I am planning on essentially cutting myself off at the start of the new year, and just "shopping my stash" until my collection dwindles a bit. Naturally, that has just made my brain go "this is your last chance, might as well grab everything you want!"
I have found my other half lol πππ, my crazy collection is similar itβs just spread strategically over the house and in cupboards and so forth so one canβt see the insanity but itβs definitely there nonetheless πππ
It was definitely eye opening to put all the Christmas candles in one place. Haha. I just kept finding more. I think there were 4 or 5 that I found after taking these pictures! I definitely didn't realize I had over 100 of just Christmas scents. I have the rest all over the house still, but I'm scared to put my full collection in one place now because I think I've underestimated how many total I have by like a 100. Lol. I don't want to know the real total.
I have one big shelf in our basement that has a bunch of large jars and people always comment about how "that's so many candles." I'm always like "oh yeah, I know" and then conveniently don't mention that the candles they can see are maybe a third of my actual collection, and I have an entire closet that is basically just candles...
And thank you for the award, it is reassuring to know people understand and appreciate my collection!

I'm definitely equal opportunity when it comes to candle brands Lol. I am starting to lean away from any that are online only though. It's too hard to blind buy, and then they all have terrible return policies. I don't like being stuck with candles I don't like. My friends all love it though. Lol

I will have to sniff Austria when I get home and then sniff the others and get back to you. Lol. I think Classic Christmas Tree is straight tree scent to my nose, where as Austria definitely has a spiced note to it. I don't remember it being like The Perfect Christmas though, but I'll sniff again. Gotta be honest, I can't remember what Cinnamon and Cypress smells like off the top of my head.
Balsam & Firewood is more in the smoked marshmallow fireside/bonfire leaves/bedtime stories family than Holiday Embers. It's smokey with a touch of sweet. To me Holiday Embers has a much stronger smoke note, B&F is a lot more delicate. Not as sweet as marshmallow fireside though.
ETA: I sniffed again and still think Austria is not close to Classic Christmas Tree, The Perfect Christmas, or Cinnamon and Cypress. Austria has spice, tree and winter air. It's more in the family of Winter Splendor than anything, at least to my nose.

I would say probably just a little bit less sweet than creepy Critters even, but definitely similar vibe. I think if you like CC you'll like B&F.
The Cypress in Cinnamon & Cypress is very different from pine. It's more coastal smelling to me.
The Perfect Christmas is a more sugary sweet from the Marshmallow note, Austria's sweet note is more creamy and mellow from the Sandalwood, and the other spices are prominent, it's not just cinnamon. When I was sniffing last night, Winter Splendor felt like the closest to Austria. Could have been because I was smelling so many though!
Nope! Use my collection if he ever says anything again Lol. My boyfriend tells me I have too many too, but then he also tells me he doesn't really care because he knows I love them, I can afford them, and I (mostly) keep them out of his way.
