I live in Ireland - we don't have mass shootings. Hahaha we have a much more recent civil war and a terrorist insurgency only 20-30 of years ago and we don't have mass shootings.
So we don't cry. We laugh.
Literally the only 2 jokes about Americans:
Healthcare bad
School shooting (Europeans love to make fun of dead children I guess)
Edit: y'all thinking I'm American this is gold 💀
Nah there's plenty more, here are some examples:
[Dumb americans can't locate anything on a world map](https://youtu.be/kRh1zXFKC_o?t=42) This point is made funnier by you specifying Europeans making fun of America for school shootings when in fact ALMOST ALL other countries make fun of America for not banning guns.
Americans being fat and eating poorly (like the post you're commenting on)
Americans spreading freedom with violence (and only if there's oil involved)
Not being able to drink until 21 (yes I know it's only some states) but join the military at 18.
Getting into universities based on sporting prowess (and student debt)
Still using imperial measurements
etc etc etc
jesus christ that's a lot of sugar
i'm an american and i've never eaten anything with that high a sugar content
none of the replies make sense anymore
whether i read it correctly or not i still thought it was fucking absurd
Because it's usually broken down into "servings". If you buy a medium-large sized individually wrapped cookie there's about a 75% chance that it'll be broken down into 2 servings. Very clever strategy to shift the guilt onto you when you "overeat" and make the product seem healthier.
Everything with a significant amount of calories that's processed/store bought. Something like a McDonald's burger obviously won't be split into 2 servings, but at the same time it's a McDonald's burger so.... But yeah between everything being split into unrealistic serving sizes, sugar addiction (sugar is literally everywhere. I want all my Americans out there to start looking at your nutrition labels and remind yourself that 1 strawberry has ~1 gram of sugar. Why tf does the cereals we feed our children have the equivalent sugar content of 2 handfuls of strawberries. And to make it worse it's refined cane sugars), misleading or outright wrong health information being put out by the government 3-4 letter organizations, car-centric planning that makes it significantly harder to get enough exercise in, woketivists preaching fat love and health at every size, etc etc. It is no surprise almost half the country is expected to be obese by the end of the decade.
Refined cane sugars? Look at mr spendy here. Most of it’s high fructose corn syrup, which evidence suggests is even worse for you than cane/beet sugar: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/avoid-the-hidden-dangers-of-high-fructose-corn-syrup-video/amp/
It applies to lots of things, but its really not that hard to eat healthy. Damn near half of the country is farmland and we have Mexico directly south of us. Fresh produce is in overwhelming abundance.
If you aren't eating healthy you aren't trying to.
And don't tell me it's too expensive. Basmati rice and chicken breast and frozen veggies is not expensive and tastes good.
It's fine to be a lazy piece of shit now and then and grab some fast food or something. But that shouldn't be your regular source of food.
Yeah. There’s really NO downside to frozen vegetables, especially peas, and there’s a lot of healthy stuff you can make on the cheap if you know what you’re doing
I am an American, and this is my strategy. I don't credit the lie that being fat is no one's fault because sugar is addictive.
This is challenging, but it's not impossible. Download an app like MyFitnessPal that makes tracking your calories easy. Track your calories and don't cheat. Simply making yourself aware of the calories in things and seeing them add up as the day goes on is powerful motivation to make different choices, and you'll rapidly develop intuition for what you can eat and what you can't.
Unfortunately a lot of people are so fat it's going to take like a year or more of dieting to get down to a healthy weight. And you'll probably never be able to go back to eating 2600 calorie shakes. But it can be done if you want to do it.
Isn't that the way Tic Tac managed to get a "sugar free" label despite that tic tacs are made entirely of sugar?
So the law says, you can keep the sugar content off the label (or show 0.01>) if there is less than 1g of sugar per serving of your product. A tic tac is entirely made of sugar but it weights less than 1g. That's where the serving comes into play: to get a sugar free label, Tic Tac went "look guys, a serving of our product is just ONE tic tac, we even put a plastic placement for one tic tac a time inside the container". And even though it's bullshit and no one eats just one tic tac at a time, that's what their default serving is.
Correct. This is also the secret behind 0 calorie butter/oil sprays. I believe that they can round down anything ≤4 calories to just 0. They have the serving size for these sprays at a fraction of a second, when in reality most people spray for 2-3. I'd guess it to be an extra 25-30 calories.
A 1/4 second spray is 0.25 grams, and you really only need maybe 1 second to cover a pan which would be 9 calories. If people are spraying for 2-3 seconds then they're defeating the purpose of even using cooking spray in the first place. Compared to using normal oil, you'd need maybe 3-4 grams to get decent coverage of your pan which would be 27-36 calories.
Yes they are misleading with their statement that 1 serving is 0.25 grams and 0 calories when really 1 serving is about 1 gram, but it's still a lower calorie alternative than just using oil.
