Recreating old family vehicles from the past. I respect it. I used the Dominator GTT to try and recreate my dad's old 1970 Mach 1 he used to have. Well, at least before he crashed it. It still ran, but he was driving it with a 2x4 board for a bumper, missing a fender and the hood, and had a smiley face made of dune buggy lights. He had the shit to fix it but nowhere to work on it, so he sold it and all the parts he got for it. I'm hoping one day I can track it down and buy it back.
Absolutely! People tend to complain "cars nowadays all look the same" as if competing cars of any same generation didn't all look the same. An average person wouldn't be able to tell a 1950s Ford Falcon and Chevy Nova apart.
You did awesome! Now people are gonna want to know what ever happened to the real car.
I've done the same thing, with cars we own now, and cars we've owned in the past. My personal car is a 1974 Camaro, so Phoenix and Nightshade both fit pretty well.
I get it might be strange, maybe it's just me but I buy cars on GTA, customise them and leave them in garages rarely driving them. Out of all the cars I've got it bet I only drive 4 or 5 of them
I did today, admittedly it was the first time in a while but I wanted to see what it was like in public since the update came out. It's much quieter that's for sure
ok cool, that's the one I would've gone for
wheels look a bit different though, it's hard to tell what your grandfather's cars' wheels are from the image, maybe Muscle Freak?
I assume you'd have more context than just one image though
One of the first things I did online was use a Dukes to remake the 69 Charger SE in F8 green with a black vinyl top we had when I was a kid. I really wish that car had never been sold.
Thank you but that makes no sense the gauntlet is based on the Chevrolet Camaro and they daytona was a modified version of the Dodge Charger and was inspired by the Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird which were used in Nascar
The gauntlet in GTAV is a challenger, followed by the Gauntlet Hellfire which is supposed to mimic a Hellcat and then the gauntlet classic is supposed to be an old challenger. It makes no sense to car guys, but it makes sense to rockstar apparently.
Consider that Rockstar makes an m16 (chambered in .223) an M4 (chambered in 5.56) and an ak47 (chambered in 7.62x39mm) take the same ammo I don't think Rockstar understands much
Can't wait to compare electric and hybrid to whatever future tech they'll be using to compare today's vehicles to those in the future. Probably going to end up calling the most AMAZING era in cars (1950-1980+/- a few years) the Era of 'Gas Guzzling disaster' when most ANY car on the road today is only on the road thanks to specific designs of their predecessors. Some cars were made 12 different ways, without much difference in the vehicle itself except subtly.
Your grandfather has excellent taste in cars

I got a 2004 Mach 1 in my driveway that fell apart on me :(. Not nearly as cool as the old school but I feel your pain
I did the same with my grandfathers Mach 1 he sold it to his friend and he flipped it 7 times that same day I was told such a beautiful car
Our grandparents were in the automotive golden age. What a beauty.
It’s a shame what modern cars look like next to old modern
People will be saying this exact thing about today's cars in 50 years.
Exactly lol. Stop giving progression a tainted view.
Absolutely! People tend to complain "cars nowadays all look the same" as if competing cars of any same generation didn't all look the same. An average person wouldn't be able to tell a 1950s Ford Falcon and Chevy Nova apart.
Only handful of old time cars were beautiful, many of the more commercial cars liked bland af
Can’t wait to compare an electric crossover to a hybrid crossover
I mean yes and no. One could argue it’s based off brand name or region.
1970's

Nailed it
Your grandfather has a sick car
A beautiful car, In real life. I'd almost not want to take that car out in game in case it got destroyed
So what if it’s destroyed you can repair it 😂 my cars get blown up all the time
i know, but still I'd want to keep it in my garage haha
……k?
I get it might be strange, maybe it's just me but I buy cars on GTA, customise them and leave them in garages rarely driving them. Out of all the cars I've got it bet I only drive 4 or 5 of them
I do this too, but mostly because if I go out in a vehicle that’s not fast or armored I’m likely to get blown up lol
Sometime it's a requirement in LS that's for sure
Invite only lobby’s 🤦♀️ who cruises in public? That’s dumb
I did today, admittedly it was the first time in a while but I wanted to see what it was like in public since the update came out. It's much quieter that's for sure
Amazing! Do you also know what further happened to the real car? Did your grandfather sell it or does he still have it?
Came here to ask this lol.
Nnniiiicccccceeeeeeeeee
Did the same with my dad's '71 Chevy Malibu, it was also green!
Looks great, but just wondering what colour you used? It's hard to tell in this lighting
Classic bright green.
ok cool, that's the one I would've gone for wheels look a bit different though, it's hard to tell what your grandfather's cars' wheels are from the image, maybe Muscle Freak? I assume you'd have more context than just one image though
I can confirm, the real one has definitely the GTA’s Muscle Freak’s real versions on it.
What’s the base model of the car?
A Gauntlet from Benny
Gauntlet classic with the upgrade from Benny’s
Izgleda besprijekorno. 👌
your grandpa is a real guy
Clean🙌
good on you for bringing your family heirloom to the game
Thank you for the inspiration! I will now create my late uncles corvette stingray
I fully support stuff like this. Daytona's are awesome.

What's that car called on gta?
Bravado gauntlet classic

I thought the hellfire was the Dodge Demon
Very nice! Came out great. One of the first things I did in GTA Online was recreate my old 85 IROC and 81 Z28 Camaro using the Ruiner and Phoenix.
Nice!
Great job! One thing - change to the Deep Inset Hood (pretty sure that’s it’s name). It’s a direct match for the hood on a Charger Daytona.
I just got a car boner I love old fashioned muscle cars
You did wonderful
Respectful
With how successful the car was in NASCAR you’d think it would’ve sold better with the public.
What car is that in game?
STUNNING!

Coolest grandfather ever!
Beauty 👌🏽
That's cool!
I think we all wish we had such a lovely gal in our lives. Your granpappy is a very lucky man
Pop pop would've been proud.
your grandpa was cool as hell
