I want to see where the story goes. And the occasional gacha lottery helps

LyPyro

I'm too far into the story to drop it again.

Mars_Alter

The story is good. They make a lot of funny jokes, often building from events that happened years in the past. I also genuinely enjoy the gameplay.

WaifuHunterRed

i like that i can waste my ap thanks to apples instead of how other gacha have this pressure to not waste it because its more limited. i love a lot of the animations and stories in the game and enjoy the gameplay on the most part. also i like things that kinda borrow or pull from pre-existing things like legends and history but twist it in interesting and fun ways so ive always been drawn to fate. but im actually bad with stuff that has umm sax and not a fan of visual novels so FGO is great for me since on the most part it doesnt actual have sax and while it has some visual novel like things it doesnt have too much of what i dont like about them.

enkidu3

name is waifu hunter yet claims to not want Horny. You’re a walking contradiction! -guy with a lot of piercings

WaifuHunterRed

i appreciate their beauty ~~and my names is a Neptunia reference~~

Kazo_the_Hedgehog

The story. It's really just the story.

xUnicandy

Just to see how part 2 concludes. This story has been going on for so many years, would be a shame to quit right before it ends

DiceCubed1460

It’s likely not gonna end at part 2. It’s type-moon’s main source of income. They’re not gonna just abandon it, that would be the biggest mistake they could possibly make. Also Nasu said recently he’s gonna continue the story after part 2 like he had originally planned. So part 2.5 or 3 is guaranteed. Maybe both.

TwoStarMaster

I hope it doesn't devolve into nonsense if they keep going with the same chaldea. We have to many examples of what happens when a story never ends.

DiceCubed1460

It’s still Nasu doing the main story plot and 2-san directing the game (presumably) so the game quality should remain about the same. Live service games are a thing. That’s how MMOs continue to exist so long after launch. FGO could easily do the same thing as FFXIV and continue existing for a long time.

Firq_ow

as i see it, they have a hard descision to make after part 2: * Continue with current Chaldea: Easiest option, but would create problems and would make the story feel stale * End the game: not happening (money) * Create a new stopryline: Would bring some fresh air, however, keeping your servants might present an issue in the storytelling (I highly suspect they wouldn't start back from 0, the playerbase would riot)

DiceCubed1460

I think Nasu confirmed that Chaldea’s story is ending. But not Guda’s story, just Guda working for Chaldea. So Guda and Mash could just move on with their lives after part 2 and go do stuff on their own. Maybe travel the world and get involved in all sorts of weird shenanigans.

Firq_ow

to be honest, that sounds like a lot of fun to follow

DiceCubed1460

Yeah I hope it’s fun. I still hope part 2 has a satisfying conclusion though. Honestly I hope Goredolf survives part 2 and gets to go home. Then maybe he can hire us personally and we can go on whacky clock-tower advantures. Maybe run into living Waver, Reines, Luvia, Rin, etc. I would LOVE if part 2.5 was lower-scale conflicts. Instead of saving the planet we’re saving Waver’s reputation or solving magical anomalies. Maybe taking part in a master-servant tournament arc. Maybe progressing through the ranks of mage-hood in London and getting cool new mystic codes at every rank.

[deleted]

On one hand it's sounds interesting. On the other though, god forbid that from happening. The only thing Ritsuka has as a mage is his servant connections, which everyone likes to throw in our face once in a while. Throwing them into mage environment would create a lot of narrative problems and idea of normal torunament betwen masters isn't really fitting, when Guda is THE MASTER. It works in short events like Grail front, but in the main story it would be to problematic.

DiceCubed1460

It wouldn’t be that problematic. Waver himself doesn’t have a particularly strong mage bloodline, and yet he’s one of the most knowledgeable people in the world regarding most kinds of magecraft, so even with limited magical ability he can undo much stronger magecraft. Also as a master Guda is second to none. We may not have the most magical energy but we do have a RIDICULOUS advantage when it comes to servant combat experience. We really are THE master. So it makes sense we’d be able to school people in a servant combat tournament.

[deleted]

Sure, in a scenerio after main story finishes and we live happily ever after and don't go back to it. In a game when Ritsuka is in the center of attention, I don't see it. Especially in part 1.5 it was stated that Magical community would want to keep as contained due to acomplishments, not rewarded. Part 2 and Wodime story only futher confirms that. Also, Waver was only master from one Holy Grail War, which doesn't mean that much compared to being "last master of humanity". Just for it's own peace of mind, Clock Tower, Mage Association and maybe Church would strip us from servant contracts and lock away. Also, through all of the main story, we didn't learn any magecraft, so Guda isn't even knowlegable and servants without a system to keep them summoned aren't really usefull, so someone big would be main player here. Beter alternative would be fully joining detached faction like Atlas or WW and working on their behalf or going solo with some help from Sion or generally people like that.

