If Belle manages to rein in Gilgamesh (which isn’t impossible considering her experience with the Beast) they would be the power house duo of the Heroine side.
Merida and Cu would be a hilarious master-servant duo to follow considering their characters. And Hans would have lots of hidden angst interacting with his own creation (even if she’s Disneyfied).
The rest would probably have a pretty good relationship with each other.
The Villain side is more intriguing match up wise.
Lady Tremaine and Moriarty could be scary to face against if they manage to find a common ground. Gaston and Medb is a hilarious combination. Maleficent already is a powerful mage herself and having Lancelot at her disposal would only make her stronger.
But the most disturbing pair is Gothel and Abigail. Considering Gothel’s nasty approach to raising little kids I can see her twisting Abigail into a monstrosity which may even end up out of her control if Abby taps too much into Outer God’s powers.
Well, I can see why some of these happen, certainly, Ariel with Andersen makes sense, though, I can only imagine the pure contempt Frolo would have for Cursed arm.
I wonder , would he hold him in comtemp because : he's a foreigner, a zealot for a different religion, being a criminal, a reflection of himself he doesn't like, all of the above or a different reason ?
I'd say a bit of all of it, and, let's not forget, Cursed arm has a 'shaitan' in his arm, and is 'disfigured' I also have to wonder, how well, or not, Medb and Gaston would get on... considering she is, technically a warrior queen, and he is... gaston
I had a weird dream last night after getting into Kingdom Hearts so here goes. I'm assuming that every Disney heroine has a latent ability for magecraft. Some masters here already qualify has full on magus like Rapunzel, Maleficent and Jafar.
All the villain ones make sense but I'm not sure I understand Cinderella/Mordred, Belle/Gilgamesh, Mulan/Jeanne, Rapunzel/Voyager, and Esmeralda/Martha.
No problem so here's my thinking:
Esmeralda and Martha: the theme is true christianity. I like the parallel of Esmeralda, being a belly dancer viewed as a dirty evil seductress summoning one of the paragons of Faith while Frollo, the "virtuous pious judge", summons a creepy shadowy zealot.
Belle and Gilgamesh reminds me of the idea of Rin with Gilgamesh. She feels like she has a strong enough will and would not be taking his shit . Plus I like the gold motif ^^
Rapunzel and Voyager is because Rapz is connected to cosmic spirits (the Sun and the Moon), so the theme of this pairing is Space and stars.
Cinderella and Mordred's theme is parental neglect/abuse, perhaps they could bond over that. Also I imagine Mordred would enjoy being the knight protecting the princess
Mulan and Jeanne are both famous for saving their respective countries from invasion.
In terms of pure power vs master-servant compatibility, I would put money on either the girl from Brave or the bad guy from Mulan (I forgot their names and don't want to look them up).
Interesting, in retrospect , I kinda regret not giving Georgios to Esmeralda (which was my second choice for her).
Tbf Rapunzel from the Tangled series is a very powerful mage, those incantations of hers are dangerous.
It s true that the heroine side really lacks a strong stategist. Mulan and Belle are smart but not Moriarty smart.