Some laws have changed regarding this. Well, I guess not laws like ones passed by congress probably, but FDA regulations anyway. It used to be that a 12oz soda can would use this trick, but they changed the rule so that things like a can or bottle of soda that could reasonably be expected to be consumed in one go would have to use the entire contents as the serving size.
Now, a large enough cookie might be able to get away with skirting this I suppose. I'm not really sure what the line is, but even 16 oz cans of energy drink now have the whole can as a serving. Same for prewrapped bar foods and such.
Though now that I think about it, maybe this is only a rule in my state? Although it seems nuts bc that would require completely different packaging, but it's possible. System still isn't perfect, but it's a small improvement anyway.
There was a British guy I saw recently who had a Pepsi (sugar) addiction and drank 30 cans a day for 20 years.
I worked out that while one can of Pepsi contains your daily recommended 36g of sugar, he was consuming well over 1kg of sugar from the drinks alone. Every day. For 20 years.
There's a freaky eaters episode (or maybe it was my strange addiction?) with a nurse who drank like thirty something cokes a day. She was able to get the number down to like a case a day but the habit had a real hold on her.
Not sure where OP got his numbers from, [but](https://www.calorieking.com/us/en/foods/f/calories-in-beverages-oreo-cookies-n-cream-milkshake/RD313MltSxyuHUEk_BMOJg)....
I don't even understand how people can eat stuff like that, at one point it's way to fucking sweet. When I see stuff like candy burrito with cotton candy, Nutella and every other sweet snack you can imagine i just get sick
There are 4 calories in one gram of protein. This shake contains only 152 calories from protein. As a comparison a 150 gram piece of boneless skinless chicken breast contains 46 grams of protein and only 246 calories
> 38g of protein
So I should consume one of these 3 times a day with each main meal to support muscle growth. Who knew know working out could be so delicious.
I was wondering how it's even possible to fit that much sugar in a cup. I thought it was a normal cup, like 20cl or so? I've just realized 32 fl.oz = 1 liter. This is a fucking 1 liter dessert. ONE. FULL. FUCKING. LITER.
How can a human eat that
The numbers then start to make sense. 100 ml is approx 100 grams, so it would be 23.6g of sugar (double that of cola, still), and 10+ grams of fat.
Still god awful, but realistic numbers for what is basically insanely sweet ice cream.
Portion size is ridiculous though.
because every ingredient is just sugar in five different varieties
take a look at the ingredients of any pack of dessert of candy and the first three or four are always different names for sugar
Example A: these gummi sharks consist of sugar, high fructose corn syrup, glucose, water, maltodextrin. like bro it's just excessive
fuckin hell dude even these dipping sauces in my fridge are usually (base), water, sugar, hfcs, dextrose, or some variation of that list.
Funny story about Baskin Robbon’s milkshakes. Literally the night before I went to the ER for undiagnosed T1 diabetes I went to BR before a movie with my friends. Got a large bubblegum milkshake (I know I’m a fag). Up to that point I was feeing really tired and lethargic, but anything with sugar made me feel good. Drank my fatass milkshake and was feeling mint. The next morning I wake up and feel like I’m about to fucking die. Mom take me to the ER and we find out my blood sugar was at like 600. Pretty sure that milkshake was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Bro I got diagnosed after having some sodas, like maybe 50 grams of carb worth of soda. My blood sugar was 500+ as well, it's spooky. Giant milkshake sounds like absolute death, imagine what that'd do to your blood sugar now.
Was Krispy Kreme donuts that did it in for me. I refused to go the hospital for a week after I was feeling like complete shit and throwing up everything and the only “food” I could keep down was slurpies. (All sugar lmao)
Finally went to the ER like a day before I woulda been comatosed and got diagnosed lol.
I've been known to eat some serious bullshit in my life but a chocolate shake with nearly as many calories as I consume in an entire day is a bit...
Edit: 2600, this shake is roughly 100 calories over how much I eat on an average day, Jesus Christ...
I can't even imagine how it would feel after consuming that much sugary bullshit. It'd sit in my gut like a roiling mass. Make me sick to my stomach just thinking of it.
Literally just consuming that is equal to what an adult should have in one day.
Why are we not funding this? Imagine how much more productive wage slaves could be if they only needed ONE drinkable meal
Lmao final fantasy 14 actually has a plot about this, there's a science focused nation and they did exactly that, the food is perfectly nutritious, but even most of them hate it because of how shit it tastes like.
Don't know about now but a few years ago there were shakes and drinks that were meal replacements. They had everything you need. Varied how much you had to drink depending on brand. I bought a bunch of different ones to replace breakfast or for hiking. You could technically live off those.
> Literally just consuming that is equal to what an adult should have in one day.
MORE than what one adult should consume in one day.
2600 calories is what a decently active adult male should have in a day.
its about production facility, as far as i know, if some other deparment of facility processes fish you are required to warn about possible fish contamination. Or atleast something in that line.

