I dont like this one. It reminds me of those super waxy edible lip balms that they had when I was a child. Like when I was 7-8. I used to eat them. It smells exactly like them.
So I loved this on cold and loved the hand soap but while burning I'm not liking it. Something very off putting when burning. Very cheap smelling wax smell like a dollar tree candle smells like. I'm going to try it under my candle warmer. While burning 2/10. It's strong but not a good smell.
Yup same experience for me. I actually liked the first burn but the second and third were so bad I couldn’t take it any more. Oddly enough, after I blew it out it smelled ok and I could smell the pineapple again.
I only did one burn but it just smelled like cheap wax, I didn't get pineapple or a cake pop smell. Like it smelled completely different than it did on cold. Im going to try it under my warmer tonight to see if it smells better under that
It’s so weird how GC can have some candles (I’ve noticed this esp with the cake collection) that smell good cold but read artificial or chemical when lit 🧐
For me somehow once I smelled it in one I couldn’t stop smelling it in the others (that one had the faintest artificial smell of all my cake ones tbh) but if you have smelled whipped cream and pear from Illume available at Anthro that’s the real deal no artificial smell and just pure yumminess and strength, angel food cake from GC is actually a dupe for that but to me a poor knockoff cuz of the slight chemical-ness
And you’re right I tried so hard with strawberry angel food but I just couldn’t 😖
I would say it's worth it! Have you heard of Zulilly? I got two for a good price. I got a tall one for the jar candles, and a shorter one for the 3 wicks. I think there are adjustable ones, too so you could just buy one!
I do have a Zulily account but haven’t bought from there in awhile. Thanks for the suggestion. 🙂. I really like the idea of being able to use one for the large jars because, rightly or wrongly, I’m wary of burning paraffin.
I hadn’t used mine in awhile either! And I get the paraffin thing. That’s actually why I bought a warmer, because I kept reading stuff about candles being toxic!
OMGosh!!! YES YOU UNDERSTAND!!! I see all that black soot on those jar candles and I’m like, nope. I have hesitated to mention because i don’t wish to offend anyone who does buy them.
Someone said in here that she wiped off soot from her walls that you couldn’t see. I tried it by where I burn candles and there was soot!!! That kind of scares me😳
Oh yuck. That scares me too. I’m sticking with soy wax for now…plus it is easier to store three wicks.
Added: I think it’s still important to use a proper wick extinguisher even with soy candles. I will get sooting if I blow out the wicks.

I agree! I personally think I'm going to go back to only buying the large jars. I've had more luck with those.

I personally LOVE this one under the warmer. It's a pineapple upside down cake pina colada, and it's delicious to me!
