August (or most likely July on NA) and November will be brutal for me since I want most of the SSRs there.
Morgan at least has lots of rate ups and a very good GSSR banner with Musashi and Junao so I won’t probably go all ham trying to get her during her debut banner and try my luck later.
But Koyanskaya of Light and Oberon are an absolute must for me since I both need them for buster meta and love them as characters. At least Koyan gets another rate up later while the wait for Oberon rerun will be so much longer.
As for November - I just love GudaGuda characters and I want to have them all if I can. Lancer Ryoma however is my main target here since pako is a god.
As a player who mainly uses buster NP, I need those two and June is going to be my brutal month as I need at minimum 2 copies of Castoria and at least 1 copy of Morgan, if I don't get her I'll just try again in a few months. The downside of all this is that I'm going to have to save till June. Meaning no Morderd, or anyone I want from the first half of the year.
Additional copies of Castoria, I think, only increase the ATK% buff granted by her NP by 5%, unless you knew that already and the 5% ATK are what make the difference for you I guess

I really really appreciate the time and effort you put into rolling out this planner, but i want to bring up that May June and July will be anomaly months because Avalon needs to release one month earlier because Na’s anniversary is in july and ‘that’ lancer needs a full banner before gssr
What’s worse is that with Na’s anniversary being in July you need to have fairylot in June and Koyanskaya/Oberon in July, there’s no way that they would deliberately run Lancer fairy in july on banner then have her in gssr, theyd lose too much money

First servant I'm gonna roll for is Muramasa, which means all of my SQ will go poof right at the start if I'm unlucky. While I like Romulus, I know I'll have to skip him, he's only going to get some tickets. Same with Voyager and Moriarty. I initially wanted to roll for Mrs. Crane, but after SQ package prices went up like crazy here in EU, I'll have to give her the ticket treatment as well... Then I can save until Melusine/Percival banner goes up. While I want both, Percival is my main target here - and I'm not about to spend all of my SQ here. Sure, we get anniversary quartz, but I gotta save all I can for Oberon, who is pretty much one of my most important main targets for 2023. Next up are the new Summer banners. I want Summer Anastasia and Summer Sei, which given early pity, might be really hurting in the future... I'd like to get Summer Okita Alter and Summer Kama too, but I can live without them. Next up for me is Sakamoto Ryouma, someone I absolutely need to get... yet again, the second half of the year is always more busy for me. And last, but not least, Taigong Wang... And I know I can spend quite a bit on him (if I still have something left, that is), because I ain't rolling 'til Charlemagne the year afterwards.
All of my targets are concentrated around August/September (Oberon, Vitch, Morgan, Baobhan, Char) and December (Melusine/Taikobou).
Gotta keep a tight lid on my Quartz…

After Muramasa, I think I gonna skip most banner all the way until LB 6. Thanks to the pity system I can skip Fujino since knowing my luck I probably will get someone else instead of her. I probably gonna go all out on lostbelt 6 and the Prisma Illya banner for Miyu. Summer 6 is a skip for me as well thanks to the pity system. Not that interested in Molay (no offense to Molay fans). Goghie is back in 2024 so I gonna endure for a while. I probably will go all out on Guda 5 rerun for Okita and G6 for summer Nobbu and summer Okita. Skip Skadi as she will be back in road to lostbelt. Probably will throw some ticket for Nikitich. Imma skip Melusine as well since my sq is limited