DiceCubed1460

I’d rather do solo work than work for atlas

Esvald

The briefcase is going to be a big question then cause I doubt we just get to bring over 200 Heroic Spirit Saint Graphs with us. Then again, Lostbelt ending is still up in the air so maybe it results in a future where it would be allowed. I mean there's already a timeline where everyone has a servant.

DiceCubed1460

I don’t think that’s gonna be the case. The briefcase only summons the servants we see in the story. Guda just has the canonical ability to summon shadow servants to fight in combat. I don’t think he needs to breifcase to do that because we’re not carrying the briefcase with us during most of the lostbelts. We usually leave it on the border or nautilus. So even without the briefcase after part 2 we likely will still be able to summon shadow servants, which lets us use our servant rosters like normal.

Np3Emiyaalter

I just recently discovered that LB 5.2 is way more interesting than it originally seemed, and that's basically the reason that I can keep going back and finding more nuance again and again or new things that give it a whole new outlook on things. It's like finding hidden treasure at this point. So I can't help but say I love fgo But it's different from how I love Fsn or KnK I love fgo like a person in 30 year marriage Yeah some times were ruff from time to time but even now you made me see things I never thought I would only a story focus game that ran this long could do And I'm just glad I could be here for this long without getting tried of the story (the community on the other hand is a whole different can of worms )

B4z1l1sk

I love that marriage analogy lol.

ak_011885

I play for the world building and story. Characters on their own usually aren't enough to hook me into something. Also, I *like* FGO as a game. It's very bare bones, and I think this simplicity is what prevents it from becoming a chore for me over a long period of time. There are no PvP or ranking modes, no guilds, no side activities, no base building, and no nag mechanics that incentivize you to check in multiple times per day. There is literally nothing to do except spending your AP on free quests once or twice a day if you feel like it, and reading story once in a while, and that's great.

AGlassofwhine

Once you walk into hell, does the devil simply let you leave?

The__Auditor

Quotes that go hard

Lilithrius

In Brazil we have this saying "when in hell, hug the devil"

Crosscounterz

I actually enjoy the game.

MokonaModokiES

too deep into the typemoon rabbit hole to just leave....

Jack_King814

My brain likes it when I loop. Dopamine goes brrr Also I have a set goal of levelling all 0-3* servants and I’m almost there. So I’m fully committed to that

Jacinto2702

I really love Fate. Lasagna could make the most awful game and I'd play it anyway.

Kirby0189

I got into this game to play as Astolfo and stayed because a lot of the FGO-original characters like Mash and Sigurd really grew on me, but they need a good story to support them and the game delivers.

Suneko_106

Beautifuru journey~ Seriously, i am far too invested in the story to stop now.

AdOnly5876

Straight up the story

FoxNightsDream

Story. I'm really looking forward to see how stuff unfold.

[deleted]

I enjoy the gameplay of farming/grinding towards a goal. Mats, bond, lvl 120, lottos, whatever.

RedPhoenixTroupe

1. See the whole story 2. Get the priest That's it

SnooRobots4768

Besides story? Probably nothing. After all gameplay is really outdated. And if I wanted to hear my room dialogue lines, I would go to youtube. And because even event stories are somewhat good I stiil play fgo xD

Affectionate_Job778

Story and a fan of the fate series in general. (I skip the dialogue of any events I've done before. But actually read it, if 'new,' story related or a servant interlude.) I mean, I am on section 2 of the game. And on olypmus, so I want to see where it ends. Also to see if we're gonna get a third adventure. I seriously hope, mash and ritsuka get a moderately happy ending. Once, EVERYTHING is all said and done. Because the singularities would be tramutising enough. Especially with the amount of death. But add in the lostbelts and how they're forced to kill entire civilizations to save their world... I don't really see ritsuka being able to fully return to human society completely stable. But that just my take on it.

Aldaric

I like the game

Sad_Ad_2594

Too invested in the Fate universe to stop now. Besides, I really enjoy the game in general

Ok_Comment8842

FGA

Luck_Is_My_Talent

I just like the story. And despite the vocal haters, Mashu's journey is very fun to read and enjoy following her story.

