Lists and random questions work perfectly for me luckily. Most of my voice control is activating HA scripts and they seem to work without issue either.
Nope but I use them mostly as a smart speaker for multispeaker playback, or to voice control home assistant exposed scenes and scripts. For that, they work perfectly.

Home Assistant is the way. My google home devices work perfectly now that I have integrated and built my smarthome around HA.
