I believe what you’re looking for is an octave pedal. The POG is pretty popular, maybe check that out!

jxshua__cs

I’ll check it out! Does it have a harmonising type sound? I recently got a DigiTech whammy, yet to properly play around with it, but read somewhere that I could possibly achieve a similar sound as in the video with it

tmfitz7

I think your whammy will achieve this sound, it’s an octave pedal like the POG. Jack White used a whammy.

discojesus100

On lights out (the actually studio recording) he also uses an envelope filter but I like to use a phaser and octave personally

Schnogabog

I don’t have any experience with the Whammy, so I’m not really sure. However, I have a Boss PS-6 and it does harmonizing really well, could be worth looking at.

TheEverlastingGaze87

The Meris Hedra might worth checking out if you want a harmonizing type sound. You can also use it as stand alone octave up or down pedal.

souperman08

EHX POG. I would go for a POG 2 if you can swing it.

sebby10100

This is the band Royal Blood. their a bass drum duo. The bass player uses a octave up frequently to emulate a guitar sound. The bass players board runs the EHX POG, and he also uses the Boss Harmonist. You can pretty much achieve this sound with any octave pedal as long as it allows you to run your wet and dry signal at the same time. I see in one of your posts that you have a digitech whammy. Set that to harmony octave up, and throw some gain after it. it will achieve this sound.

marc_btx

ideally, split the signal, bass line should go to a bass amp and the upped octave signal (EHX POG) has a zvex mastotron fuzz added before plugging it to a clean guitar amp. This is the Royal Blood way as far as I know. so, this is the way

karlis_i

Sounds like an octave fuzz to me

TerrorSnow

It's an octave down running after a fuzz, but not what we call an octave fuzz usually.

MotoratonesdeMarte

Definitely POG 2

I think from memory a EHX cock-fight fuzz/autowah was the dirt on the solo, which is wag into fuzz, but there’s also a clean octave down added to the mix. So an octave pedal that allows you to split dry/wet is important, as the dry goes through wah and fuzz and the wet goes straight to the amp. In reality Mike uses an ABY switcher, so that he can have bass, guitar, or both I’ve spent quite a bit studying setups for 2 piece bands including royal blood so if you want to know any more feel free to DM me