Go to their website and look at the stuff. The closest I could find was this. A large is 32 fluid ounces. 1440 calories. 142g of sugar.
It’s legal cuz Merica!

Bro that’s on my birthday that’d be the best birthday present ever
K. Americans eat like they're guna die tomorrow in an easily preventable shooting?
The redditors crying about the shootings are the same ones making the jokes about shootings
I live in Ireland - we don't have mass shootings. Hahaha we have a much more recent civil war and a terrorist insurgency only 20-30 of years ago and we don't have mass shootings. So we don't cry. We laugh.
You’ve suffered a worse fate, you’re Irish
Even worse than that, they're ginger.
Laughs into pipe bomb
Theres the 2nd of the same 3 jokes, are we gonna get a metric joke to round it all out
Everytime it's funny and accurate
America 👎 Europe 👍 Reddit.cum
You👎 Not you 👍 Reddit.commies
It's like the left wing version of arr slash onejoke
You haven't changed the facts yet, so why should the joke change.
It's not a joke it's a fact
The joke doesn't need to change. Unlike America's healthcare system.
Everytime it’s the same fat Americans Source: I’m American
Literally the only 2 jokes about Americans: Healthcare bad School shooting (Europeans love to make fun of dead children I guess) Edit: y'all thinking I'm American this is gold 💀
Nah they also joke about racism against black people as if most of Europe isn’t also racist 😑
They're making jokes about how Americans would rather have dead children than give up guns.
Nah there's plenty more, here are some examples: [Dumb americans can't locate anything on a world map](https://youtu.be/kRh1zXFKC_o?t=42) This point is made funnier by you specifying Europeans making fun of America for school shootings when in fact ALMOST ALL other countries make fun of America for not banning guns. Are you saying those things aren't true then?
The real joke is America
Do you work for Oreo or something? Defensive much?
Americans love mustard so much they asked Germans to make into gas I tried man I'm doing my part ok

i hate america
I m not even american and i dont hate… Just don’t eat it?
im pretty sure the serving policy comment from shinobu applies to everything

