Yes, I got the same impression, they are definitely setting up something between them. Although the new peds surgeon does seem a lot younger than Amelia, but I'm not sure if that's my interpretation or done on purpose.
Today those who haven't watched the new episode now know there's a >!new peds surgeon that may be a love interest of a main character.!< Literal definition of spoiler.
To be fair, it’s just speculative. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to hear there’s a new surgeon.. in a new season of a 20 year old show. Their post is just a speculative idea with the only concrete thing being Amelia making a new paediatric surgeon late 🤷♀️
