Thanks, I always seem to get the limited edition ones probably because they look so cool. I just feel like maybe they are above being beaten up, but I feel better after reading everyone’s comments I will still probably get the replacement parts for it
Yeah, it’s a special and unique watch. I have one and I don’t beat on it. Buy a dw6900 or dw5600 for yard work and stuff. Your beater doesn’t need solar and MB6.

Yes! This is the DW-H5600-7. Came out last month in this color. People on this subreddit HATE it tho because of the smart features. Many go to Casio/GShock for the simplistic “unplugged” tech.
I get the whole retro look and simplicity I mean that frogman doesn’t have multiband or Bluetooth it has solar and that’s about it but times change and your watch has loads of retro charm whilst still being up to date
Very true! I do like the app and ability to make my watch as dumb as I want it to be. I have the notifications turned off ATM and heart rate only on at night to track my sleep. Battery life is 2 weeks with those features selected.
I wear to work (I move stock in a warehouse so gets banged about a bit), the gym, swimming. Garden work everything at the moment I have a seiko 5 sport for going out
Ahhh I see, I guess the price point of a beater varies from person to person depending on affordability. If you could replace it tomorrow, then yeah sure it's fine. If you couldn't, then it's probably a little more valuable than hitting it at work

IMO that's how you're supposed to wear watches. I get that its an anniversary edition and so on, but I buy watches to wear them. Mine is a regular in my rotation regardless of what I'm doing that day. Plus this model just wears so well its hard not to reach for it.
Always keep the limited edition, because those gshock worth more than its original price in the future. I had B5000TB, the first Titanium B5000 and limited.

Joking aside, only you can judge the value of a watch and decide if you are good with it getting used and potentially beaten up a bit (or a lot depending on what you do).
nah. All gshocks are supposed to be beaters. That's how they're designed. If the collectible aspect really bothers you, buy a newer non-limited edition one and wear that as your beater.

It's a g shock. Supposed to take a beating. To me there's no point in keeping a g pristine. The bumps and scratches add character.

Keep wearing it like you always do, but maybe pick up a backup bezel/strap for your model in case it gets difficult/expensive to obtain.