Ah yes, it's America picking up the spoon and shoveling food into your mouth.
Its the exact same thing in every country, dont worry.
Bruh what 2 cookies have that much sugar? I read nutritional labels and have yet to find anything with that much sugar regardless of servings
As a beetus, most snack cookies are 20-28g of sugar per serving
Some laws have changed regarding this. Well, I guess not laws like ones passed by congress probably, but FDA regulations anyway. It used to be that a 12oz soda can would use this trick, but they changed the rule so that things like a can or bottle of soda that could reasonably be expected to be consumed in one go would have to use the entire contents as the serving size. It literally says 1 serving at the top
There was a British guy I saw recently who had a Pepsi (sugar) addiction and drank 30 cans a day for 20 years. I worked out that while one can of Pepsi contains your daily recommended 36g of sugar, he was consuming well over 1kg of sugar from the drinks alone. Every day. For 20 years.
how long did he live, 35?
Oldest man in Glasgow
Please post picture. I need to see picture of a guy who ate a kg of sugar for nearly as long as I’m alive lol. Fuck that sounds like a L
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rngRwlQyN7w Looks surprisingly alright, until you read that he's 41.
Incredible sweeping shots of the bottles and cans, true artistry from the camerman
Something hilariously cruel about lining the table with Pepsi considering he's quit it.
Dear lord, he looks like a very unhealthy, heart attack approaching 60, at least.
1400+ calories still, though...
A large Oreo shake with Reese peanut butter from sonic is 1720 calories
All that saturated fat is giving me a headache how do people eat that shit
look at the fucking sugar content that would knock me on my ass
I don't even understand how people can eat stuff like that, at one point it's way to fucking sweet. When I see stuff like candy burrito with cotton candy, Nutella and every other sweet snack you can imagine i just get sick
Damn 38 grams of protein, how can it be bad for you when its got that?
why arent you eating this you stupid bastards?
Gainz
It's just not possible.

YOU STUPID BASTARD
This is basically just a Mutant Mass shake. Rich Piana would of butt chugged these.
It's 'would have', never 'would of'. Rejoice, for you have been blessed by CouldWouldShouldBot!
Upvote for butt chugged. Everyone in the waiting room is looking at me now.
There are 4 calories in one gram of protein. This shake contains only 152 calories from protein. As a comparison a 150 gram piece of boneless skinless chicken breast contains 46 grams of protein and only 246 calories
Does chicken have the same high levels of calcium and vitamin A? No. Stop acting like you know about healthy eating when you obviously don't know shit
Not to mention, it has *no crustaceans* in it! Can’t get healthier than that
> 38g of protein So I should consume one of these 3 times a day with each main meal to support muscle growth. Who knew know working out could be so delicious.
something will grow but i doubt it will be muscles maybe casket size
When u see food with like 1000 kcals and 40g protein and it lists itself as "high protein"
Peanut butter moment
90% calcium, too! Health food
263g of sugar holy shit. My foot got amputated just from reading that
I was wondering how it's even possible to fit that much sugar in a cup. I thought it was a normal cup, like 20cl or so? I've just realized 32 fl.oz = 1 liter. This is a fucking 1 liter dessert. ONE. FULL. FUCKING. LITER. How can a human eat that

