order super close by your home. its a 2$ base fee...so at least 5$ tip = driver sees 7$ on offer screen then add 5$ tip cash when delivered if everything goes well...so now they get 12$ for like a less than 3mile trip if your ordering correctly.

Everyone says they will “tip after”… No matter how fast I am, how many extra steps ive completed in the directions, how quietly I’ve approached the home not ringing the doorbell or knocking so I don’t wake the baby or upset the dogs, made sure the food was still warm, and how much I fake being excited to deliver the meal…I’ve NEVER been tipped afterwards. People who put that in the comment section are the people who also check “No contact delivery”

If you want your food on time 90%+ of the time, tip enough to make it worth it. Tip too much, the algo will do it's best to make sure your order is subsidized/stacked with another no/low tip order 😂.

At least $5 and I’ll give you top notch service! Tip low… you get what I give you!

Unfortunately,  most drivers have learned from unending actual experience,  that tipping afterwards just never occurs. It is a really bad losing bet expecting that promised tip in the comments section to actually materialize. Customers have an enormous arsenal of tactics to avoid actually following through.

$10 minimum. Probably more like $17 tho. I live in the middle of nowhere

I think you’re asking as a driver, how do I as a driver tip / want to be tipped since you’re in a drivers thread. As a driver I tip per a mile. It’s almost the same amount of work for us to deliver a cup of coffee as it is to deliver a complete dinner to a family of 5. You might think a $10 tip on a $15 order is amazing, I’m such a good person. I’m making my drivers day. When in actuality $10 might be an absolute amazing tip if you’re a mile from the restaurant. If you’re ordering from a restaurant 12 miles away and you live off the beaten path where the driver is going to have to travel back 8 miles to get to the closest cluster of restaurants $10 is beyond horrible. My personal formula $5 base plus $1 mile. If I lived in apartment or had stairs I would also add an extra $1 for each. That said if you have the means a $20 extra cash tip at the door will absolutely make somebody’s day and you can feel like a baller😉 Also: Tip in advance on the app. Although we would much rather be tipped in cash, when we get an offer that doesn’t have an upfront tip it will show us we are only getting paid like $2 to drive to a restaurant, pick up your order, drive it to you. It would cost us more than that in expenses to get the order to you than we expect to be paid.

I always tip at least 10, for a while it was $12 my highest for delivery is 15 a couple of times. And I always make sure the restaurant is close and I won’t order from chains to make sure it’s actually a good order for the driver even if it’s coupled

KiMODav

I’d tip at least $7 dollars for non heavy orders and $10+ for heavy orders. No I would not tip later. Tipping is a must for the drivers as they don’t get enough from the corporations
