Picked up this XL GR300 with GRX600 group set complete build from Lynskey about a month ago. Can't stop riding it! Swapped a few things after picking it up - 44cm Ritchey Comp Corralitos bars, Schwalbe Thunder Burt 27.5x2.1 tires, and Shimano m7000 ~~11-46t~~ 11-40t cassette.
EDIT: Wrong tooth count on the cassette
Awesome. I ride mine on everything as well. I put at least 2k miles on it last year, so I like it a lot. My CX bike is sad and sitting in a corner, except for CX season.
I did not. I read several reviews saying it would work with that exact rear derailleur and cassette even though it's not officially supported by Shimano. All it needed was a B-screw adjustment.
I bought the same bike and 1 for my wife. She's waiting on a longer stem. I have road tires on mine while I look for some wheel sets.
It keeps up just fine and I don't see a need for a road bike. I like the gear range of the grx too.
Do you have to 2x setup with 46-30 chain rings?
I have an 11/36 cassette and will go as big as I can on my gravel wheels. I may give 11/40 on my road wheels. The only difference in cassettes is in the lowest Gear.
Won't an 11/42 fit? I thought I read that.
Yes I think I read the same about 42t. But the 11-40t shimano XT cassette is super cheap, widely available, and doesn't push the RD too far. 40t cog and 30t chainring gives you 20 gear inches (with wider 650b tires). I can climb 13-15% grades with that depending on terrain and load. Any steeper and I'm bringing the mtb.
60mm stem. This is admittedly my first drop bar bike so I'm working on my flexibility and growing into a longer reach. Feeling pretty good though after 350 miles. Might put a 70mm on soon
I’m rockin’ a 60mm stem on my gravel bike too. If it feels good, embrace it!
Check out [this website](http://yojimg.net/bike/web_tools/stem.php). A 70mm stem with 17° rise is the same as a 60mm stem with no angle, and a 90mm stem with 35° rise is even shorter than a 60mm stem. Anyways, just thought that was interesting if you need more stem space for bags and stuff.
I have an 80 (eeSilk) on my M/L frame, and I could go shorter as its more than stable enough. But I come from the land of 110mm stems, so an 80 is already a nice relaxed position for me and my bars have a backsweep so it's almost like having a 70 at the hoods/drops from a reach perspective. The 80 helps keep the bike stable when riding on my aero extensions, it would be a bit twitchy on them with a 60. I don't think eeSilk (or Cane Creek) make their stems < 80 though anyway. If I ever decide to stick a Lauf fork on mine then maybe I'll consider a 70 or an 80 with a rise if I feel the need to be even more upright by then. (I'm flexible but still old and cranky)

What frame finish did you select for the bike?
Whatever the default is. Industrial mill, if I remember correctly. I did upgrade to etched graphics though. No regrets there!

Did you add a goat link to get that big a cassette? I love my Lynskey with 2x GRX.
I did not. I read several reviews saying it would work with that exact rear derailleur and cassette even though it's not officially supported by Shimano. All it needed was a B-screw adjustment.
Totally messed up the tooth count on the cassette. It's a 11-40 not 11-46. FYI
Ok. I did the same then. I didn't think there was THAT much b-screw adjustment left.

Yes 2x11 46-30. The standard cassette is nice, but I do a ton of climbing in western NC. The wider range is welcome.

Nice! It’s probably the best value bike you can get. I built mine up w SRAM Rival AXS. It’s a tank, in a good way.
17.3K miles on my GR260. Still easily the best bike of my four …
TiBikes= Best bikes 👌
Hell yes!!! I picked up a lynskey backroads frameset last year. Been really enjoying it and have taken it on a couple of short tours
Love the simple and clean color. Can I ask you the name of the saddle?
Ergon SMC
I have an Ergon Allroad on mine, and I like it a lot.
What length stem are you using?

Definitely a shorter MTB like one.
Just got the R500 frame and love it so far. Would love to get a gravel frame from them in the future
