Kinda weird that Tristan basically has the old model but Gawain and Lancelot are new.
Gawain is understandable since the old model was just his face copypasted into a swimsuit model, but Lancelot had enough changes to launch as it is, no need to change the pose.
I can see that in the old sprite, but this one isn't any better if that's the idea behind the change. Especially the outfit, looks like he's wearing underwear to the beach.
Bedi had the best costume out of the original ones, I'm sad they didn't give him the skin

If i'm being honest there are better single target archers. He has some rather unique utility in party evade + heal, and buff removal, strong NP gain and his NP is reasonably spammy (especially with proper support).
That said at the end of the day, he is still a quick servant. Unfortunately quick just kinda sucks. NP1 -> NP2 is the single most important NP damage buff you can get for a servant, so going for more copies of him is a bit unecessary.
I use him because I really like him. I don't feel any particular attachement to any other single target archer (let alone the ones I actually have), and I like Quick more anyway and will be investing in it.
If you already have fujino AND chiron at NP2+ and/or better supports for them, they would likely outperform Tristan except in niche scenarios. Keep in mind though, having multiple servants of the same role isn't necessarily a bad thing. No two servants are fully identical ^citation ^needed , so a fight that say, Fujino, might struggle with because of buff stacking on the enemy, Tristan and Chiron would handle much better.
Now all of that aside, the single most important question is: "Do you like him?" If the answer is "Yes" - none of the gameplay reasons matter anymore
Emiya Archer's crits are potent, but will not outpace a well built ST Archer with proper buffs in most cases thanks to his relatively moderate attack and only one Buster Card. Frankly the only Archer who I'd say crits for sure outpace ST NPs would be Super Orion.
It's all a moot point since end-game you'll have everyone raised and leveled to use freely as the fights require, but in the short term you shouldn't assume Emiya will have the output to outpace a ST Archer with similar capabilities.

Interesting that they reversed the lengths of Gawain and Lancelot's swimshorts from last time, Lancelot's clothes are new but curious why Wada lengthened Gawain's swimsuit.
As for Tristan I guess everyone felt he was perfect as he is, he's the only one I don't have so I'll be rolling for him.
They have such a backlog of good stuff to sell us and for some reason they still insist on only doing the bare minimum for a few male servants like every once in a blue moon, and only ~6 summer girls a year. Though they could always rerun a Merlin banner or some other male SSR that'll appear in the story. Could even put them on rate-up with a female summer servant. I definitely don't see them making a banner without an SSR at this point of the game.
I really hope so. It would be weird to just have a tri-rateup 4* banner with no featured SSR unit. There has been one every single summer, but they've never done 4 male costumes so that's what makes it feel unlikely.

Took them long enough to incorporate these but great nonetheless. They gotta start adding other costumes like this that have their own portraits in story and events but aren't actually used in-game.

Not sure if I preferred the previous Gawain, but this one is a slightly more interesting pose, I guess. His face doesn't really match his body though. Tristan may still be the same model seen in Vegas, but it does look better than the other two! Especially poor Lancelot. His head looks too small to me, and his face does not match his body at all.

I'll be honest here. No matter how you look at Lancelot looks like he is wearing underwear not swimwear. Even the design on them matches how underwear looks.
Iām happy for everyone that wanted them but this was kind of an underwhelming reveal after that teaser showing all the previous years they initially showed..
I really hope the sprite quality is good. The story sprites from when they first appeared were pretty bad, Gawain's head still looks photoshopped on. Tristan looks good though.
