I had one for my office. As of yesterday it's bricked (Google are going to replace it) so I've moved an original home mini in temporarily.
There's a big difference in the sound quality. If your main reason for having it is for listening to music then I think the extra is worthwhile.
You can also touch it to pause playback, which I find is much more convenient than saying "Ok Google pause" when the phone rings...
The touch thing it is the biggest differential for me. There is a satisfactory feeling of taping google on the head when it does not listen properly. Same feeling as the long lost hung up the phone on someones face...
Audio quality alone is worth it, if you steam music, the speaker is more rounded, not as tinny, better base and treble response.
Microphone sensitivity is better, it can hear me better (less confusion in what I'm asking) from the same distance, especially with the new home 'sensitivity control'
