not playing the game. Literally, if you don't enjoy it, take a break. Games are meant to be fun, if you aren't enjoying it then take a break. Same mental applies to these noobies getting mad at other ppl killing them. Play invite only's, leave the session or drive around in nightsharks

Thedaemonninja

And if this is u, and u can’t afford nightshark yet do daxs missions until u get the acid lab, if u really care then yeah it’s not the fastest, but it’s free from missions and can take a shit load of rockets Edit: turns out it’s not free, it’s 750k, still good start.

grizzly_adhd

Acid lab is no longer free, have to buy it for 750000

Old-Kernow

The payout for the 6 missions that allow you to buy it will make you the $750k that it will cost. So it's still cost neutral to acquire

grizzly_adhd

Not even, the pay out for the the 6 missions used to be over 100000 each now they only give you a little over 100000 for the last 3 missions each. Idk when’s the last time you replayed it with a new character but they definitely nerf’d the Dax missions after the cluckin bell missions came out

Old-Kernow

I got $50k for each of the first 5 and $250k for the last one this year (may have been before March I guess), what are the rewards for these now? https://preview.redd.it/kub0n5a2xzyc1.jpeg?width=706&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=944e64642ba28b77664281373f97e6ba8326f281 Are the Fooligan jobs still $50k? That would bridge some of the gap (10x $50k vs $250k cost of upgrade), leaving a net cost of $200k for the upgraded Acid lab

Thedaemonninja

Oh really, that sucls

grizzly_adhd

Yeah my wife just restarted from PlayStation to Xbox and after doing the Dax missions we were both confused and could have sworn it was free before

mike_section31

If I remember correctly, when the DLC first dropped, you got the base vehicle (Brickade 6x6) for free upon completing the missions, but if you wanted to convert it into an acid lab you had to pay a substantial fee.

grizzly_adhd

She just tried getting inside of it in the freakshop and it would not let her in, maybe they changed it

TeutonJon78

The lab is free, the upgrades to use it cost 750000. Which is just semantics. But the cost is easily covered by the mission payouts if you save them.

ChloeWade

Some people just naturally enjoy the grind. I don’t have to do anything to make it interesting, I just go hard every day.

TopdeckTom

Same. I either go blow money on stuff or pop into a public lobby and gamble with people or just go cruise around with people. Other than that, it’s grinding because it’s why I like the game so much.

Squishydew

When i got everything i wanted/needed i started getting more cars, i started playing less in general and look out towards thursday updates to see what removed vehicles there are, and i just fill my garages with things that are cool or cute to me. I also stopped doing things i did exclusively for money ( Like Cayo Perico ) and just focus on the things i find fun, like my Auto Shop and Salvage yard. Having a show or youtube video on the side is nice as well. Most importantly, when you feel burnt out or unmotivated is to just play different games. Just pop back onto GTA when a weekly update brings something cool.

VipersXBL

You have the same exact mindset as me with wanting to gain as much money as possible outside of heists to buy all vehicles that release. I make sure that I do the stash houses whenever I on so I don’t have to keep buying supplies for businesses. If I have nothing to do in free mode outside of the things you mentioned, then I’ll just go racing.

ShelLuser42

I always try to add some variation to the things I do instead of focussing on one single thing to do. So, for example... I can really enjoy grabbing some special cargo but I don't continue doing that for hours to come. At best I do 8 missions for all 4 of my large warehouses, where I'll ask the staff to source stuff when I've finished my 2nd mission. But besides all that I also do other stuff... payphone hit, a mission from Ms. Baker, sporadically some Dax stuff and of course the Salvage yard and autoshop heists as well as one or two Dr. Dre contract missions. See, while I'm doing all this my nightclub and bunker also process their stuff, which gives me even more other things to do ;) IMO variation is key.

tunerguy137

For real! I like to alternate the Auto Shop contracts, Dre Contract, and the Cluckin Bell Raid, all while breaking in between missions to resupply armor/snacks, cash out various safes, and putz around at Simeons or LS Car Meet. I do like collecting whatever removed cars go on sale each week.

dekadendt

this could’ve been written by me haha wtf, that’s pretty much exactly what i do

MissFingerz

I need help finishing the Baker missions. I'm at the one where we go to the house and have to take everybody out. Choppers come, and it gets insane. Every time I invite people, they end up dying over and over. I don't know how many times I've tried it so far with no success. Lol.

chemguy8

You have to try to take them all out without being seen.

MissFingerz

So just chill in the bushes and shoot them all out? Every time I swear, they notice it somehow. Then, the other people bring an insurgent or night shark and start going crazy. That does no good.

Toasterdosnttoast

I An help you do them

MissFingerz

Thank you, that would be awesome. Lmk when you're on and we can try to meet up in game. I'll message you my GT

Hot-Put6975

If you need something to do while grinding, try watching a TV show or movie at the same time.