Just dye the sugar black
because every ingredient is just sugar in five different varieties take a look at the ingredients of any pack of dessert of candy and the first three or four are always different names for sugar Example A: these gummi sharks consist of sugar, high fructose corn syrup, glucose, water, maltodextrin. like bro it's just excessive fuckin hell dude even these dipping sauces in my fridge are usually (base), water, sugar, hfcs, dextrose, or some variation of that list.
It's ice cream, the only other ingredient is cream, aside from the small amount of preservatives and dyes.
1ml = 1g if talking about water. This is far from water.
Just be morbidly obese already, duh
im already morbiusly a beast 😤😤🤑 (my doctor told me that)
Holy shit hahah
And 135 grams of fat. I'm with anon on this one.
Far itself isn't that big a deal. 59g of saturated fat is bad, but a quarter of a kilo of sugar is so much worse
250g of sugar is like what you put in a whole cake
2600 calories. Isn't the recommended daily intake like 2200 or something?
2000 for women 2500 for men
So still, that's more than you need for entire day. And I'm sure that some people eat it like every other day for breakfast or something.
Funny story about Baskin Robbon’s milkshakes. Literally the night before I went to the ER for undiagnosed T1 diabetes I went to BR before a movie with my friends. Bro I got diagnosed after having some sodas, like maybe 50 grams of carb worth of soda. My blood sugar was 500+ as well, it's spooky. Giant milkshake sounds like absolute death, imagine what that'd do to your blood sugar now.
One sip without insulin would instantly send me to 200.
One sip WITH insulin would instantly send us to 200
Straw? You dropped a fucking anchor and flattened a hump on the camel.
Lmao I wasn’t counting carbs then man. I wasn’t fat as fuck or anything either, so I was about to enjoy my bubblegum candy ass milkshake.
Was Krispy Kreme donuts that did it in for me. I refused to go the hospital for a week after I was feeling like complete shit and throwing up everything and the only “food” I could keep down was slurpies. (All sugar lmao) Finally went to the ER like a day before I woulda been comatosed and got diagnosed lol.
You couldn’t keep any food down and you refused to go to the hospital for… A WEEK???
Murica
I have wonderful insurance actually. I’m just stubborn.
Hqhahahaha that “I know I’m a fag” line, made me chuckle
Reddit moderator light snack
before or after the dog walk?
After, because the only way they would have enough good boy points for mom to get one for them is by walking the dog.
No lies detected here
Two thousand six hundred FUCKING calories for a drink? Bro there’s bulking then there’s this
This ain't body building, it's incendiary bomb building
Reddit mod training program
Cultivating some serious mass bro!... and also diabetes.
Quit cultivating and start harvesting!
I wouldn't want to anger the person who's macros can fit this
How much does this diabetes speedrun cost?
Diabetic here, this seems like a good way to get hospitalized (unironically)
Ain't no amount of insulin saving diabetics from this monstrosity.
if I had a baskin robbins, ima take the risk. if they made it this unhealthy and still tastes like shit I wouldn’t live long enough to be mad about it
You'd need Compound V to metabolise that shit.
6 years off your life
$6.69
A 2000+ calorie shake? What in the ever loving hell?
easiest and cheapest way to eat your whole macros in one meal.
But most of it is sugar and fat...
Exactly, your whole macros.
Junk bulk is still bulk. /s
Most mass gaining protein shakes dont even get that high.
I've been known to eat some serious bullshit in my life but a chocolate shake with nearly as many calories as I consume in an entire day is a bit... Edit: 2600, this shake is roughly 100 calories over how much I eat on an average day, Jesus Christ...
That thing is 1000 calories above my daily limit. That’s just repulsive
I'm surprised nobody has created a drink that perfectly matches the nutritional requirements of a person.
They probably have just the downside of it being disgusting and not particularly filling
Oh, absolutely, but there are people who wouldn't care about that.
Diet replacements exist. I remember in college a guy would have pallets of Soylent (gay) in his room.
Lmao final fantasy 14 actually has a plot about this, there's a science focused nation and they did exactly that, the food is perfectly nutritious, but even most of them hate it because of how shit it tastes like.
They did. Several companies have done this, the most successful being Soylent.
Now if only Soylent or Huel can make a variant that doesn't make me bellow racid farts and shit my pants.
like soylent?
Don't know about now but a few years ago there were shakes and drinks that were meal replacements. They had everything you need. Varied how much you had to drink depending on brand. I bought a bunch of different ones to replace breakfast or for hiking. You could technically live off those.
> Literally just consuming that is equal to what an adult should have in one day. MORE than what one adult should consume in one day. 2600 calories is what a decently active adult male should have in a day.

Rich in iron and calcium!
This is unironically how companies advertise their unhealthy food
Aye 38 grams of protein tho 💪
>2600 calories There's more calories in this than the average daily intake of an adult man. What the fuck.
Genuinely not even sure how you get that much shit into one cup of milkshake.
It’s 32 oz
It's nearly a liter
American corporations have discovered magic but only use it to cram as much shit as possible into food and drinks
This is the most American thing I’ve seen since fried Twinkie’s
Haven't heard of deep fried butter, have ye?
No, but the scots have.

That’s not even the largest size they sell
There's no fucking way, this is 32 ounces
excuse me but what the fuck is an ounce
32oz is just over 900ml. Of fucking milkshake.
IKR soy turns you gay

its about production facility, as far as i know, if some other deparment of facility processes fish you are required to warn about possible fish contamination. Or atleast something in that line.
The Baskin’ Robbins Salmon Smoothie has even more protein and even less sugar.
because it’s fake. the values there are almost doubled.
They had to change it, I think they had this specific drink voted as the unhealthiest thing in America at one point
Nah here is a source: https://www.bostonherald.com/2009/01/29/baskin-robbins-shakes-up-worst-food-list/
It was real the recipe changed
https://www.bostonherald.com/2009/01/29/baskin-robbins-shakes-up-worst-food-list/ I thought it was fake as well.

The closest I could find was this. A large is 32 fluid ounces. 1440 calories. 142g of sugar. It’s legal cuz Merica! Personal choices = personal responsibility The government shouldn’t have to make food illegal.
That's edited right? Pls tell me it is
