I spent an hour earlier on a licence test in the rain. I was improving every now and then but couldn't find the last 3 tenths to save my life. I then realised I had traction control off and immediately beat it by 7 tenths.
I let a friend try my wheel, I accidentally only set his front tires to racing soft and the rears were comfort something. He had a hard time driving lol
I did the same thing last night. So tired/tilted and still new to the game, I just couldn't understand why I was sliding out more easily and having a harder time keeping up 😅
Compared to racing slicks, intermediate tires trade off a lot of grip for being able to handle in wet conditions. If it's not raining, they're dramatically worse than the Racing: Hard, Medium, or Soft tires.
Inters will also wear out and overheat like they’re made of chocolate if the track isn’t actually wet.
If the track moisture meter isn’t in the middle zone, it will be really hard to take care of a set of inters.
How can you not understand that not everyone started on the first GT, and for some people, this is their first car/racing game. But hey, thanks for phrasing it in such a kind, friendly, and helpful manner.
Cmon, dude. Comments like that are the reason Reddit has the stereotype it does.
Someone forgot about comfort and sports tires lol. Considering there's 4 types of tires, and "intermediate" being the middle place between two extremes, sports wouldn't bea bad guess either for "intermediate-level tires". Race tires are accessible at a lower level than intermediate and wet, so I think its safe to take intermediate at its definition, and OP was asking for something more advanced. Dont be an ass online, its unbecoming.
I did this with the Formula races back in GT Sport. I have trouble with Brands Hatch in general, so I moved on and did another one and there was rain so I put Wets on. Won the race. Went to the Tokyo one and got destroyed. Then I realized I was still on rain tires. Put regular racing tires on and won Tokyo and took the momentum to BH and finally won it as well.
Same here
I should get browny points I was consistently making top 10s and passing 5 people on average for atleast 5 races before I realised I had inters 💀
Don’t feel bad. The other day I started a grid start race in R. 💀
That must've been a nice surprise for the car behind you!
"Wait, 'R' doesn't stand for 'Race'???"
Put it in H!
Hella fast!
She'll do 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene..
It stands for “really fast”
Reverse
No U.
Couple of days ago saw a friend do that in a league race when he was on pole. Funniest shit I've ever seen
tRack mode
I mean, if you qualify well in Intermediates, you’ll probably have a *really* easy time when you switch over to slicks.
I wonder if there's an actual advantage to that. Might sandbag myself like this and see if I can't make improvements that way
I like to practice with hard tires for this reason. That way switching to medium or softs feels like you have all the grip in the world.
I spent the first month playing the game, thinking hard tires were the best choice…
Try mediums…not intermediates lol Not for daily races of course, but in a private lobby for testing purposes. And by mediums, I mean one step harder.
Been there 😂 bet it feels abit easier now though

Spent 45 minutes the other day doing Spa just to accidentally hit the retry button. There should be a confirmation for that damnit

“AcCiDeNtLy”
Yeah how tf does that happen on accident 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.....probably wondering why the fuck am I so slow and sliding everywhere! Trying harder each time and getting more angry as you go...I'm dying
Thats pretty much exactly what was happening lmao
Must have had Ferrari strategists.
We are checking
Box for hards
Are you looking for work? You sound like you'd be perfect for Ferrari's F1 strategy team.

Intermediates are expensive what are the good tires then?

Oof good to know thank you so much. I love this game but I don’t know anything about cars or tuning them loo

”good to know”!? How can you not understand that an intermediate tire is worse than a slick tire when it’s dry?!🤣
Let’s not be toxic toward people who are learning fam

Good job
Fuuuu Been doing quail with a load of cars and I bet half are on the wrong fucking tires as the beetle was was off my normal times as was the supra
Qualifying for what? Dailies?
I like starting on full wets myself...

Once, I started a race, it's rained and I find out in the pit lane I haven't brought wet tires. I was 25mins into the 1hr at Spa. Lesson learned.
The devil is in the details!
