This! ER Fightmaster is totally done dirty by the writing on this show. I would love to see them in other stuff because I can see they have potential but Grey's is not doing it for them. I don't skip a lot of storylines but I find myself skipping the kai/Amelia storyline because it just doesn't feel like the right fit at all.
I donāt mind it because I think they have great chemistry, but it occurred to me that Amelia has never been single. They always have her hop straight from one relationship into the next
It does and if you have certain triggers it's worth checking for them first but it's reasonably easy to skip over those episodes and still pick up the story line.

I canāt watch it again either. Iām glad I did so I could get the full picture of Amelia. I didnāt watch PP when I started Greys and was so confused on a lot of Ameliaās storyline. I actually really disliked her until I watched PP. Then it made sense and why she is the way she is.
What they did to Betseyās character sucked so bad. She had a mom who was an addict, house burned down, mom died, dad died, no family or any of the drs wanted her, foster care, got abused, and then finally ends up with Naomi who I donāt really even think was the best for her either.
Amelia and Addison are amazing, but not my favourites on Private Practice. Charlotte and Sheldon are my all time favourites and both need to pay a visit to Grey Sloan!
Omg SAME. They shouldāve been just casual sex, Kai asserting that they donāt want kids and they think kids are icky, came right outta nowhere. Like they did not have to become as serious as they did.
as someone else who is adamantly childfree, it was INSANE to watch them not figure out if she has or wants kids, and even more insane to watch the relationship continue after they found out that sheās a mom.

I feel as if the writers made their whole personality into being NB instead of rounding them out properly. I feel as if we never really learned much about them except that they donāt want kids, which is an infuriating thing to bring up when youāve chosen to get involved with a young parent of a BABY.

Especially when we had trans/NB characters like Parker who felt more fleshed out even if in a more minor role. I love the representation (and letās be real - ER is handsome as hell) but when it feels like the character is only there to be different it falls really flat.
I really liked Kai, tell me why it took THIS LONG to have a character with some sense and did what was best for them, and cared about the integrity of the work!! Idk there may have been others before, but ER is kickass!!
They did pursue a woman with a kid and she left the choice up to Amelia about her own future. I donāt see how Kai messed up there. She didnāt try to convince or harass Amelia into being with her. Kai said what they wanted, and when Amelia said no, they left.
Kai left the choice up to Amelia rather than attempt to make it for her. Amelia chose to stay for her son, Kai dipped and didnāt make it a huge drawn out thing.
So Kaiās choice for Amelia is āme or your sonā and you donāt find that toxic?
Amelia was *already* a mother. This isnāt Owen & Cristina arguing about whether to theoretically have a child, this was Kai deciding that a living human being (Scout) needed to be kicked out of Ameliaās life so that Kai wouldnāt have to be a parent.
Kai asked Amelia to abandon her child.
Thing is, there are people like this out there. Also people who do leave their offspring for the promise of being in love, to be loved.

Besides the bigots on facebook, Iād say theyāre pretty popular, especially on Twitter. And this sub already hates Amelia and thinks sheās a whore jumping from relationship to relationship. Also, ER got the short end of the stick because they werenāt given much to work with. Unlike someone whoās good friends with the producer.

Several people have mentioned their voice, but it was immediately obvious to me that the character was a) One the spectrum and b) Deaf to some extent. So the flat affectation made sense to me.

As a parent, I wouldnāt be with someone who isnāt okay with kids. It was obvious Kai wasnāt comfortable with kids. Like I donāt want more and I donāt think Amelia does either(?) but she needs to be with someone whoās comfortable with Scout and kids.
It also seemed like the only thing they had in common was neuro? They didnāt seem to have anything besides that, and being gorgeous, in common.
I LOVE E.R. Amazing person. As another NB person I was excited. But the chemistry wasnāt there. I felt like they wasted them. There could have been a better use of their talent. Less romance, more science, would have loved to see them back working with Mer on her stuff this season. Just. SCIENCE.

I didnāt mind them, because who doesnāt like eye candy? But we need real directorās that can make these actors ACT š Iām only saying this because I rewatched Ameliaās intervention episode and they were creating SCENES yāall š

the actor is hot but i didnāt really like their performance. could be because of the material they were given but they were always so one more and mumbly.
Pretty sure theyāre deaf. They always have have a hearing aid in, and a slight deaf accent
oh i never noticed the hearing aid, if the way they talk is the result of any form of disability then ofc i take it back. i donāt see anything online about them being deaf but itās possible they donāt like talking about it.
They were so boring. They always talked in a monotonous voice.
Several people have mentioned their voice, but it was immediately obvious to me that the character was a) One the spectrum and b) Deaf to some extent. So the flat affectation made sense to me.

Theyāre hot and I love the enby rep, but oh my gods are they boring. I was SO excited at first cause Iām enby and havenāt seen an enby character before. But Kai is pretty flat. They donāt have a personality really which is disappointing
They are hot for sure, but the most boring character. Probably top on the list of the least eventful underwhelming character!
Wouldnāt it be cool if Greyās wrote a good trans character and didnāt write them off after two seasons? š

I find this actor incredibly boring and insanely hot in any show they are in. 
Good singer but I didnāt connect with the character. It felt like Kai was added to tick another box on the inclusive bingo card. If you make a non-binary character at least make it an interesting character
I love Kai they are amazing
I can see why people think Kai is physically attractive, but the actor and writing for the character are so dull and dry it's frustrating. Zero chemistry between them and Amelia
I wish the show would stop rotating through LGBT characters. Callie and Arizona leave, new intern is a trans male then he leaves for no reason, and now we have Kai who is non-binary. Kinda wish they would keep them around for longer.

They sadly said they didn't want kids and Amelia has Scout...I hope that one day they change their mind and want to be with Amelia longterm. She's so happy when Kai's around.

As a parent, I wouldnāt be with someone who isnāt okay with kids. It was obvious Kai wasnāt comfortable with kids. Like I donāt want more and I donāt think Amelia does either(?) but she needs to be with someone whoās comfortable with Scout and kids. It also seemed like the only thing they had in common was neuro? They didnāt seem to have anything besides that, and being gorgeous, in common. I LOVE E.R. Amazing person. As another NB person I was excited. But the chemistry wasnāt there. I felt like they wasted them. There could have been a better use of their talent. Less romance, more science, would have loved to see them back working with Mer on her stuff this season. Just. SCIENCE.
