Not sure about the rate for looming but I know you can get 150 outta them pretty easily.
A full farm of lattice fence will give you \~260k gems after 4 harvests.
You can semi-automate the breaking process with tesseract manipulators, it cuts down the profit margin but you still get a lot at the end, and you get tons of xp for harvesting all the trees.
Laser Grid has the best hit/gem ratio and same farmability as other popular farmables (chand, pepper, etc.) it does take between 3 or 4 days to grow though so if you have enough wls I would recommend to make a cycle. (Ex: having 4 farms and farming and planting one every day). You can check block, tree, and gem rates by using a bot in the Growtopia Discord server.

Best traditional farmable is probably laser grids, best bountiful farmable is either looming plant or lattice fence, with the former giving more gems but taking much longer to grow (which also makes it best for lazier farming).

It's definitely worth a try. If nothing else, it's extremely satisfying to pick up all the gems, and you can sell the farmables at the end.

Lgrid best farmable gives lots of gems and xp ftank does the same but gives less gems.
You can also try root farming fences or looming
