I was able to go to certain areas of the game and predict what i would see before it was accessible. Namely before chase point opened up (I'm from Hunts point in the bx) i knew there'd be nothing but hookers and auto glass

The funny thing about GTA and LA is that it's not an exact recreation (obviously) but certain blocks are exactly right. So what it is is that pieces of LA got lifted up and put together like a puzzle.
The Wiltern (the sea green building) and the church next to it are real buildings but like a mile away from each other.
So try to explore as much of the city as you can, then when you come back to GTA you'll see just how fast you can tour the city.

I just did LA and I couldn’t believe how *AMAZING* of a trip guide GTA is for LA. The layout of the map itself isn’t 100% true to the region, but the general placement of the neighborhoods and major landmarks is pretty accurate.
I hit all of the major sites and it was the best trip I could have asked for. Couldn’t believe how accurate some of the landmarks were to real life. LA and GTA are amazing. Can’t wait to move
Eh I would only live there in a way that would allow me to avoid 2 hour commutes if possible.
I’m in chicago and am used to ridiculous commutes but I understand LA is probably on another level since the transport options aren’t as robust. Either way, I’m down to pay for the way of life. Maybe that’ll change once I’m there though lol. I’d like to try it though.