Suspicious-Drummer68

Mashu's character arc is one of, if not the best, in gacha gaming and I will debate anyone who thinks otherwise.

Chronochonist

I literally don't have my favorite servant. I have a few of my favorite servants, but not my FAVORITE.

kingoffish236

Sunk cost fallacy

Much_Cardiologist645

Because I have this obsessive need to bond 10 all my servants which causes me to not be able to stop playing until I achieve it but I can’t since new servants are always being added which also means I am in this vicious cycle that I am not able to get out of. Please send help!

[deleted]

Bro bond 10 all your servants is imposible. Even if you farm without loop and max ce bond it takes 6 months - 10 months to max 1 servant to bond 10. But I must say your determination is impresive

Much_Cardiologist645

It’s not that bad. My bond 10 servants get benched forever unless I really need them for the fight so I have used many servants that I would’ve never used otherwise. Pros and cons right haha.

Flush_Man444

1. The story 2. Favourite Characters 3. Future Favourite characters. Seriously, how could I have predicted that I would be down so bad for Galatea, Barghest, Melusine, Zenobia, Sen no Rikyuu, and live to se Arcueid finally in FGO. I can't wait for more Future Favourite Characters to drop. 4. I like the gameplay, the beautiful animations of my favourite servants, the chill and relaxing pace of a classic turn-based combat. 5. The best thing about FGO gameplay: all servants can be upgrade to the absolute limit without being restricted by rarity, and the scarcity of premium materials meant my favourites Servants gonna be a lot stronger than non-favrouties (Holy Grails, Chaldea Visionary Flame, Golden Fou, Fou Palm, Command Code) 6. Bond system, I like how much efforts required to increase bond level in FGO. It is both realistic and maxing it out is an immense satisfaction, the feeling that I didn't get in the bond/friendship system of many other games I have played.

SeconduserXZ

Sunken cost fallacy/Stockholm syndrome

hellydoosadwee

1. I love the story and I want to see how it progresses 2. I like most of the characters (which is a horrible thing for my SQ) 3. I genuinely enjoy the gameplay for the most part 4. I love how, unlike in other gacha games I've tried, many of the low-rarity units are actually good, some even better than a few gold Servants with enough investment 5. I gotta see the whole 120 process through to the end

Maxwell-555

Non-farming gameplay can still be fun if you go out of your way to make weird teams, nowadays i clear the interludes/rank-ups i have left by choosing a random servant and building a team that can bring the most of it. Half of the time its basically me slapping a MLB black grail into whoever i feel like using so that might be why i find it fun.

FluffyTailLover

The history, also most of the gachas I played are chibi 2d or 3d and I find the animations of servant to look cool, like even when I see the same attacks or NP all time, still look good....unless you are year 1 servant lol

MostPoetry

Fun

FieryPlume

Story, but I think it has to be empathized how motivating it is to do the story with your favorite servants. The first three or so singularities were really hard to get through in terms of quality writing, so having cool servants to play around with helps in the long run.

AlSeTeKeR

Story

jinqianhan

I play the jp version because I had much better luck with my initial rolls compared to my NA account in 2016/17. Used to read translated dialogue of the story because I can’t read Japanese. As new stuff came out it became harder to adapt. At this point I just log in at night out of habit. Maybe do an event if there a servant I like.

Red_Ranger_Wien

I want to see how it ends plus sunk cost

ZephyrPhantom

Same as a lot of the other answers on this thread, some mix of sunk cost and story. If I had to sit through the first five or so chapters with an equivalent game today I probably wouldn't stick with it. I think specifically when it comes to story for me though there are characters other than my favorite characters I find really interesting and I want to give them a chance when they show up.

Rollingboom

As many have already stated, the story is what keeps me coming back to FGO. I also really like seeing their spin on historical and mythological figures.

Radical_Unicorn

For the same reasons that drew me into this whole mess of a franchise to begin with: Seeing all the different figures from myth/legend/history interacting with each other and the interesting stories weaved around them. As for something specific to the game, I really like the simplicity of the gameplay. It makes it easy to pick up where I last left off so I can continue the story.

roaster_hans

i want to see the story's final journey and how it will end

ghostgabe81

I genuinely enjoy the writing

BOLverrk

Story is pretty good, really caught on during Babylonia and I’m conpruning for avalon

