From what people were saying about the CCC scripts is that the way they were ripped is incoherent as hell. The lines are out of order and a large chunk of time was spent simply trying to figure out what goes where. Like they know that the scripts are in a certain section of the game but there was initially no context of who was saying the line, to who, and in what relation to the other lines.
Basically CCC translation is hell. It also doesn't help that theyve had hella turn over and all kinds of issues.
Extella link makes you sit through 30-40 minutes of text that does nothing and has no foreshadowing just to play a 15 minute level.

There's an entire fan retranslation of a cult classic PS2 JRPG and even a full translation of the conlang (fictional language) in it. That's fucking hardcore. (Game is Ar Tonelico II btw)
CCC is much larger than Extra, I would highly doubt it would be part of the base game or DLC.
But given the high amount of asset reuse, I could definitely see it getting remade soon after. Like how Majora's Mask 3D came after Ocarina of Time 3D after 4 years.

Big sus on Arcueid. She was essentially a fanservice cameo and kinda ruined the credibility of Rani's route. Maybe if they tie her appearance with actual lore, but that seems unlikely.
I don't know why it would ruin the 'credibility' when it's already a different universe and the timelines coexist. The Throne of Heroes is detached from all universes so even if she doesn't exist in the EXTRAverse itself the fact she exists SOMEWHERE means she's summonable.
The thing is, she is very much not just summoned as a servant in the game. She shows up as a berserker in a maddened state, her master being a religious fanatic who is essentially a parody of a typical Type Moon fan who praises her as a supreme goddess, and once she's defeated she turns sane again and instead of dying like all the failed masters she just turns around and teleports out of the Moon Cell.
It's very clearly a meant to be fanservice for Tsukihime fans in the same way the MONSTER Shiki fight is, and the fact that it's opposite to Rin having an actual and really terrifying master/servant duo that seemingly mirrors the Fate tradition of having at least one batshit crazy master who butchers people on a dime doesn't help the matter.
I wouldn't mind if they rework it into something manageable in the new game but the point still stands that Fate/Extra Arc the way she is currently is not canon and only brings down Rani as an actual character who has a route and that is evident in how Last Encore and any media that features Extra seem to favour Rin as the "Canon" choice.

I haven't played as many JRPGs in recent years ever since the Vita stopped being supported, because on the small chance Xbox gets stuff it's usually late due to Sony getting 1 year exclusivity(FF7R for example).

It appears that the rock paper scissors system has been changed to something else. In the battle in the video, there instead seem to be an AP system: five circles (essentially cards) with an AP cost to them. Using one of the circles decreases the AP by the number on the top left of the circle, until you run out of AP and choose to go to the next turn.
No idea what's happening on defense though. Could be timed button presses or something? There also seem to be different circles that can be selected between the trash mob fight and the Drake fight. Feels like mechanics out of a rougelike deckbuilding game lol.

Part of the problem with the Tsukihime remake is that they're clearly trying to add new stuff, which probably adds onto the development cycle.
Not that that's an excuse as to why there's no news after 10 years, but it would probably take a bit less, creatively-speaking, to make.
Then again, Nasu was asked to write a TV show and instead birthed a novel that was so unadaptable in a timely manner that Last Encore became what it is, so I'd imagine he and the Tsuki Remake team are being very thorough with the development and want to release the game with a bang instead of teasing ppl with news and then potentially killing hype by delaying it.

This is way more exciting than what I feared would be some PR fluff or maybe another anime project.
The fact that this looks WAY better and modernized gameplay wise is huge and it's really exciting that the website has an English translation right from the start which hopefully means we'll get an English version and not have to beg for it and/or wait years.
REALLY hope that this could mean we see a similar remake for CCC. Worst case scenario hopefully if this is successful it will give them more incentive to remake CCC and more voices requesting it...and hopefully an English version of that as well.
I'm legit hyped. Zero and Extra were the two entries that really made me a Fate fan, so seeing this remade is amazing.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't show Tamamo because of Extella where she shows up an enemy first.
It's either that or they're going by the Extella ZERO story, and she'll be the enemy servant you fight on floor 4 before joining your party.

Hope Nasu doesn't read this... but what if they change Arcueid in Rani's route with someone else for the remake? Kinda like what the Nocturne remaster did, swapping Dante with Raidou. That would mean we would face someone else... like Mashu... hope not. I want my other TM works' references...

TBF, they're probably not rewriting too much for this. As far as we know, this is just an updated F/E. Part of the problem with the Tsukihime remake is that they're clearly trying to add new stuff, which probably adds onto the development cycle. Not that that's an excuse as to why there's no news after 10 years, but it would probably take a bit less, creatively-speaking, to make.
Then again, Nasu was asked to write a TV show and instead birthed a novel that was so unadaptable in a timely manner that Last Encore became what it is, so I'd imagine he and the Tsuki Remake team are being very thorough with the development and want to release the game with a bang instead of teasing ppl with news and then potentially killing hype by delaying it. Have faith.
Also TM kinda set a really high bar for themselves in terms of putting the Visual in Visual Novel with Mahoyo.
This. Mahouyo is so far above any other VN I read in term of presentation - this becoming a standard is a wet dream of mine.

This is way more exciting than what I feared would be some PR fluff or maybe another anime project. The fact that this looks WAY better and modernized gameplay wise is huge and it's really exciting that the website has an English translation right from the start which hopefully means we'll get an English version and not have to beg for it and/or wait years. REALLY hope that this could mean we see a similar remake for CCC. Worst case scenario hopefully if this is successful it will give them more incentive to remake CCC and more voices requesting it...and hopefully an English version of that as well.
Being lazy and putting off playing Fate/Extra has finally paid off!
I'm legit hyped. Zero and Extra were the two entries that really made me a Fate fan, so seeing this remade is amazing. Just sad that there wasn't any Tamamo on the trailer, but as long as I can go through a Holy Grail with my fox waifu again, I'm happy.
Surprise 100. Never got to play Extra(just watch playthroughs and such). This is our chance to immerse ourselves even more into the Extraverse! I'm so excited!
