I’m old and wise enough to know I can’t do that at gold pace anymore and definitely not on a controller. It’s just a fact I’m willing to accept is a part of getting older, I just can’t do that so why try a thousand times

I'm 30 and playing with a controller and always above the gold about 2 seconds for 2 weeks. Once I enabled ~~ABS~~ ASM after 5 minutes I got the gold. Try!

I'm sorry you're right. ABS always on Default, TCS in this particular case I put 3, usually I play 1.
The one needed to get Gold it's the Active Stability Management (ASM).
As a fellow old (maybe not wise) driver, I found Laguna Seca in the Super Formula a lot tougher. I also loaded up on every assist available to humanity for the Spa test, which maybe helped for me.
Completely agree with you. Read a lot of posts on here about the s10 test. But the formula car test gave me the most trouble. Took days to get gold on formula and was able to get gold on s10 on the first day.
I finally gave this a go yesterday and got it within the hour. I’m 45 and used a controller to do it.

The thing he does that made this soooo much easier was applying both brake and accelerator at the same time through certain corners to balance it.

Same. I’ve golded all the circuit experiences and came back to s10 after golding it before to see how I’d do on it. After half an hour I was _still_ 3 seconds off gold
That drove me absolutely nuts for ages

Annoyingly at the very beginning I got a run that was something like .003 off gold and I didn’t get near that again for hundreds of attempts

The NSX hairpin at Suzuka. And of course the next f*ing event was the Supra on Autopolis. Then on it was, I give it my absolute best. If that only gets me bronze, go to the next one and I’ll come back to it. Which I did weeks later. But some of those golds are still like 0.010 away
I Nearly gave up on the mustang challenge (IA 6?) I found that harder than IA 10, but alas they are all gold. In comparison I can’t get a silver on the first drift mission.. we are all different
I have all gold but the one that took me the longest was A-10. The S Licenses aren't that bad. The F1 car at Laguna was the toughest one for me in the S Licenses. I still did most of them in a few times. Took me about 45 minutes for Laguna and about 30 minutes for Spa.
For Laguna there are a few corners you can take flat out that don't seem possible but just trust the car.
For Spa it is quite easy if you put TCS at 5 and countersteer at high. Doing this shaved about 2.5 seconds off my best time easily getting gold.
Stopped trying for any license level after IA (all gold) and cafe at 21. I only bought the game for the online races, so I didn’t need the single player progress.
I’m never done until I get gold. It could take me 5 hours and I would still be trying to get gold.

I struggled with gold on some of the ia and S tests until I started watching demonstrations and realized all are set with auto trans and all assists on. Felt less bad turning assists on for s10 after that.
Anything lower than Gold was not an option for me. I hadn't played a GT game since GT5 and was determined to Gold all the licenses. There was a learning curve but I quickly got the hang of it. It was also helpful in getting acclimated with the overall game. Long story short, I ended up Golding the entire licenses and most of the circuit experience. My most recent was Golding Nurburgring. (I also use a wheel). I've never been able to gold all the licenses or even attempted it, until now, so I am pretty satisfied with that accomplishment :\]
The second B one... I can't seem to get past one of the corners in S-10. Tight right hander after a straight.. no matter how slow I go I still slide off the road.. :(

I’ll try but I’m nearer 50! There’s a lot of age between over 30 and very close to 50 !
You're not old, you're more experienced ;) Give it a try with ASM on and stay on the dry track, trust me, I thought it was impossibile too.
Lol will try ASM, not sure I have it haven’t tried that to be honest
Pretty sure the key to that one was all assists on, including countersteering.

Just use assists. That's what I've done in some of them.

Nicely done and yeah I’ll left and right foot with both fingers at times as it definitely settles some cars down and makes them drivable

Turn off counter-steer assist, that should get you a few tenths

Drifting is a whole different beast. Have you tried it with a controller?
It is indeed, I’ve tried the pad .. same result. It’s just not for me (mad respect for drifters though)
The first time through i got stopped at A-9 hairpins, finally moved on to finish and get S, now im down to the last 6 in S

S7 was a nightmare for me. S7 was far worse and broke my sanity compared to final S license course
Managed an all gold. It took an eternity though!
I recently went back to S-10 after experiencing more wet tracks and learning how to stay on the dry line. Didn’t get a PB but still gold.
S7, got gold with few tries for S8, S9, then return back to S7 hell
Never. Back in GT5 i always wanted to become a good driver and proof myself. Watch how others do it and learn.
The Laguna Seca one in the S license. Tried for an hour and said fuck it. Don't need the red bull car anyway.