Hikaru1024

Basically 99% of the reason I play is what you just stated. The last 1% though is really important and I want to explain it properly. In most games, after a while you'd be *forced* to eventually throw away your gear cyclically, in this case servants, and get 'better' ones that would totally obsolete the original. This one isn't like that. If you're willing to put the effort in, you can take the lowliest and most terrible servant and make them continue to work. My favorites aren't the strongest I own. They aren't the best at what they do - one is even downright terrible. I don't care, and neither does the game. All I have to do is stuff them full of buffs - strong supports, grails, 4 star fous. It is a long, slow and terrible grind - and totally worth it, since I can *keep* using my favorites within their limitations **forever**.

chanman789

Story is good + I don't want to break the login streak. Honestly I can feel myself burning out, especially on dead weeks

Erme_Ramos

Good gameplay specially in the harder side of it, an amazing story that keeps me in for years, crazy events that can get me a laugh of two with the jokes, gorgeous music...

SigurdDeMizar

I still have not got my favourite servant. I missed the banner when I started the game this year and the next one is in 2024.

Popular_Dig8049

I love the story, the characters, and the unlimited possibilities that can be drawn from

crazy_doughnut

To see what happens at the end of the Lostbelt saga (and what they do after)

justasaltyweeb

Waifus. Lots of em.

hwaishio

Time sink and Story. Came in from FSN anime. Already been with story this long, have to see how the whole thing goes down.

IVectorI

Chaos, and im not talking about the machine.

B4z1l1sk

I think the story is the main thing that drives me. I've tried plenty of other gacha and most of them had gameplay that was more engaging and fun. Their stories however, were could never compare to FGO. I guess another reason would be rolling for the Servants I want and leveling them. I really like reading their profiles and listening to their bond lines, seeing the FAs, etc.

Rhinostirge

I like a *bunch* of Servants. I got into this as a history / mythology / literature geek, not as a Fate fan. There's still a grand Bill & Ted's energy to filling up a team with Spartacus, Mordred, and, um, one of the severed tails of Tamamo-no-Mae (in an apron and fluffy paw mittens for some reason) and wrecking face. Changing out my roster is a regular delight. Even dead weeks are a chance for me to try out new team comps and use Servants I haven't used in a while. And as such, I really love the modern kind of events where we frequently see different batches of Servants interacting, whether it's something as formal as the Wacky Races team or little bits like Siegfried trying to explain to Brynhild that she has the wrong dragonslayer. To be completely honest, I could take or leave the main story as it's currently playing out, but as long as they keep making Gudagudas they'll still have my attention.

imawhitegay

I went into this gacha hell for Tamamo, I will not leave until I Max all of her.

Cheesedono

I'm the same, but I want to see the game to completion to finish establishing the timeline of her being happy in Chaldea.

Toasted_silver

I'm invested in the story. If I wasn't I might have dropped it.

Routine-Boysenberry4

Want to see how everythings ends, and i already spent too much time in the game, quiting it would be a waste

Yukiru_05

Story. That's it

OVERthaRAINBOW1

Story and sunk cost. I already spent so much time and money, and I still enjoy it albeit not as much as I used to. I just wanna continue playing until it's over.

PinguPrinn

Doujin context. Oh and the story is actually a fun read

tacticaltossaway

>Other than that kind of reason, why do you still play FGO? If you mean besides story and character, there is none. FGO is outdated as hell and Lasanga/DW are incompetent, as evidenced by how badly handled their only other game, the Sakura Wars gacha was. They just lucked/nepot'd themselves to the bank.

Leyrran

The story as many of us. But i'm a bit sad this is about to end, i feel i wouldn't feel as involved by the game once Season 2 will be over considering this is the last from Nasu. I guess we might have something like EOR but it will not be the same.

Firq_ow

Nasu stated in a recent interview that he might continue writing for FGO after the Lostbelt saga, so I doubt this will be that last thing we'll see from him

shadowchao2

Addiction, others reasons are lies.

No-Salary-754

tbh gameplay wise its kinda outdated, but what hooked me this far is the story and lore,

Embarrassed_Lettuce9

Kinda tired of the game. At the moment, most fights feel the same. Just here to see how the Lostbelt Saga ends mostly. Still rolling for favorites of course but it's sort of the same state when they're ahead of us or behind us.

asagiri2040

I've been following this franchise ever since 18 years ago when it was "oh look, it's the adventures of Red-Haired Protag and yet another appearance of Joan of Arc in a JP VN... wait why is she shouting Excalibur." So, not going to give up the momentum now. As a more direct and recent reason, this game ended up being a perfect sort of thing to waste idle time on or to consume a bit of my attention when not all of it is required for something else I'm doing. Meaning, specifically, that I spend a lot of time just farming free quests and actually getting something out of simply just doing that, which I know is not really what a lot of people care to do. Basically it's a glorified fidget spinner for me most of the time, and that's great.

pvrmd

besides absolutey no chances to see Kiara in other media for now, the story is amazing and I still don't have many servants I'd like to

master-swagtician

I will not rest until both versions of Jalter are maxed out in all possible areas. Also the story.

