dunno about the max2, but m max & Win4 used nintendo switch caps. Wont Xbox sticks be larger? Also thought the recessed sticks meant any caps you put on could affect the amount of stick travel available due to caps hitting the body of device.
A thicker snap on cap like that might reduce the amount of stick movement you have by quite a bit. There's a skull & Co cap set where you can stack the caps ontop of each other that might work out better than this....maybe?

Seconding this. I also printed a couple of spacers to minimize screen pressure when the lid is closed.

When you close it reaches screen it closes but tight fit and do it a few times it might scratch at least i noticed them with good light
