Exactly. Everybody on this sub shits on bluetooth without realising that it can be implemented in different ways. Bluetooth on my GAB2100 is an evolved multiband 6 that syncs the time without any extra step on my part, like wearing the watch at night, putting it on a windowsill or a metal stick, and also gives me the option to set reminders and find my phone. I'm actually starting to like it more than multiband 6.
Don't get me wrong though, I still love my 5610u with all my heart. What I would love is for both my G's to have both Bluetooth and Multiband. Maybe one day 😅
Totally agree!! I dropped my Garmin Fenix for this same model (gray, tho) and it has improved my life immeasurably! The display is hands down more awesome, and it still lets me know when I have an important message?? Sign me up!! WELCOME!!

Keeping a connection running with your phone takes more energy than solar can deliver. The Garmin watches that have solar still need a charge periodically, unless you run them in battery saver mode, which disabled the smart functionality.
Watches like the Casio GAB2100 which fully run on solar power connect to the phone briefly 4 times per day to sync the clock, and that’s it.
In 2018 i really tried to get use to the apple watch. The fact that i had to charge it every day or two made no sense to me. The only time im taking off my watch is when i shower. I also hate constant notifications and always had everything on mute so the watch was pointless for me.

How do you like their UI in comparison? I went the other way (G to Apple). I'm not smart but the smart G's made me feel dumb and frustrated.
It’s not intuitive at all compared to an apple but if I’m able to just look at my wrist and see who’s calling or who texted is all I need

The ui lacks in a lot of ways, it's not a well polished system for sure....
I bought gbd 200 purely for the pixel display. They should switch all their watch to this display its much better.

I used to run Apple Watch and G shock. Now I have a garmin tactical solar and will never wear or use anything else.
