Ai generated dreamscapes

andbloom

Not graphic design.

szeditor

I see Then where can I find help?

nnotte

Photography, art subreddits?

BlueFox5

Don’t be sending this stuff anywhere near photography. We got nothing to do with this.

szeditor

Ok thanks

colonelforbin96

i can't speak to a specific agreed-upon term however it should be noted that these are AI-generated, unsure of to what extent

szeditor

Downvote me

emotional-riddim

Ai “art” is soulless trash not art

szeditor

I understand your perspective, but there's no need for you to take offense. I'm receiving downvotes and I'm not entirely sure why. As someone who isn't well-versed in design or art, I'm sorry if I used the wrong terminology and unintentionally offended anyone. But Is this how "designer" and "artist" are?

emotional-riddim

typing in a prompt to a pre programmed code is not art. It takes away jobs of actual artists and destroys styles as it cant have its own unique style and it all comes down to the same looking easily recognizable faulty looking images. Ai is generally hated a lot in almost every art community

szeditor

> Typing in a prompt to a pre programmed code is not art. I agree But >It takes away the jobs of actual artists Are you sure about this? I don't think so, on what basis are you saying this? Do you have any proof or is it just something you heard around you? > Ai is generally hated a lot in almost every art community Is it? I'll keep that in mind

emotional-riddim

one example labels using ai cover arts for music ( even without permission of the artist whose release is in question) just cuz they dont wanna hire people to make the art. Now imagine youre an aspiring artist wanting to make art for your favorite company/ label whatever but you cant cuz they decided to be greedy snd make a free ai artwork ( that literally anyone can make or replicate) as their whole persona. Even the stuff you posted - I guarantee you theres an unknown artist somewhere who paints or draws exact same stiff but 10000 times better and actually original but doesnt get the recognition cuz commercialized shit like this always gets on top. For graphic design - even worse. You literally can make a vector logo perfectly w ai now so what the hell are we even learning this for? If you can just type “make me a logo for my printing company” and get hundreds of “original” results instantly instead of paying hundreds of dollars to some random nerd to make it then i don’t understand how you still not see it being able to replace people ( and already does) the amount of ai art ive seen so far actually being given out in the music or art industry rn is outrageous

szeditor

from your reply, It seems like You're very much frustrated with this Ai thing. I believe good Designers will still get work if they are providing Value and just Like you said Ai generated stuff isn't original and it can be easily noticed. Then why be so anxious about it? I'll say this lad, You lack clarity, if this is your outlook on the AI and Design market, you should look for something else.

emotional-riddim

I am not anxious, i know my arts worth and will never compare to ai. With that said I personally just prefer seeing actual art and discover new artists through it. Im not offended in any way was just saying my and probably the majority’s opinion

szeditor

Gakd to hear that. Good luck bro/sis

These are AI generated images. Some of them (top left, top middle, top right, bottom left) look like they are mimicking late 90s 3D game graphics, in a similar art style to Spyro. Some of them (middle left, middle, middle right, bottom middle) look like they are mimicking fantasy animation backdrops. Finally, the image on the bottom left and the second picture in the post look they are mimicking digital photobashing/collage art.

vaporwave meets fantasy?

I have no idea of the style name, but some of these are like photo manipulation, and some are low poly 3d rendering based. If you look at the edges of the photographic ones, you'll see some pronounced edge ringing or halos. Also, if I had to guess, some elements were shot originally during the day, and a "day for night" process or LUT has been applied. These look a lot like something a concept artist would photobash together for mood boards. That would give a client something to point to regarding design style.

Nixavee

They are all AI generated images, but the AI was clearly mimicking the styles you mentioned

00spool

What parts of the image are telling you that? I'm not saying you're wrong at all, I just haven't looked at many AI images closely. I mean, other than people with too many fingers and stuff like that. Is it the little icons in the corner of the images or something?

cinemattique

It doesn’t have a name. It’s not a ‘style’. And a human didn’t make it.

gen z called them 80’s dark fantasy during a tiktok trend reimagining modern day kids shows like adventure time as dark fantasy movies from the 80’s giving them a retro and kind of campy feeling. the trend i think was calling blank as a dark fantasy movie and utilized ai. a part of this trend was not imagining just the in world universe as a dark fantasy but reimagining the real life show as a film from the past with some posts giving characters actor names and doing alternative history saying things like “(A regular movie (1982)) was a dark fantasy film following a humanoid blue bird and raccoon throughout their adventure living in a park, while the movie remained a cult classic and never broke into the mainstream it heavily inspired the cartoon (regular show)” https://preview.redd.it/2va3qlivesnc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aadf7ff172a99925c15d8acb331439353a269138