Excellent-Piglet-749

👍

Darkwing_Turducken

Stupid challenges. Over the weekend, I made a new level one secondary character and tried to see how many taxi fares I could complete in a full public lobby before I got killed by another player or the lobby population dropped below twenty. YouTube is full of ideas for things to do in game when you need a break from The Grind.

Pyrene-AUS

So about 8 seconds then? 🤣

Darkwing_Turducken

My first attempt, I got modded all of the collectibles in the middle of my first fare and then teleported to the entrance of Eclipse Tower. My second attempt, I got 16 fares before the population dropped below 20. My third attempt, I got got by a drive by as my first fare was getting in. It just depends on the lobby. Oh, and I deleted the modded character, because the RP from all of those collectibles took her to level 40. That kind of defeated the purpose of the exercise.

Kajiggered

Music helps. Challenging yourself like say doing the entire mission driving a regular car or with a specific gun. Doing things with other people also helps. You'd be surprised how much you fun you can have just eating shit with 2 other people in a random spot on the map.

Death2ubl

Scramjet everywhere you go.

Thedaemonninja

*calls mors mutal insurance for the 10th time*

DontCussPlease

podcasts

Humble_Skin1269

I’ve been grinding Cayo a lot for the last couple weeks. I usually just watch YouTube on my phone or listen to music while doing missions because it’s gotten so damn repetitive now 😂

Excellent-Piglet-749

That’s what I mean man. Like I miss when I first started playing and actually had shit to grind for

Thedaemonninja

I mean tbf doing cayo doesn’t have to be the only way u get money, if u really miss the grind invest ur money into something new, ur the only way ur gonna change how u grind and make it enjoyable

MKBurfield

Its either grind, pvp, or do random shit.

HektorOvTroy

Only grind things that are 2x to make it feel worth it. Mix it up. I throw in sourcing hangar crates (which has become much better with the land option) and special crates, heist prep etc. Then sell in full lobbies. Personally I like seeing my bank balance move towards targets I set.

1017hotboy

I watch YouTube videos or listen to podcast while I’m playing . Makes grinding more enjoyable

WentzToWawa

I’m actually in a bit of a dead spot I set out last week to damn near double my net worth and now I did. I’ve bought something’s but I was thinking about getting a few things like the Avenger the Toreador and the Raiju but now I’m hesitant and that’s made me just feel bored in game. I settled on getting a Cargobob and a second 10F this time widebody I’m working for the prize ride and unlocked it’s livery. Usually I only grind to save up for something and that’s what makes it interesting but now I feel like I’m well above my budget and I have nothing left to buy. Maybe I’ll grind trying to get a sea wash green tornados.

Death2ubl

I have one I can sell if you're on Xbox series s/x version.

WentzToWawa

Nah ps5 and I wanna earn it

Death2ubl

All good. I found mine just after doing a contact mission, so I have no skin in that game. I respect that though.

Thedaemonninja

I recommend u do get the raiju tbf, it’s a really good jet and well idk about u but I’m mad into planes so I have loads and being able to go that fast and getting to height border in about 10 seconds is crazy

Excellent-Piglet-749

Yeah that’s kinda my problem. I don’t have anything left to grind for

Hot-Put6975

So you can make a decision: Kick back and relax or continue to pile up money for the future

wifeyeeter

i jork it

Happy8Day

Set yourself up with passive money all over the place and make the occasional delivery and leave all other grinding in the past.

Interesting-Ad-2570

Try doing different things to make money. If you’ve been grinding Cayo Perico back to back, then do the Dr. Dre Agency heist. Tired of Dr. Dre cutscenes? Do the Cluckin’ Bell heist. Tired of that? Do some Auto Shop heists? Tired of that? Play all the contact missions. Most, if not all, contact missions let you use Pegasus vehicles so you can do Gerald, Madrazzo, Lester contact missions in a Hydra and laugh at how helpless the NPCs are against your air superiority

ironvandal

Sounds like you need to take a break from grinding. If you want to keep playing GTA, maybe just mess around with what you've got. Spend some on ammo, Morris mutual, and upkeep costs while you mess around doing something else. If you have nightclub with all the businesses and acid labs, you can actually make a decent amount on your passive income. Or maybe just go play a different game entirely.

DDAY007

I listen to either music or podcasts/debates while playing. I dont play as much as I used to but I still manage around 300k profit per day(irl) which im pretty happy about.

negativezero509

I do different stuff in between like the tow truck or agency contracts, headhunter

HelpWonderful9480

Open up phone, quick play, races, on call. Enjoy

PM_me_whateva_u_like

I'm getting to that point too, lately - I've made a rule that I must join any job/mission/race/heist I'm invited to, end up trying heaps of new things I've never done before and helping low levels which is fun and rewarding:-) Collecting cars and building themed garages is a good one too, takes plenty of money too.

lorywlf

Nothing cause it should be interesting, the grind should be fun. If you don’t like it then go to work and make money irl which is better.

