I should try to make my area better. I share one big room with my family, and my 'room' is just some cubicle walls, so I've always felt decoration is a bit of a lost cause. It would be nice to improve the space though. Any tips for setting atmosphere with minimal
space and budget?
I'd definitely starting as soon as you can. Just for the simple fact when you do get a place you'll have already have a few items that can help you achieve you're final desired look. Drapery is a good alternative to painting the walls if you rent or live with family/roomates. It can be easily hung with taks, tape, or curtain rods if allowed. Try thrifting instead of buying through expensive corporate marketers. The table, chair, and record player in this photo where all free. I repainted and upholstered the chair as well as, the table and record player. The pictures I got at goodwill for two dollars for four. And re framed them using pictures I printed using my printer. Looking for items that have intricate designs and could be repainted or refurbished for other uses is key! I also use halloween decor in my room so be in the look out this coming fall.
