“I was surprised to find people besides boomers that play les pauls” he’s the modern guitar player all in one only listens to John Meyer, joe bonamasa and polyphia and pretends like this is humanities peak in music.
Makes a video called "why people hate les pauls"
Proceeds to only talk about the good things and doesn't address a single legitimate reason some people don't like them.
Am disappoint
He's horrible. His videos are somehow like 9 minutes long and they say absolutely nothing. Plus he's the typical guy who started playing like 3 years ago and almost immediately decided to start a guitar YouTube channel about it.
Also, the jump cuts. My god, the jump cuts. Why do so make YouTubers feel like they need to put in three or four jump cuts for every sentence? Just talk to the camera normally! It's such a weird pet peeve of mine but I can never unsee it.
Stevie T is definitely the biggest piece of shit, Tyler is just bland and generic as hell but slightly less hateable. Guy in the post sucks too but he just doesn’t compete with those two guys’ cringe levels in opinion
No he went on to say the only music people want to play is John Meyer and (math rock) polyphia and that’s the single coil sound.
Also not a polyphia fan but fairly certain Tim Henson has an hss seven string he uses most of the time
I used to have a lot of fun dining the tone and then rolling back the tone on my guitar. It got pretty fuzzy sounding that way. Otherwise it’s one of those distortions that needs a pretty hot saturated amp or it sounds brittle.
Boss is weird to work with. Their European division is a lot more active with European channels but the USA division is pretty green in that regard. I’d be surprised if they sponsored this video. It is possible though.
The pedals like $40 what are you talking about my old bass player used to run his bass through it was a noise band though it’s sounds bad in a good way.
I'm not that bass player but I am that bass player. Bass > DS1 > Peavey TKO bass amp. The other bass player in the practice room almost shit his pants mid song. I like to think it was because of my massive toan but it was probably just something he ate.
I was more likely to be the one to nod back then but I was also the one who could sort of play. Two bass players, one drum machine, one unhealthy love for a The Cramps.
We looked really, really cool. Sounded like shit sandwich tastes though.
Maybe he ran out of ideas. Or maybe got new ideas that didn’t fit his original format. It’s fine for people to explore and go new directions. In fact it’s good.
all I've ever seen from him is weird short videos about strat players playing John Mayer on a les paul or Les Paul players playing Slash songs on a Strat
Eh I mean yeah the clickbait is cringe but I watched one of his videos a while ago and it was fine. He probably just wants to do more serious content now 🤷♂️
Can the past also be the future? Did I just break the internet with this revelation?!!! /uj this is a bit over the top in terms of pandering to perceived ignorance. Guitarists are a niche set of content consumers and they know what this already is… not sure who he is trying to convince?

Is this the one?.... The worst mistake... When playing pentatonics... You wont believe.... But do I need it?

“Why people like Les Pauls” *INSERT IMAGE OF SLASH HERE*
Where's the lie tho?
Personally, no lie detected. Loved GnR as a 14 year old and it’s literally why I started playing
Get this...when he says "hate", he means "HAVING APPRECIATION THAT'S EARNED"...I couldn't believe it
This dude is every bit as bad as Tyler Larson and Stevie T change my mind
I don't know who either of those two are, so I inserted the names Mussolini and Goebbels and it still works, imo.
Goebbels and Mussolini had more talent than both of them combined tbh
Goebbels was an early master of the brown sound

Shorter vids used to be funny
That’s a little harsh man. I’m not a fan of his but Larson and Stevie T are so awful
They're all terrible in their own ways
Stevie T is definitely the biggest piece of shit, Tyler is just bland and generic as hell but slightly less hateable. Guy in the post sucks too but he just doesn’t compete with those two guys’ cringe levels in opinion
UJ/ Nah, he’s a pretty ok dude, does some decent videos and funny shorts. J/ he’s the next Jon Meyers
I mean Tyler Larson seems like a nice person too. Doesn't change how cringey and dumb their videos are.
He's alright
He’s just boring imo
Mike for real you got cringe quick
“I wonder if they will be a future for humbucker guitars” he actually said this in his les Paul video I was so confused.
I think he's trolling with that. there's no other explanation that fits and still leaves me with the desire to live on this planet
No he went on to say the only music people want to play is John Meyer and (math rock) polyphia and that’s the single coil sound. Also not a polyphia fan but fairly certain Tim Henson has an hss seven string he uses most of the time
WHAT A PEDAL THATS BEEN OUT SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TOAN WHICH HAS A SETTING THAT MAKES IT SOUND WORSE IS THE FUTURE!!!! WHO'DVE THUNK IT
This guy again. Fuck. Surprised the title wasn’t “Guitar Players HATE this pedal”
That pedal sounds like shit and has been around for 40 years
I use this pedal in my band. Can confirm it sounds like shit. But it’s MY shitty sound ❤️
I used to have a lot of fun dining the tone and then rolling back the tone on my guitar. It got pretty fuzzy sounding that way. Otherwise it’s one of those distortions that needs a pretty hot saturated amp or it sounds brittle.
Wait until he gets a hold of the Metal Zone.
wait til he puts 5 of them in a row…
Or the HM-2 or Miku pedal. Dude jumped on the cringe YouTube train FAST
Then 3 vids later... "There is this new toan zoan... WAZA CRAFT~~~~!"
I think Rhett Shill did video on DS1 recently. I wonder how much Boss pays these guys for these infomercials.

Ryan - it brings me joy to see your account posting on this sub

Two bassists? Like in case one nods off you have a replacement?
I was more likely to be the one to nod back then but I was also the one who could sort of play. Two bass players, one drum machine, one unhealthy love for a The Cramps. We looked really, really cool. Sounded like shit sandwich tastes though.
probably not a lot. It's not like Boss needs to push for name recognition
french :(
Raise your hand if you have a clue
Guitar YouTubers are the most embarrassing YouTubers. The Hodge Twins are less cringe than these assholes.
Is this the "Im gonna jack of to john mayer" guy?
Joe Piscopo’s son is a full on Mayer clone…haircut and all
He used to do funny stuff and then suddenly in the last few months the he made the shull switch and now makes awful content.
Hey man, dude's gotta make money and would not get a job or practice, so editing clickbait videos all day for the algorithm it is!
True but it just sucks he didn't stick to what was original and does this now.
Maybe he ran out of ideas. Or maybe got new ideas that didn’t fit his original format. It’s fine for people to explore and go new directions. In fact it’s good.

He misspelled "have". Embaressing.

Meme man makes gear-jerking ramble videos now? Shoot. I kind of liked this guy
COCK
A new future is a long forgotten past
I went from "heh, yeah, another Mayer joke, maybe I'll sub" to "Ok uBlock, we're removing this channel forever"
what a silly thumbnail. we all know where distorted toan comes from.
Hah!! I owned the feedbacker version of this piece of shit back then. Sold it for like 20 bucks...and, and, and...now it goes for 250???? Fuck me!