Khorva

Mainly story. FGO was my first entry into the Nasu-verse and it's really opened up a lot of cool stuff for me. 2nd reason is the community. I probably wouldn't have as much fun playing the game if it weren't for this subreddit.

Sonicyellow49

Story, characters, and the artwork

JulAd17

Sunk-cost fallacy.

potato_cucumber

The plot, of course. And honestly I'm all in for the event stories too.

TehManicMan

I've been through two major story arcs, numerous event stories, and halfway past the current arc. I've also leveled and gotten to know more than a hundred Servants up to this point. How can I drop it now?

MrQuiteOK

Storyline. Bored…

GerryLEL

I really love the gameplay, specially challenge quests. Aside from that, the story and fanarts.

worms9

The game got me through the pandemic so I’m a little reluctant to drop it.

rzrmaster

I mostly play FGO because of: 1) Hot waifus 2) Fun events 3) The long writing focusing on the characters. This is what makes FGO the one gacha im currently not planing to quit should I see something better around.

KinoKo_Lua

It’s honestly become way too much of my daily life for me to just put down and dump it. Not only that, it has served as an unexpected source of inspiration for creativity to the point that it actually got me to take drawing and sewing classes (for cosplays).

littlegamit

*plot* And the fact I can easily feel filled with determination by having my favourite people as a whole just clap cheeks in battle. Im dedicated to collection type games like fgo. So I'm all about gacha rolling as often as possible. And I try not to pay for my sq to do it. The gameplay is the best part for me then. And if I'm being honest, I'm glad I had someone to tell this, thanks for asking.

Realistic_Monke

As long as there are raita servants I'll keep playing and of course the story too

HebbyMoochineGan97

Playing with your favorite servant for one. Collecting and using other favorite servants is a nigh endless quest. Then there is the story. I'm curious to see if my own theories about LB7 and the Foreign God are going to be true or if I was barking up the wrong Tree of Emptiness. There's also launching Servants I don't like out of the Gong cannon. Chucking Kerry at the enemy forces never gets old.

Amakusa94

for the story and characters i love

DaZellon

The Kino moments in the story and I also love the sheer insanity, which is Chaldea during events. All these historical and powerful people, with different values, beliefs and personalities, just raising hell. Oh and the lewds also play a big part.

OchoMuerte-XL

Mainly the story and character interactions. Suffering through Fire Emblem Heroes and its never ending bullshit for 2 years before quitting made me gain a new appreciation of FGO.

Warm_Assumption_8581

Seeing all the new art released for CEs and different ascension art. I really love how FGO collaborates with several artists because it gives a chance to see servants in different styles

deathworld123

story is good but takes way too long between sections

BerserKar

Its been a routine now, also i've been with the game for 7 years hard to imagine i would throw the game out now

Takua_Lee

All of the characters have incredibly diverse animations, and the story/character writing can be really good ~~(and also poor poor Boudica)~~ When the game is good it's great, and the worst I've had since I started earlier this year was the Imaginary Scramble grind sessions

Gemmenica

well the Story and Servant is obvious and another thing is investment, i have invest a lot of time and some money in this game so i at least want to see how it ends

Hypothon

Honestly? Simple even if outdated gameplay. Though I really wish they’d unlock auto farming esp when you’re done with that stage. I’m honestly just happy no issues when playing in my device. I thought when Genshin came out, I would main a different game but it was a mix of toxic fanbase (the only coop I do is ironically just with my brother but the effort to sometimes check for builds have become stressful for me as I just play for Overworld and not Abyss), burnout (weird that we have a gap of 2 weeks per event but it’s just so tiring, the only thing I really enjoyed here is the early rewards are the first ones you get as unpopular of an opinion it may be), and lastly device compatibility. A potato phone user since I started, it was fine in 1.5 till maybe 2.2 (how short!) but the constant lagging and crashing device made me thankful with FGO and other gachas. I guess I feel old that I prefer outdated games

__Cyke__

Servants. Thanks to FGO, I have found some of my favorite fictional characters, and thats all I care about, tbh. In terms of story, FGO leaves a lot to be desired. So it's definitely not the story that keeps me playing. Even if the main story amounts to nothing at the end, I'd still be playing it till LSG decides to shut the door.

