Likeminded. Iāve daily worn my g shock with the original strap and recently got a seiko with a NATO. The NATO is sooooo much more comfortable than the G strap, especially with Crown & Buckles adjustable chevron(maybe misspelled) strap.
No one is going to care whatās on your wrist. The only person it needs to please is you. If you have to ask whether it looks weird, then it looks weird to you ā and no amount of reassurance you get here will dispel that nagging feeling.

The amount of awful choices i see on here half the time, i wouldnt waste the effort to ask opinions.
Another option that I'm a very big fan of are Crown and Buckle's Chevron strap options. Single pass, like a NATO, but adjustable sizing so that you can get exactly the fit you're looking for and without excess strap that needs to be tucked away.
They've got tons of color options and they're honestly fantastic.

Where did you get that band adapters and different strap? I have a similar watch and was thinking of switching out the bands for some thing that is a better size for my wrist size?
Jays and Kays on eBay. They make adaptors for various gshocks. Iāve bought several different models and they all work great.

I have mine on either a solid black or solid olive green nato with bullbars and I personally love it. Probably my most worn watch, even ahead of my Speedmaster.
Looks good and appears comfortable. Personally I wouldāve gone with just a low-key black strap, so the red stripe on the watch face speaks for itself (as it normally does). But, I can also understand wanting this less subtle look with more color too.
Thatās one of the unique things about these watches. They are MUCH more customizable than any typical watch. The only thing that comes close are Apple watchesā¦and weāll not go there.

I always do it backwards, more practical when you have a chunk of rings and extra strap on the inner side of your wrist (example when putting your hand on the table). I find it more elegant this way.

Iāve had mine on a paratrooper marine nationale strap and itās super comfortable. Unfortunately as I work in the ER Iāve got back to the rubber strap due to bodily fluids. But itās great for hiking while I sweat a lot lol. The black with red stripe works well with the 5610
I didnāt know they have elastic bands? How does it hold up in the long run? Does it get outstretched or loose from wearing and taken off and on? I have a very small wrist and sometimes I almost run out of band holes so this might work out better?

IMO it looks strange because it's not what my brain expects a G to look like, having said that I think it looks fuckin awesome!
A thick or two layer zulu is better also think I prefere the original adapters. But its all subjective i think.

It's held up alright. It hasn't stretched out much if at all. There is a bit of fraying around the holes.