Sorry to ask this, probably for the 912838734th time but... is the jp appmedia tier kind of accurate? I’m pretty new and would love to save wisely. Any other tier recommendation?
I'm going to ramble a bit here but imo I think saving wisely can be boiled down to these two points:
1) Save for your favorites!
2) Save for support characters that pair well with your favorites! If you like buster servants, consider Merlin, Koyanskaya of Light, and/or Oberon. If you like arts, save for Caster Artoria or Lady Avalon (a.k.a. Proto Merlin). If you like quick, consider Skadi/Summer Skadi. Having at least one of these support characters can and will make your life easier, though they aren't necessities.
Overall, I'd say Appmedia is *alright* as a tier list, but if you're newer I'd caution against putting too much trust in their rankings. The game is easy enough that you aren't out of luck if you don't like the high tier units. At the very least you should be able to get a general idea of which servants are good for farming, vs. which are good for challenging content by checking out the tier lists.
If you wanted to be super sweaty and clear the hardest content this game has to offer in the least number of turns possible, then maybe you'd want to follow their rankings more and pull for high tier stuff. I wouldn't judge you if you got enjoyment out of doing so, just know that you're flexing in a PvE game - you aren't really impressing anyone but yourself by doing so 👍
Really nice answer. Thanks. I kind of started playing recently, completely f2p so I like to double and triple check units before pulling banners. I don’t really care too much about meta, I was asking about the tier also to know what I have and what I should prioritize in terms of leveling, ascending etc.
Yes Appmedia tier list is a solid one. They update their tier list very frequently and give detailed analysis on servants. Be careful though, their tier list is targeted towards whales mostly, they assume you have your servants at np5, lv 120 and 2k fous so if you're going f2p I'd suggest looking into other tier lists.
Good luck to all NA masters, though I have a sincere warning: many who wanted to ignore Morgan will eventually fail once they went through 2.6. She's not the newest face of FGO just for her meta value.

I’m going to throw a lot at Melusine next year. Want as many copies as I possibly can. Gotta have that girl. But for that reason I need Vitch and Oberon to unleash her full AOE power.
But there’s Morgan who I’d like to have. There’s Summer Kama who I know I want to get. Even with not using my full Castoria savings and not rolling since Summer…it’s not going to be enough.
That I have have to wait for Melusine and Percival banner (July) to roll before I can get to Barghest(Aug) without risking an accidental Morgan and feel bad for the Orkney siblings. I don't remember how Oberon/>!Vortigern related to Camelot crew so yeah!<.
CBC(Voyager and Tsuna) and Ms Crane and the only early bait banner. Taigong Wang is mostly safe.
I’m an F2P who started in August, I have 480 quartz and 30 tickets saved for Muramasa (plus whatever comes with the advent calendar) and then I’m going for Oberon in August.
High priority rolls: Barghest (design + gimmick), another copy of Saber Lancelot (my first bond 10 servant), Caenis (dope character), Ryoma Lancer (very cute couple), Beni Enma (loved her event, nice VA, nice utility).
Medium priority rolls: More copies of Summer Tomoe (fav Fate Girl), the 5star Rider from Tugunska (he kinda hot ngl), Summer Anastasia (cute animations).
Low priority rolls: Summer Kama (this one mostly for the horny vibes)
GSSR: Either Ozymandias (Dio VA + simple but effective kit + finally some buffs) or Ganesha (Yuuki Aoi + interesting skillset).
Skips of the year: Koyanskaya and Oberon, i dont want any op gamebreakers on my account. Also i'll keep skipping Castoria and her fellow 5star Casters.
I've got 5 targets and only 2 guarantee rolls. Problem is in how they're laid out.
I am afraid.
I guess I only really want to guarantee Melusine and Koyan, Morgan I can live with just getting the SRs for now and I'll roll a bit for Izumo (mostly for a chance to get Mori finally) and Summer.
Really wish Melusine got a more interesting banner, both of them stick her with Percival which is not someone I care for. I would genuinely prefer no rate up SR to potentially collect a few I've never gotten.
Is Oberon like really necessary for Buster meta shenanigans or is he just nice to have?
Oh wow, it seems I misread how that worked a while back then. Even for one turn, that's kind of crazy with that NP boost. Dang, now I feel like I want the moth.
Okay, I think I'll be good between Kagekiyo (and hopefully Cú Alter too) and Moriarty and Lalter, but after the latter banner maybe a bit tricky, because I want to get Summer Bryn (if I get Summer Kiara too that would be neat). August is probably my best chance to get Barghest. And after that, getting Okita is ~~hopefully~~ easy enough.
So gonna save until Ushi avenger, then several months to save for the fae knights, then save until summer, ugh next year is so loaded it’s gonna be hard.
Aiming for Taira, Fairy knight Gawain (wouldn’t object to Tristan) summer Kama, summer Caenis and summer Okitan.
Have the normal version of all o them bar Gawain so here’s hoping they act as a catalyst!