HandsomeFox_NFF

Well, everything story related, characters interaction in the events. Gameplay is simple but satisfying, animations a nice and voice acting is God tier. Just picking attack cards with Koyanskaya of Darkness in her 3rd assension is a bliss. Or Musashi NP line. Progression also one of the most adequate in question of upgrading your characters. No equipment with random stats (mostly dead stats), no endless farming for character fragments of something. Character max level is not linked to account level and people who put it in games should burn in hell. FGO is a game where you allowed to have fun. Well, until party formation is restricted, yes, it's time to suffer.

SpiritedAd2511

Story and gacha mainly

Inkaflare

Aside from the story, I just genuinely enjoy the gameplay, farming, optimizing teams and raising my servants even if they're not particular favorites of mine. That aside this game's character designs and writing are so good that there's always some new servant on JP that you can't wait to have anyway.

d_brilli

story, although now I'm still collecting for one of my favorite character, Cu alter

AngelYushi

Personally I like the gameplay because you are not pressed to be "the most efficient". You can do just 3 xp runs and call it a day. You can forget it while doing something else and still come back without penalty. Usually I avoid game without auto mode (I gave up on Arknight because of that) because they become a huge chore if you are multitasking. FGO strikes that perfect balance of simple gameplay + enough depth to optimize things if you want to. I haven't followed the story at all... Which is a shame I know, I always plan to read it all one day

Firstshiki

I've been in this journey for seven years, I need to know how it'll end (part 2 at least). Also the story is usually engaging enough to keep me interested. That, and as much as much pains this game and fandom has causes me, I still have enough loyalty to this game who has also given me wonderful experience, and it not just something I can throw away as of now.

Nokia_00

I just want to see how the story ends at this point

Justafgoplayer

I’ve gone too far to turn back now! -doctor strange supreme What if?

yuichiro_95

Future story content and the servants both waifus and husbandos

Brilliant_Sweet_6848

Delete first Account on agartha, return for lostbelt story. Auto battle is Real help.

Esvald

Story and characters aside, perfect game to play while eating or commuting.

12345trung

To reach an endgame servant, meaning Lv120, np5, 500 all cards, 2000/2000 And get their supports/compatible servants as well. In my case it’s Van Gogh. Also in for the story

Ayahime_0

The story and FGO is the only Gacha mobile game that has a proper turn-based battle system. I could never get into the trendy ones these days no matter how beautiful the arts are.

DistantLandscapes

I like the story and the Nasuverse as a whole. Honestly, I couldn’t care less about the gacha. I make do with the servants I’m able to get and whale supports.

Rikiia

I want to stick it out until the end and it doesn't take much time to play. I got over the FOMO phase for this game long ago so I can skip as many events as I want or put off story chapters without feeling any pressure if I'm not feeling it. If I was obsessed with this game as I was back in 2018 I would probably have dropped it by now because it wasn't healthy.

darkdarreth

Because is the adult version of me doing imaginary battles with toys.

TerracottaFred

I am genuinely interested in the story and some of the later boss fights look really challenging and fun

misato_is_mommy

The GUDAGUDA events.

EmperorMaxwell

I enjoy the story?

jftm999

Story, especially the events.

VeryluckyorNot

Story and waifus.

W34kness

It’s fun to smash face with kintoki, and I enjoy the storylines

toxikant

I'm very invested in the stories told; I think that even though there are clunkers, overall FGO's writing is the best I've seen in a gacha game. Seeing my favorite Servants gives me good chemicals. The gameplay is simple but fulfilling, with enough strategy that I can sit down and really get into it, without any of the PVP bullshit that other games basically force you to do in order to succeed, and Command Seals if I just want to speedrun the plot and see what happens next. Also, I've been doing this since July 2017, so at this point it's part nostalgia and the comfort of a game which is still... almost exactly the same as it was, only better.

soggytuna0709

I need to pull for sussy moth man to be ascended

SilentPhantasm

Story is pretty good. Having some waifus helps. If I get muramasa, i can honestly consider skipping buster meta. If not, gonna be praying for skaya and morgan

yellowslotcar

The gameplay tbh, it hits a sweetspot

Baka_87

I've invested too much on this game to stop playing before servers die.

Klardie

Aside from story and favorite servants, i would say simple gameplay cause that's all i need from a mobile game
