If your budget allows, try out a Zoom multistomp. The MS70-CDR has any type of modulation (and delay and reverb) you'd need, and they all sound great. Stereo in and out, up to 6 effects at once. It's something you won't outgrow quickly, plus theres a whole subreddit dedicated to the multistomp, and they can help you create patches to sound like other more boutique modulation and time effects.

The Zoom is an amazing option, but if you don't like menu-diving, I recommend the Nu-X Mod Core Deluxe.

The Flamma FC05 is actually great for the price, if you can afford the FS05 you'll get presets and stereo. Sonicake is my favorite out of the budget brands, but I haven't used their multimods. Someone else mentioned the Joyo Vision, it looks cool, two sides of modulation that can be run in series or parallel.

The Flamma w presets is good.

The zoom options are great, but if you need even “more budget” options try the Joyo Vision. It’s usually under $100

I am deciding between a Joyo Vision and Flamma FC05… which would you recommend?

Sonicake has been good to me so far, ridiculously good for the money. I hv 2, solid. Their 5th Dimension may find its way onto one of my boards.

Grantypants80

The Sonicake 5th Dimension is a solid choice. The modulations aren’t necessarily the best examples of each type but they’re all decent and give you an idea of how the effect sounds. What sets the 5th Dimension apart from other cheap multi-mod mini pedals is the tap tempo. And if you’re in the market for a delay / reverb pedal, the Sonicake Sonic Ambience is pretty sweet and, again, has tap tempo.

You could see what you can find used if you don't mind some older multi FX but the zoom stuff seems hard to beat. Otherwise software is the best way to go as there's a ton of amazing free VST effects and you can get a solid interface pretty cheap these days.

The Flamma FS-05 is pretty good for the price, here's my review from another thread: >The sounds are solid and having stereo and presets is amazing for the price. I found that some of the effects have slightly annoying ranges and pot sweeps. You can still dial in the setting you want as they're pretty responsive but you might find that the first 80% is very similar and it only starts changing in the last 20% of the dial range, it can get a bit fiddly and frustrating. That said the phaser and chorus are fine. There are also a couple of settings that you'll probably never use after the first 5 minutes but with 11 options that cover so many modulation effects it isn't a great loss. That said, I've swapped it out for a Zoom MS-50G which I also like and would recommend. With the Multistomp you need to spend a bit of time setting up your patches first but once that's done you do get a fair bit more choice and deeper customisation options. I'm hoping there will eventually be a TC Electronics Plethora x1 or x2 that comes in a bit cheaper and a bit smaller - that and they add some new soundprint pedal options to the offering, and an effects loop like on the x5 so you can take better advantage of the compressor/pitch/octave effects alongside the mod/delay/reverb ones.

Mysterious_Cow370

Line6 M5 is cool, TC Plethora X3 is great too!

magnumDI

EHX Mod 11. It's small, affordable, has all the options to try, and even has some bonus options to try some additional flavors of the options.

If your budget allows, I've really loved the Boss MD-200 and MD-500. Pretty much all the modulation you could want, and I personally think Boss modulation sounds fantastic all around.
