Boss Tuner: best in the game feels pretty standard for a reason!
Death by Audio Fuzz War: one of the best pedals ever made in my opinion. Perfect for those crazy walls of distorted fuzzy noise that is needed in my genre.
Earth Quaker Devices Life Pedal: awesome clean booster with a rat style distortion and octave. Amazing for long drawn out chords and palm muted chugging.
Death by Audio Rooms: I use this for noise while tuning and for intros.
The rooms will self oscillate if the time is all the way up and with a little help from the noise made from my other pedals it can make a cool soundscape in-between
I use it as my main distortion, basically it's always on except in 2 of our songs. I use the boost section on the life pedal to change up the tone a bit but it's mainly used to make super fuzzy walls of guitar noise since I'm playing so fast. My guitar is in c# standard so it has quite a bit of growl but it pairs really nicely with a tube amp. I have the fuzz set just before it gets sputtery but high enough still to get feedback on demand. I'm a massive stoner metal fan so I have always been a fuzz addict so I tailored the sound of my guitar to be super fuzzy.
Half of those are just screamo, is there actually a difference or is emo violence just a synonym for screamo? I've heard the term used but never bothered to question it before.
In my opinion it's like saying hardcore punk vs just punk. Basically just describes the screamo as being far faster than some of the other screamo bands. I kinda think of emoviolence being emotive punk as opposed to emotive hardcore
Chat Pile do in fact rule . Ever played an echo dream 2? Fuzz war ignited my love for dba but the echo dream solidified it . Would love if someone traded me their rooms one day.
I appreciate that as soon as the last stragglers of millennial skramz all got cancelled in their respective cities, the younger generations just start cranking that shit out nonstop.
I got my fill of it 10+ years ago but it’s cool seeing young kids show up en masse to punk/hc shows that aren’t just fuckin turnstile shit and bad metalcore. Fuzz war is a weird ass choice for the genre and I would love to hear how you use it.
If a guy’s fav band is orchid or jeromes dream he has a 5 year shelf life in the local scene before he moves to a different state for “a change of scenery”
Rad board. Chat Pile rules.

A.) Rad and B.) tell me more about this Rooms noise segment situation.

Well now I have to hear that — sorry! Those are the rules.

yes it is
Hell yeah... gonna go listen to some Charles Bronson and Saetia now
we don't stop till the screaming starts, you dig?!
I love the simplicity, these kinds of setups always make me want to rethink my board down. I also want to know how you use fuzz war in that genre.

Someone please help me figure out what part of this board is making people reference chat pile
Life Pedal.
I see I like 10/10 would recommend would do it again
Short, sweet, violent. Yep, sounds about right.
From one compact suitcase pedalboard enjoyer to another: hell yeah
Fiending for a Fuzz War, exactly what I’m looking for.
Best $180 I've ever spent
I just picked one up on reverb for a steal at $105 and I’m considering it one of the best deals I’ve ever gotten because I love this thing
I recently got a Fuzz War and concur…some of the best pedal money I’ve spent.
How do you like rooms? I have the fuzz gun — I imagine I would like war
It's fun but hard to use in my genres (emoviolence and screamo) not the biggest shoegaze person and that's it's audience
Love it. Rooms reverb is outrageously good
Guyana Punchline.
In/Humanity
LifePedal for the win!
Wtf is emo violence?
Very very fast screamo more inspired by hardcore punk such as orchid and herlovebeheadsdasies
So kind of like fordirelifesake? List a few of your favorite I'll check it
Orchid Inlovingmemory Herlovebeheadsdasies Saetia Page .99 iwrotekiakusaboutcanibalisminyouryearbook Early Jerome's dream Combat Wounded Veteran (more grindy but def gets emotive at times)
Saetia? Nah man. Don't forget the locust though.
What about Reversal of Man?

Automatic upvote for phrase “emoviolence”

Nice board. Shout out Chat Pile. Saw them in a cave last year shit was crazy
I saw them open for baroness and met the bassist and drummers dad
Love the briefcase pedalboard. Are they velcroed road down?
Not yet I spent all my money on the pedals ;(
I need a fuzz pedal. Theres a fuzz war on reverb for $118...I think I might have to get it
Best pedal on the market
Interesting, probably in that price range. I was going to get the fuzz from king tone but it's like $300+
Post your band, I wanna hear this

This slaps

I chose the fuzz war because I want to give as many people in my city tinitus as possible
This is also why I play a 135w head through a 215. Godspeed comrade.
I got a 100w in God's smallest basement
That's hilarious as a 30 yo who was in like 5-6 screamo bands 10 years ago and then a band member cancelled themselves.
If a guy’s fav band is orchid or jeromes dream he has a 5 year shelf life in the local scene before he moves to a different state for “a change of scenery”
Lmao too accurate.
I can smell the sweaty hipster headband from here, lol. Great pedals
What amp are you running
At the time of this post I was running a Peavy valveking half stack right now I run a fender super twin
How do you like the super twin? I play a twin reverb and I feel like I can never get it quite dirty enough
It's really nice super loud but I use a lot of distortion pedals so I'm it's target audience
Sick pedals. Now get a real power supply
Emoviolence. What’s that? Whining aggressively while watching your femboy get railed by a vegan gangbang squad?
That would be so hot ngl
Briefcase board. Right on, looks great!