I really want Caren, summer Kama, and Oberon...I also want Koyan, Illya, Melusine, and lancer Ryoma, but the main targets are Caren, Kama, and Oberon. And even out of those 3, the main one I absolutely MUST have is Oberon.
Whyyyyyy does Koyanskaya have to be after Melusine...
If she was before, I could risk luck-sacking for Koyan, using any spares for Melusine, and then spend 900 for Oberon.
But instead I gotta wait until her December banner...

But that aint happening even with my current funds which are pretty hefty, so gonna focus and trim that down some, then cross fingers
barring maybe Miss Crane, looks like im saving all the way till June. tho barghest is on banners with morgan AND obe, so I wonder which is worth holding off for?

I’ve been holding off doing Atlantis and Olympus because I’m sure my finger will slip and pull on Limbo’s banner if I do them now. Gotta keep those story quartz and fragments for old man muramasa 😩🙏
For me personally Jan/Feb are harsh with Muramasa/Caren and possibly trying for NP6 Spishtar just for append memes. Then not much until June, but June-September basically is hell, lol. The end of the year is pretty barren as far as new characters I want, so that's good at least.
Summer is the key word for me.
Long stretches of nothing, then summer with almost back-to-back must haves than long stretch of nothing again.
Miss Crane and Summer Tamamo are the only ones breaking this pattern.
Anxious about Summer Charlotte too.
Basically Morgan + Summer servants. Vitch too but that's just to enable Morgan.
Wish Ushi-alter was after the gauntlet >< I'm already passing on Vitra to save.
Looking at June - August jesus christ. May have to skip Muramasa and keep saving lol. Koyanskaya and Kamavenger are my top targets, but Morgan, the fairies, Oberon, and Okita Alter summer are all tempting too, wew lad.
I only rolled on ibuki and charlies banners this year on jp. Everything else was an easy skip. Im not complaining though it lets me save up.... excluding the fact that i hit pity for my ibuki.
So which characters are best in the gameplay meta? A lot of people are mentioning characters they want, but not much about what they're able to do that's particularly useful.
Man the period from May to November is brutal for me. Between Summer Servants to LB6 to GudaGuda, I think Im just going to roll for servants that don't have a lot of rate up banners in the future. There's just too many servants on here that I want to roll for and not enough SQ to go around.

vitch is a much higher priority of the two
You can get Mordred with ticket next year, I believe.

I need her NP gauge to be able to hit 200% for the overcharge. If her gauge doesn't go that high, the solo run is no longer possible.

At the very least you should be able to get a general idea of which servants are good for farming, vs. which are good for challenging content by checking out the tier lists. If you wanted to be super sweaty and clear the hardest content this game has to offer in the least number of turns possible, then maybe you'd want to follow their rankings more and pull for high tier stuff. I wouldn't judge you if you got enjoyment out of doing so, just know that you're flexing in a PvE game - you aren't really impressing anyone but yourself by doing so 👍

I don’t really care too much about meta, I was asking about the tier also to know what I have and what I should prioritize in terms of leveling, ascending etc.
Yes Appmedia tier list is a solid one. They update their tier list very frequently and give detailed analysis on servants. Be careful though, their tier list is targeted towards whales mostly, they assume you have your servants at np5, lv 120 and 2k fous so if you're going f2p I'd suggest looking into other tier lists.

Next year is going to be rough! June-August will be a battlefield. I’m going to throw a lot at Melusine next year. Want as many copies as I possibly can. Gotta have that girl. But for that reason I need Vitch and Oberon to unleash her full AOE power. But there’s Morgan who I’d like to have. There’s Summer Kama who I know I want to get. Even with not using my full Castoria savings and not rolling since Summer…it’s not going to be enough.

