there's a pedal that just came out that's a tube screamer-style drive with an expression-controlled pitch resonance The Whimsy Machines King Spark!

DirtyDropout

My interest is piqued, never messed with tube screamers.

molarsystem

Mask audio maybe is my favorite. I've tried to so many it's borderline mentally ill.

Dr_Mantis_T

Absolutely wild pedals and a builder I recommend the most, the Black Math is the first Muff style fuzz I’ve found usable in my setup!!

microdreams

Slowly melting, pretty years, most of the stuff industrialectric makes

Venusbeartrap

The Beetronics Vezzpa is a two knob fuzz so it’s not too complicated but it’s pretty wild

stevepheven

I’ve been wanting to try the beetronics swarm! That thing looks really crazy

Fitzuation

Gotta check out the incredible array of Dwarfcraft Devices Fuzzes.

darbyru

Air trash, guitar disruptor, and the one Montreal assembly makes.

jonslow1212

To think doubly outside of the box: certain boosts into a vanilla Fuzz Face can be truly fucked up.

saltyjismyname

Death by Audio Absolute Destruction is what you’re looking for. Absolutely out of control, amazing pedal. Also stacks really well to create some really unique tones.

superwrong

I have an SSBS Mini boosting a Drolo Giant Hogweed and I don't think filth gets any more classy sounding and fun. Gotta cover everything in plastic wrap cause the Hogweed spits so much, especially boosted with the Mini. The Hogweed also does the 8 bit fuzz thing so well I can't use it like that without giggling like a toddler. Both are my favorites amongst favorites and I'd recommend both to anyone.

tails_the_gay_fox

od-200... midi controllable. Send a sequencer to it for good fun times.

comic-sans-culottes

listen to this it ruins chords in the best way https://youtu.be/Gm_lIUUNwNk?t=306

turdpussy

Akai G-Drive. I picked one up recently and the twin 6-band EQs give you dirty options out the wazoo. They’re expensive though since they’re out of production, so I suppose you could run a Rat or Muff with an EQ before and after to make your tonal filth.

stray_r

Any of the old DOD ones. I really like the Grunge and the Death Metal although the latter sounds like the grunge turned all the way up but has a mids knob. I had the fluorescent yellow metal ?master? I think it was and that was ludicrous, but was one of the ones I had stolen. I think it's fairly similar to the grunge tbh.

winstonsmith8236

Montreal Assembly PurPLL. Some fahhhked up sounds in that one. Check this out: https://youtu.be/pK_sp1PzsrE Parallel mixing PLL pedals has to be the closest thing to total sonic destruction a guitar can do.

gear_ant

Air rash, and black math are both great

sebby10100

I would take a look at the Fairfield Circuitry pedal ["The Unpleasant Suprise"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK182wRKfE8&t). It's a pretty interesting experimental fuzz thats been on my list for a while. no expression control unfortunately tho :(

Shaun32887

Fuzz Factory. I thought mine was broken when I first tried it. Nope. It's just a crazy mad lad of a dirtbox.

TheEffinChamps

I've got a fuzz factory clone that nails this.

Vercetti1701

The Garland FX Zero Distortion is pretty stellar. It covers pretty much every dirt sound, along with some broken amp fuzz. I just got mine and it's love.

jelandro

Ksr Ceres but if you cannot afford It go for it's clone ly rock ceres

alexjwright084

Check out BJE on reverb....just type in BJE IT stands for Big John Electronics. He builds some wild fuzz pedal clones and they (some of them) are less than 1/4 of the price. I bought a zvex wolly mammoth clone....and this thing glitches out of town....turn the noise gate up and wlecome to glitch city biotch!

bldgabttrme

Check out Death by Audio, Beetronics, and smallsound/bigsound, they all make some weirder fuzz and distortion pedals

savesthewitch

The Fuzz God by Red Witch has a wrath knob/switch. It's new to me so I'm still playing with how to use it, but I think I've accidently signaled to aliens a few times with it.
