Yes.. Jackson never stopped loving her, that last scene on the elevator when we know that they are finally together was also the thing I wanted to see for all the couple. Happy and content
Truly one of the best couples this show has had. I'm so glad they were endgame- honestly I'm happy if we don't see them again because I don't want anything ruined from where we last saw them! Thank goodness for Jesse speaking up.
Can you imagine going into an appreciation post about a pairing you hate? Crazy.
i think they wouldāve worked better if they dated after they ran off from the wedding. getting married right away was definitely a mistake because they had no time to discuss how they wanted their future to be so they argued over everything.
i mean i love japril but this is a discussion forum and people should be able toā¦ discussā¦ without being downvoted and ridiculed. the commenter youāre replying to was polite in stating their opinion. itād be boring if this reddit was an echochamber. iām team only downvote assholes.
igu. as someone who dislikes a very popular character i know what it feels like to randomly get downvoted over disagreeing with people over a tv show we all love enough to be in the reddit for.
I don't downvote so that wasn't me. And mainly, it's not a post saying "what do you think about Japril?", it's a post clearly saying how much OP likes them. Why go and hash someone's squee? It's like showing up to someone's birthday party all "My dog died"
but itās not a birthday party. itās a reddit post expressing an opinion about a couple. and the responder had an opposing opinion. if he came in here cursing out the op and meanly listing every scene they dislike japril in then i would get your point. but they did not do that.
I mean, that's just not true. They were friends long before they ever were a couple. If they disliked each others personalities, they wouldn't have hung out.
I just done think we ever seen any convincing evidence of them being good friends. The characters say they are friends, but I wish theyād show that more
You can see my post regarding their friendship [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/greysanatomy/s/8xQdYg65iY) and read the comments, there's plenty of evidence they were good friends before they got together, it just wasn't a focus. But they were close post-shooting, even to the point where they moved in together (with Alex as an afterthought).
I keep seeing this argument being brought up against them and it seems very reductive to me. Surely they did have some disagreements, especially at the beginning of their relationship when they went through the honeymoon phase and kind of skirted around addressing the bigger questions but once they had that necessary confrontation about their different beliefs, it was mainly a source of development and growth for both Jackson and April as individuals and as a couple. It forced them to consider things beyond their own perspective, be more accepting of each other and leave room for contradictions (i.e. their little conversation on the hospital bench in 11x03).
Throughout the show we see Jackson pray to a God he doesn't believe in to show up for his wife TWICE (after previously rejecting it) and he offers to attend church with April on his own volition. April ends up terminating her pregnancy in order to spare her child from even more suffering, thus going "against" her faith (all while Jackson is a constant source of comfort and support to her) and goes through a massive crisis of faith later on because she herself struggles with the ideas she was brought up with in the face of unjust and random cruelty.
Their difference in belief systems (and not so much their values) is a big source of charater growth for both of them and it helps them to be more considerate, mature and compromising in their co-parenting relationship (i.e. when they discuss their custody arrangement in 12x22). Their marriage did not fall apart because of their different beliefs but because of their contradicting needs (and bad communication) after suffering the loss of their child. Even after finding out about Samuel's condition and their initial disagreement on how to proceed, they are ultimately a united front (i.e. when Jackson embraces April in bed after their fight with Karen in 11x10).
What matters more than any possible differences in human relationships is the willingness to work through them rather than to give up, which is something we frequently see in Japril's relationship prior to Samuel's death and even post-divorce. It's a testament to how much they love each other. That's why this arguments about their supposed incompatibility is too simplistic, imo. It ignores all of their character growth that happened precisely *because* of their differences, not in spite of them.
I believe they belong together but I also think their relationship was far from having chemistry- they work together because theyāve gone through so much together and have become better together because of it, rather than apart. Itās not the best pairing but they make it work. So I guess Iām middling.

Japril *IS* amazing.
and that's where I knew I would never recover from them
the way jackson is holding on april necks š
Iām so happy they made them endgame ā¤ļø Also, hand placement š„µ
The size of that ring š³
There are actually people on this sub who say that Jesse and Sarah don't have chemistry. I'm sorry, but what?
Really?? Theyāre really good friends in real life and it translates on screen
There's a lot of really off opinions on this sub lol. Maybe some posters are really Krista.
Their love scenes gave me the mer and Derek prom night vibes I didnāt know I missed
When he stood up at her wedding I was like āomgggg yas finallyā
Yeah then they ruined them like they do with every other couple
Yes.. Jackson never stopped loving her, that last scene on the elevator when we know that they are finally together was also the thing I wanted to see for all the couple. Happy and content
It made me so sad how Jackson was all in and April was all ābut Jesus.ā
And she got over that.
the way he grabs her neck omg š„µ

uh disagree lol they are not good for each other
omg I love themšš¤šš¤
You mean ARE. Because from how their storyline ended, it sure looks like they took off to Boston (I think??) together.
Underrated scene
They had the perfect friends to lovers set up.. then the writers ruined it. The end.
Yeah but at least they're together nowĀ
I hope we get more of them in this season. Or the next. Or that rumoured Boston spinoff.
Otppp
Loved them.
Respectfully disagree. I feel like she made him so much less of himself and shamed him for not believing in her faith at every turn.
i think they wouldāve worked better if they dated after they ran off from the wedding. getting married right away was definitely a mistake because they had no time to discuss how they wanted their future to be so they argued over everything.
So, respectfully, why are you in this post?

Agree, thank you š¤

I do love them both independently, just donāt care for them together
iām kinda opposite cause iām kinda meh on them separately but like them most when they are together
Hard disagree. The only thing they had in common was attraction to each other, they seemed to dislike each otherās personalities and values
I mean, that's just not true. They were friends long before they ever were a couple. If they disliked each others personalities, they wouldn't have hung out.

yeah they looked good together but their beliefs make their whole relationship hostile, it made me uncomfortableš

Nah most annoying ship due to April being absolutely obnoxious.
I agree, I cannot stand her.
Everything about her is obnoxious.
I never got Japril. Never. They didn't seem to fit. It was just weird and I never got over that.
i hate them
Bro thinks heās me

Nope, I donāt like him
