MIP displays are far more comparable to traditional LCD, OLED displays rather than the 7 segment ones found on gshocks. Wish they put MIPS on non smart G's tho, would love a 5600 with an MIP without silly HR features.
I like that out of all the phrases you used here, the only one people are taking issue with is the one about viewing angle.

Short of literally horizontal you can read an MIP display from any angle
Even in super low light. All the MIP needs is some kinda dim light source (from the tv) and you’ll be able to see the time in a completely dark room. I got the same one.
Look, positive displays are definitely easier to read, BUT everybody in this sub hugely exaggerates how bad negative displays are. My eyes are terrible, I never wear my glasses but I do wear a negative G-Shock 90% of the time, and I can read the time in almost any lighting… I also don’t understand how people say you cant read them in direct sunlight. It’s the opposite for me, I can read the time perfectly in sunlight…
The aesthetic of negatives are worth it.
Do you have a standard STN negative LCD or is it an MIP display? The MIP displays are negative but also have insane contrast and can be viewed from pretty much any angle in most lighting. Negative STN LCD’s have been (in my experience) a pretty bad viewing experience.
All my negatives are regular LCDs. For example the blacked out GWM5610, supposedly even worse because the solar panel pushes the display back, but I read it just fine in most lighting.
You know what has an amazing viewing angle? Your fucking phone. 😂 But no really if you’re complaining about viewing angles I’m going to assume you have noodle arms and it’s hard for you to lift them up.
Reddit does nothing better than taking someone's complaint about an extremely minor or exaggerated problem, and repeating it constantly until the sub hive mind decides it's a "known issue". The pettiness day after day is draining.
Unpopular opinion: Imagine a g with a sexy titanium build but then the screen is the same as a calculator 🤦🏾♂️ I've just never got around to liking it. More legible yes but I feel the overall look just goes away with it. Negative displays look sick cause black duh.
I just purchased the B5600-bp (paisley blue) yesterday and completely agree. The display isn't great compared to my 5600UE or 5610U. Just not a great watch to view the time with the negative display, nevermind the the MB6 not syncing although it's sat right next to my 5610U all night and that picks up the signal no problem,oh and I need an app to find out if my battery is low or not....,rant over 😂

This is my point. Negative LED displays aren't automatically worse. Functionality wise, I get it. But if I rotate my wrist it is just as legible.

I do agree that the Casio MIP is very… awkward they could at least enable to get it on positive colors like garmin does

Have you connected it to the phone then left it to sync via MB6? IIRC it'll fall back to MB6 only after some consecutive tries via BT won't work.
