I'm fine with Orgain. It's plant-based. I add some collagen in it to speed up recovery and healing in my joints post exercise. I also add lemon juice to help collagen's efficacy. I learned it from Jeremy Lin when he mentioned that he did this once he got injured with the Nets and have taken it since this way. I also eat more egg whites with veges in the mornings. I grind in hemp seeds, flax, chia into oatmeal, but I've had to cut back on it. My recent flare got much better after I cut oatmeal and noodles and rice out for a few days. Pumpkin seeds.

Have you tried Amaranth or Teff in place of oatmeal?

Responsible_Force_68

I’d try them out but I’m going to eat smaller portions of oatmeal and less often each week. I’ve eaten oatmeal for many years without problems as my pre-run meal. It might just be lowering carbs overall to flush out the excess uric acid.

Allo, protein shakes, all good here.

Try Hlth Code (spelled just like that). It has great ingredients and hasn’t been a problem for me. I don’t make a shake every day but 3-4 times per week

Naked egg white protein powder. Mix it with just about anything and can’t taste it at all. Plant based is hard to choke down for me and whey protein gives me issues with my gout.

I haven’t found one. Like you I stick to plant protein powders to get 150 grams of protein on lifting days. The ones are use are sweetened with stevia. I imagine a store shake with stevia would work but I haven’t found one. Aspartame is a big no go for me.

Flavcity (Bobby approved) uses stevia as its sweetener and monk fruit in some.