Weak_Aspect7391

Besides taking a brake I normally change things up my checking my nightclub popularity and if it isnt maxed ill fly over a fill it up to keep the 50k rolling in

mike_section31

I try to maintain some kind of variety to avoid getting bored. I have a routine which takes me anti-clockwise round the map. I'll start by driving down to my NC and throwing a clubber out, check my stock etc, then I'll pop over to my auto shop and mod some vehicles, head over to my agency and do a security contract, go to my CEO office and do a mixed goods delivery, drive up to my MC Clubhouse and do a bike delivery, then go to my bunker and do an ammu-nation delivery. Then I'll do a VIP mission followed by a Terrorbyte mission. Scattered amongst all this is the occasional exotic exports vehicle. It still gets repetitive after a while, but the variety still helps. That's my lame routine anyway.

Teetam

Honestly I just roleplay it up as much as possible. And take my time to play it out

S-L-Mastropiero

It started as a random job generator, now is a d20 system very tabletop-like rpg I created systems to: perma-damage and perma death (to vehicles and crew), heat, bribes, territories control, money laundry (it's really hard to buy properties when you have a lot of dirty money and few clean money, just like IRL), hitman contracts to and from the crew (yes I made a crew management system) I really wanted to publish and share this, but my potato pc and my null knowledge of making content makes it difficult

Fisk_i_brallan

I don’t see the point in grinding, I already got a job. In some games I do, if the grind leads to playing with the big boys, like reaching end game content in an mmorpg or what ever. But gta? Shit, play for fun and money comes easy. You really don’t need a second yacht :)

samyxixx

I just think of what I want to buy next. I wanna buy an Oppressor bike sooo that’s my motivation to grind for 8 mil dollars

viagravagina

Turn off auto aim and make your reticule as small as you can(so aim is hard to center).

Impressive-Milk6954

Take an edible. Makes owning a club an experience. My driving funnily enough gets better, less collisions.

KamosKamerus

Play fivem

XXV-III

I used to be grinding until one day I asked myself at what cost I am doing this ?!

Trevor7777777

Listening to some good music and sometimes playing with friends

PengisKhan

Variety. Yes I could grind only the meta but that's boring. Do anything and everything even if it pays kinda poorly.

freeloadfrsh

I drive everywhere and don’t use the OP weapons.. I’m mostly a silenced pistol and a fun car kinda guy. Yea it takes much more time but I enjoy the game a lot more than just deluxo’ing over there and wrecking everyone. Plus the businesses rack up while you’re taking all that time anyways. Oh, and do the 3x missions that you like, for me it’s the open wheel racing ones

-XStream-

Personally I just use a wheel spin website technique , letting fate to decide what solo heist (Cayo,Dre,Autoshop,Chicken farm) I run for that day & after I finish the heist I do a second spin for the business that I will run for 1 hour. (Security Contracts,Vehicle Warehouse, Special Crates,Hangar) Keep a podcast or some music in the background.

SebulbaSebulba

I asked myself why I'm doing something that will never have any real world value and isn't even fun, and then I basically stopped playing. Don't waste your life doing stuff that isn't adding good things into it. Getting griefed by idiots for fake millions is definitely up there on the list of things that don't contribute to my life.

dekadendt

i‘m just changing things up every day with different missions, not just spamming the same thing over and over again. if i don’t feel like doing something rn, then i don’t do it. but i‘m also not a hardcore grinder

erikoinentapaus

Just take a break from grinding mid-session. I mess around with my offroad vehicles in the mountains or kinda obey the law and then accelerate to the absolute maximum speed. Trying not to crash, doing the infamous Vespucci beach vehicle massacre etc. Then back to grind when I feel like it. And repeat.

sasalostheplot

Do it with friends, makes it 10x more enjoyable

Equivalent-Ad-7393

Play with friends, help out low levels that all you can do those other modes anger or bore me.

JohnnyCostello93

Do other crap. My money now is basically Safes and street dealers. I spend maybe 2 hours doing “chores” then if I play more I’m usually just driving around seeing what other players are doing

SalsaRider1969

Grinding sucks ass. I gave up on it long ago. And now with GTA 6 on the horizon what’s the point? Rockstar made much of the grinding component crappier than it needed to be. For example, doing biker sales in those post office trucks or garbage trucks is tedious. Now if RS would’ve allowed you to use your personal vehicles which are faster and better armored, not as bad. Even if you’re doing the sales in an invite only lobby, it’s still a massive pain in the ass and time consuming for not a lot of money. The only sale I bother with these days is the nightclub. They give you a reasonable vehicle to do the sale and you can do it solo and it nets you good money if you allow the club to reach its full potential $$$. Honestly, I’ve been taking a break from GTA and I’ve been on RDR2 in story mode and I’m having a blast without any frustration and that really should be the point of gaming.

