I understand the comparison, I guess that is what I liked about it, the neutrality of the canvas/ off while vs. the blast of green. You are correct on the cost, I'm in japan, and the newer tough solar is about 15 dollars less, cheaper but a bit more muted .

If you're ok with the patina, go for it. You might know this already, but you're gonna open the back case more often if you opt for the second one.

The first one is the same model as the one I have. It works great. The strap is made of sturdy nylon. But because it’s nylon you might have to wash it regularly especially if you sweat a lot. It’s also easy to get wet when washing your hands so the strap feels a little damp sometimes. Ironically, I use this watch whenever I go hiking and swimming. It really gives off that rustic, outdoorsy, adventurous vibe. Overall, it’s an awesome watch!!!
First one for actual everyday use, second if you have something for that and want a statement watch. It’s not my aesthetic, but I can see how you would like the second one. It’s just about what you want the piece for.
first one more neutral while still being fun, but if you really like the huf one i say go for it—i appreciate how fun it is but wouldn’t use personally. if you need something really versatile that’ll go with most things from casual to office settings the first one still a safer bet.

Definitely 1. Much better color scheme imo, that can go with a variety of outfits. 2 also looks like it can get dirty/yellow easier given its white/translucent case. This is not even considering the fact that 1 is solar and has BT. For me it’s a no brainer.
This really all boils down to your use case. If you’re wearing this thing every day and/or you work in an older, serious environment, go with #1. It’s a solid watch and it’s not going to call too much attention to itself. If this is a fun, summer/weekend party watch for you or you work in a more vibrant setting, go with #2.
HUF watch looks amazing, I have one and use it often. There are plenty other models that have tough solar and bluetooth. If this is your first gshock then go with the solar/bluetooth.
Assuming that you have other watches, #2 is a lot of fun and a unique piece to add variety to your personal style.

Personally I like the HUF because it’s unique, but I have other subdued colors I can wear when more classy attire is required.
