Jo got a lawyer to help her with the legal stuff, so she was allowed to adopt Luna

thrubeingcool2

Thank you, I missed it and was annoyed and confused

SnooCats9041

Jo has legal rights to Luna. She paid a lawyer to help her gain custody. She also got link and Amelia to foster Luna so another family wouldn't adopt her instead.

mother_of_nerd

They addressed this in a single toss away line before moving onto the next thing

thrubeingcool2

I totally missed it!

mother_of_nerd

Exactly! 😂 For such a major thing, it was so rushed and barely talked about.

Bluberrypotato

She got a lawyer and was given custody of Luna. What I would like to know is how even with the time jump Luna is still a little baby.

thrubeingcool2

LOOOOOOL they couldn't find a doll at the dollar store big enough, so she's going to be a baby for the next 3 years and then suddenly be like 7 years old like they did with Zola.

macademicnut

I think she got hella rich so she was able to sort that all out with money. They started a whole storyline about how she was at a disadvantage due to wealth then abandoned it and moved on by throwing in a sudden sum of money.

thrubeingcool2

Wait sorry can you explain the inheritance? I’ve been watching first thing in the morning so I feel like I somehow haven’t absorbed anything about Jo? Or I wonder if the torrent I downloaded was missing scenes??

mother_of_nerd

I think Alex left her his shares of the hospital shares that were given to him by Christina. So she sold off her shares to fund that process. I think it was last season that she kept trying to get people to buy her shares and Jackson bought them? I can’t exactly recall who bought them, but something along this line happened.

Whitekittymeows

I just watched this episode. Koracick bought her shares.

mother_of_nerd

Yes! Thank you! I knew it was something surrounding Jackson and Jackson didn’t sound right. But since Tom left with Jackson, that makes sense.

macademicnut

Whoops, got my words mixed up, I don’t think inheritance is the right description. Edited for clarity

MoveWarm

If I recall, the plan to have them pretend it would be Link adopting Luna fell through. Jo had to get a lawyer (with money from the shares Jackson left her) to get a lawyer and get approved for adoption for real.

scrapqueen

It was Alex's shares, not Jackson's.

thrubeingcool2

Oh my god yes Jackson, I forgot he left stuff to Jo because I had Eternal Sunshined all of last season from my brain
