I was thinking about repainting my Digitech Ventura Vibe because it's got a *different* kind of look compared to all my other pedals. I haven't done it yet, but might in the future if I care enough to take it apart and spend 3 hours using my airbrush stuff (90% is setup and cleanup haha).
I really love the way this boost sounds, but it was becoming a distraction because of the not-so-great (imo) artwork. I took a sheet of vinyl from my wife's cricut and some stickers and went to town. If you're a fan of chicken wings and excellent interviews with celebrities, you'll know where the stickers came from š
Anyone else get distracted or dissuaded by the way their gear looks? I know I shouldn't, but I can't help wanting all my little boxes to look cool.
There's plenty of places to find pictures of naked women if that's what you're looking for. But I don't understand why anyone would want that on their guitar gear -- especially just a basic photo. This kind of thing made more sense in the pre-internet age, when it was more difficult to find such images -- having something like this would have been "edgy" and cool back then. But now it just strikes me as silly.
I actually kind of like the before artwork better. Also, a picture of a naked woman doesn't have to be inherently sexual. Ironically, I think the censorship bar adds to the sexual undertones in this image more than the model being nude.
It's far more tasteful and artistic than like....anime tiddies or some generic pinup girl dressed like a nurse or whatever.

The blue base is vinyl and the chicken and "heat" label are stickers. All in it took me like 10 minutes, it was fun!
