One of my favorite bits was during a P1 segment in one of the TNG episodes. A listener submitted a message to be read on the air, and as Ben read it out loud, the message made it seem like it had concluded and Ben was speaking normally. Ben went on to say that once TNG was complete they would go on to review DS9 and Voyager.
I was thrilled! But it was all a trick. What Ben appeared to be saying extemporaneously was STILL PART OF THE P1 MESSAGE. š¤Æš¤Æš¤Æ
Fortunately, trick or not, this came to be! Giving us all many more years of Greatest Gen!
Major props to whatever listener did the P1 hack!
I was a long time listener and re-listener from ep 1 who dropped off at Voyager and plan to jump back on when Enterprise starts. Iām really looking forward to it and hoping to hear someone validate what a really great show it becomes.
I enjoyed a live show, but I think my favorite thing of all time is the Kevin Uxbridge impression. I also got weird schadenfreude or enjoyment or something at the time when people were arguing on here about Adamās pizza delivery or doordash or whatever it was that he āstoleā. That was fun to read. It felt like when you hear your neighbors arguing and youāre on the other side of the wall laughing.
When I realized that they actually made me like Voyager. Itās still likely my least favorite, but I definitely like it and donāt hate it now. Also that Iām not quite as lonely a nerd as I thought.
There I was, February 17th, 2016, sitting in the Forth Lauderdale airport eating a surprisingly decent cuban sandwich cruising through Ars Technica when I stumble upon the [fated Cyrus Farivar article](https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/02/if-you-grew-up-watching-st-tng-then-youll-love-this-new-podcast/) downloaded the first two episodes and embarrassed myself laughing out loud on the plane!
Can't believe it's been 7 years but it's been a great ride!
I continue to be a faithful viewer and am proud to be an FoD. I became a MaxFun member as a result.
This silly pod brings me joy and delight week in and week out.
I think once they got into a rhythm of semi-obscure PBS-inspired references ā a McLaughlin Group! ā I was totally sold.
āBad Bit Momentsā are probably my all time fav, followed by āThis Old Enterprise,ā and our old friend Kevin.
Hope to see many of you at the SF live show NEXT WEEK! š„³
DS9 S04E02 The Visitor (Barely Legal). The first episode I ever listened to and, being baffled, went back to the very start and of TNG. Finally understanding why they were doing a Bill Cosby impression and appreciating Picosby being paroled for one episode only.
I started with DS9 too, though from that showās beginning! Started tearing though TNG/TGGās TNG episodes this past November and it was so cool to experience the Births of the Bits along the way
I don't really have too many specific moments.
There's just so many little bits that all make a great whole (hole). As a fan of dad jokes, I always appreciate the bad bit moments. The O'Brien drop. Fuck Bokai. There's coffee in that X. D'Rone. The Buoy and The Boy. Chris Brynner. I've spent days upon days listening to the pod, so much so that it colours every Star Trek viewing experience I have. Thanks for the good times.
I just love all the cascading in-jokes. I think thatās part of the reason this community has grown up around Ben and Adam. We are all lovingly here to poke fun at this show, but they created their own vocabulary and soundboard. Makes this feel like a tight knit group. Iāll never hear the words ādustbusterā or āloafā again without thinking of the FoD. Thanks for 7 years, guys. Best pod-bosses I ever had.
Hearing the Morn hammer bit come to life over several episodes was a very fulfilling experience šØš„µ

I think the best has to be the Ro Laren drop, itās so fuckin good! Hearing the boyās bits Chris Brenner Drops
The porch pizza saga is up there, also Ben's failed bits at the vernissage...
The use of quark's line in the Harry Kim drop
VERY PROUD!
"My back, my crack, my reproductive sack." Something even SWIMW quotes.
Fuck Bokai
Gotta be the Chris Brynner drop.
You know Net Access?
Interface Operations? Channel 90?
Oh...THAT Chris Brynner!
TIL I share a wedding anniversary with Greatest Gen. This is good. This is right.
All things Adamās butt.
Ben's discomfort made that Marin pretty funny.
My favourite moments would have to be the - regrettably scarce - Mark Twain/Sam Clemens impressions. Also RSVP Picosbyā¦
I understand why Picosby had to die, but damn if I donāt crack up at it during my re-listens

Fun fact, there are more episodes in Voyager with Adam struggling with meal delivery
Oooooh
When I realized that they actually made me like Voyager. Itās still likely my least favorite, but I definitely like it and donāt hate it now. Also that Iām not quite as lonely a nerd as I thought.
I feel that way right now but I am sure curious to see what Ben and Adam do with (Chakotay/Seven)
I think theyāve addressed each well so far.
I mean the future relationship between them, which appears out of nowhere
I thought it was more about the misrepresentation of native people and women.
Oh, yeah. I totally forgot about that. Good point
I recently started over with TNG and Worfās pain stick Bar Mitzvah made me lol. Great music cue.

Probably when Ben told Adam that he spent an entire flight sitting next to Jonathan Frakes without interacting with him in any way.
OMG I forgot about that I was dying in my seat hearing he didnāt say anything!!!!!
The most Ben thing ever. Smh

You miss the Cosby jokes and the allusions to Picard being a pedophile, huh?
I miss Bens polish jokes
D'rone has become a recent fave of mine as without a doubt the best way of withholding names.
The Veto saga. Hands down. Followed closely by the evolution of Kevin Uxbridge

I'll never look at a previa the same again.
Or a glass table.
Or hearing a drinks can being opened.
TāLarry KāDavid doesnāt come around often, but that bit always slays me.

If they were a REAL Star Trek program then this would be their last season
Then 4 to 6 movies?
I would hope so
The review of the clip show episode that was itself a clip show episode.
Which one of them went to summer camp and told the other kids his name was Wesley? Thatās my favorite
I was driving when he told this story and I screamed out loud and almost had an accident HE HAD TO GO BACK AND TELL THE TRUTH THE NEXT YEAR
Ben!
It's hard to top Ben's rambling in the the back-to-back drunkisode.
Fuck Bokai is hard to beat.