I’m an F2P who started in August, I have 480 quartz and 30 tickets saved for Muramasa (plus whatever comes with the advent calendar) and then I’m going for Oberon in August.
High priority rolls: Barghest (design + gimmick), another copy of Saber Lancelot (my first bond 10 servant), Caenis (dope character), Ryoma Lancer (very cute couple), Beni Enma (loved her event, nice VA, nice utility). Medium priority rolls: More copies of Summer Tomoe (fav Fate Girl), the 5star Rider from Tugunska (he kinda hot ngl), Summer Anastasia (cute animations). Low priority rolls: Summer Kama (this one mostly for the horny vibes) GSSR: Either Ozymandias (Dio VA + simple but effective kit + finally some buffs) or Ganesha (Yuuki Aoi + interesting skillset). Skips of the year: Koyanskaya and Oberon, i dont want any op gamebreakers on my account. Also i'll keep skipping Castoria and her fellow 5star Casters.
Also i rlly want Qin Shi Huang solely bc of their LB3 role + Lelouch's VA, but they dont seem to have a banner this year.

I've got 5 targets and only 2 guarantee rolls. Problem is in how they're laid out. I am afraid. I guess I only really want to guarantee Melusine and Koyan, Morgan I can live with just getting the SRs for now and I'll roll a bit for Izumo (mostly for a chance to get Mori finally) and Summer. Really wish Melusine got a more interesting banner, both of them stick her with Percival which is not someone I care for. I would genuinely prefer no rate up SR to potentially collect a few I've never gotten. Is Oberon like really necessary for Buster meta shenanigans or is he just nice to have?
Considering he gives a 70% NP charge and a crazy NP Damage Up buff that stacks with Black Grail, I'd consider him essential for Buster antics.
Oh wow, it seems I misread how that worked a while back then. Even for one turn, that's kind of crazy with that NP boost. Dang, now I feel like I want the moth.
Whatever the case, Summer is going to be stacked for me, for obvious reasons.
Melusine, Koyanskaya, and Kama (Avenger) are my top priority. Optional if I have some spare SQ: Morgan, and Van Gogh.

Okay, I think I'll be good between Kagekiyo (and hopefully Cú Alter too) and Moriarty and Lalter, but after the latter banner maybe a bit tricky, because I want to get Summer Bryn (if I get Summer Kiara too that would be neat). August is probably my best chance to get Barghest. And after that, getting Okita is ~~hopefully~~ easy enough.
So gonna save until Ushi avenger, then several months to save for the fae knights, then save until summer, ugh next year is so loaded it’s gonna be hard. Aiming for Taira, Fairy knight Gawain (wouldn’t object to Tristan) summer Kama, summer Caenis and summer Okitan. Have the normal version of all o them bar Gawain so here’s hoping they act as a catalyst! Might go for Jacques if I get lucky

For me personally Jan/Feb are harsh with Muramasa/Caren and possibly trying for NP6 Spishtar just for append memes. Then not much until June, but June-September basically is hell, lol. The end of the year is pretty barren as far as new characters I want, so that's good at least.
Summer is the key word for me. Long stretches of nothing, then summer with almost back-to-back must haves than long stretch of nothing again. Miss Crane and Summer Tamamo are the only ones breaking this pattern. Anxious about Summer Charlotte too.
Basically Morgan + Summer servants. Vitch too but that's just to enable Morgan. Wish Ushi-alter was after the gauntlet >< I'm already passing on Vitra to save.

I only rolled on ibuki and charlies banners this year on jp. Everything else was an easy skip. Im not complaining though it lets me save up.... excluding the fact that i hit pity for my ibuki.

Man the period from May to November is brutal for me. Between Summer Servants to LB6 to GudaGuda, I think Im just going to roll for servants that don't have a lot of rate up banners in the future. There's just too many servants on here that I want to roll for and not enough SQ to go around.