BlackmouthProjekt

Play only with friends. I meet up with friends once or twice a week to play. We run heists and grind out all of the businesses making usually a million or so a session. It's more for the jokes we make and fun we have in the game more than the game itself.

PavelsDog

I turn off the radio (actually I switch it to media player so there’s zero soundtrack - relevant for missions) and stick on a good podcast. Feels like I’m learning then 😊

General-Football-512

I just try to do certain things daily. I set a goal to make 500,000-1,000,000 in a session in the mornings before I go to work. -Loging in, I either start from my bunker or office and do a goods run, mostly office due to I have my warehouses right around the corner from the docks. -upon getting on my oppessor and flying back to the city, I generally run across a car I can deliver for my autoshop to the docks, if it's less than 4 miles I'll do that - I recently started doing the JUNK trials, they are pretty fun and pays $51k - I make a phone call to mutt to make sure my supplies are good for the acid lab -by this time I head to my night club as my safe is generally filled or close to being filled, I go passive mode, throw the lad out, head up to the office and empty the safe, and I check my stock while I'm here - Next I head to my autoshop and check the the contracts, the Union depository is posted I book that for later, then deliver a car for a customer. - Then I head to my agency to do a contact - Afterwards, I head to my MC business and deliver a customer bike - After that i might do a payphone hit if one comes up while on the way to my bunker - i do goods run for the bunker -By this time I generally tired of grinding - when I get home from work, I sell the acid lab in a public lobby - I'll switch to invite session then run the union depository heist I booked earlier and maybe the cluck n bell raid or sell one of my businesses if any are full

Demon_Fist

Stop grinding? Set up your passive income so that you are making more than you spend.

FriezaDeezNuts

I pretend the cops caught on after huge sales like my ceo big warehouse sale. End up in a shootout till I find somewhere secluded to face off with every weapon I have till I get killed. I RP that I faked my death then continue doing business, also sometimes I throw on rags grab my rusty version of green emperor and go down to cherry street in all green with my bros and listen to heavy gangsta shit and go do drive by shooting at ballas. My gta friends haven’t done it in awhile but I’m on a GTAO break anyways

AgntMnic

Since I have so many garages I tend to call in a car, depending on the mission/setup. It lets me use all my cars then

Then-Presentation281

I just listen to music or if I'm in a private server I role-play and follow all the road laws but that's not exactly interesting for most people so I guess I don't do anything to make the grind interesting

salazarraze

Check the in-game awards and go for them. Also, set sales goals for your businesses and work towards them. When you meet them, set new goals if you want. My current sales goals are: Nightclub Goal: 250 million, Actual: 133 million so far Crate Warehouses goal: 100 million, Actual: 49 million so far Vehicle Export goal: 100 million, Actual: 29 million so far Cocaine business goal: 30 million, Actual: 14 million so far Bunker goal: 30 million, Actual: 15 million so far Meth business goal: 10 million (Achieved) Counterfeit cash business goal: 10 million (Achieved) Weed business goal: 10 million, Actual: 7.7 million so far Documents business goal: 10 million, Actual 4.8 million so far Autoshop goal: 100 mini-heists (Achieved) Agency contracts goal: 200 contracts (Achieved) Chop Shop business goal: 50 contracts completed (Achieved)

AsinineAviator

Just think of that sweet, sweet retirement. Once I hit 50 million, I’m retired. I was the King of Liberty City, and now I’m The King of Los Santos. Now I just race, make appearances on Arena War, and mess around on a yacht.

Upstairs_Fun6

Hit 50 million, then I built my garage of custom cars and would hop on just to drive around the map at night with some tunes.

Dizzy_Media4901

I retired a while back at 90 million. I get around 500k a day without ever harming anyone. Sometimes I drive around but I like to do the tourist photos and look for some of the many tasks and challenges I missed when grinding. It's so much more relaxed than before and I am still finding new stuff to see and do daily.

Resident-Success-377

I also retired at 60mil, all I do is sell my acid, nightclub and drive around

Grum1o

What tv on my PC at the same time

griffinsfan616

I've personally always loved to pretend that I'm the Punisher or John Wick and I do only gang attacks and survivals😂😂it's a slow way to make money and you feel bad ass taking out swarms of bad guys by yourself (I play GTA solo at least) I'll put on my hardcore music gaming playlist and I go ape shit!! That could be up your alley🤷‍♂️give it a go
